tick... tock... tick... tock...

I have been doing nothing but wait for the past 2 weeks...

I've stopped going to work coz I feel restless at work. Plus people keep telling me that I can't do this and that... that just drives me crazy.

Hence, I have been mopping around, waiting for the baby to come out.

*****

My father in-law has been predicting the baby's birthday...

First it was 8th Dec... Just felt minor contractions for an hour... that's it!

Then it was 14th Dec... Still no sign of the baby...

Then it was 19th Dec... There was a false alarm when the contractions was 20 mins apart and lasted for over an hour. However, the mere mention of the word hospital, the contractions died off... Just like that...

Today is the 21st of Dec. It is the baby's EDD. I really really hope that he'll come out today. I don't want to sound like a bad mother or anything, but I just can't stand being pregnant any longer. The weight and wait is just so unbearable!

Baby.... If you can hear me, please come out today!

Confession of a heavy & fat momma

I have reached another pregnancy milestone this week... 36 weeks and counting!

9 months...

The baby currently weights 2.7 kg and I have gained 16 kgs since I got pregnant.

Sleeping comfortably is really a challenge now. It hurts every time I change positions to get comfortable. Don't get me started on the pain of getting out of bed. Nowadays, it takes me almost 15 minutes to actually get myself up and out of bed!

I now walk like I'm wearing a huge sack of potato over me. Even my lil' sis calls me 'cik peng' (short for 'cik penguin') because of the way I walk.

My belly now matches the size of Mr Judge's belly. Only mine is solid and his is all wiggly and soft.... hehehe... We can now do the belly-5 (bumping the bellys together like high-5'ing)!

For those who have seen my 'ranting-like' fingers before, you'll be surprise to see that they are now starting to fatten up. I can no longer fit into all the rings, except for the wedding ring, which was bigger than the rest to begin with. Even my wrist watch now is starting to feel tight and threatening to eat up on my flesh soon.

I really can't wait for the baby to come out, so that things can go back to normal. However, I really hope that it would not be so soon because the new place is still not ready. We need at least another 2 weeks before we can move in.

Should there be no update til after the delivery, do pray for me to have a safe and comfortable birth ya. Insyaallah....

HypnoBirthing

HypnoBirthing is a unique method of relaxed natural childbirth education. When I first stumbled upon an article on HypnoBirthing, I was really intrigued and was really keen to find out more.

After googling it, I've found out that HypnoBirthing was already practised in Malaysia for the past 5 yeears!

I didn't waste any time and had signed up for a class... I really think that it was worth investing money for the class and eliminate all the medical fees that you have to pay for all the modern interventions that they have now.

And so we went for an intensive 2 day course last week. The instructor was very friendly and helpful in teaching us on the hypnosis method that are used in HypnoBirthing. She even gave few tutorials on how you can hypnotise yourself into concentrating on relaxing instead of the labour pain.

It was really cool!

What was not cool was Mr Judge actually fell asleep during most of the hypnosis sessions... hahaha! Seriously, siap berdengkur ok....

*sigh*

I guess I cannot rely on him to read me the hypnosis script in the labour room when the time comes... Nanti dia yang fall asleep.

Hari raya for Bibik Part VIII

Part I | Part II | Part III | Part IV | Part V | Part VI | Part VII

Waduh... sungguh capek Bibik dibuatnya.

Sehingga kita ketemu dilain hari... Daaaaa....

Confession of an over-worked slave...

It has been a while since I've last updated.

I don't think it is too late for me to wish all muslims Selamat Berpuasa and if there is no update for the next few weeks, a Selamat Hari Raya as well...

As the title of the post says it, I have been slaving myself to work for the past weeks. Things just keeps on piling on my table.

(warning: this is the part where I shall rant about work)

I have to attend site meetings at the Bentong site every 2 weeks...

I had to rush for a last minute meeting with one of the Ministries.. only to find out that I have to prepare a business paper on my project and the submission date was within 2 days after the meeting!

I had to organise a buka puasa-do for the consultants for the project that I was handling...

I had to chase the finance people to pay the consultants that have been slaving themselves to make sure that the project is not delayed...

I had to be the project manager for an event that I would not be able to attend in December, as I will not be able to fly by then... (I have tried resigning from this position due to the unnecessary stress only to realise that my boss did not even read my resignation email that I had carefully sent to her!)

I had to prepare the annual budget for not 1 BUT 3 companies (or shall I say projects) that are under my supervision...

I had to prepare the costing and financial projection for a price negotiation with a government agency... and being bullied into doing more than what I was suppose to do.

I have to prepare for the upcoming Group Strategic Planning Retreat by the end of the month... There are still lots and lots of research to do....!

on top of all the things that are pending, I am now sitting at the Silver Kris Lounge in Changi Airport, waiting for my flight to Istanbul (via Dubai) to attend a 3 day meeting with a joint-venture partner.

*sigh*

I really don't know how I can cope with the tasks I have listed above, more so in my current condition. Thank God the pregnancy has been smooth for the past trimester (except for the raging hormones that makes me lash out to people easily).

I really hope that the baby will take after his mother in terms of being a multi-tasker (unlike his dad that can only concentrate on ONE thing at one time).... hehehe....

OK... enough complaining... Time for me to enjoy the food and maybe window-shop for a bit before I depart for Dubai...

Crossing the big three-O

So... yeah.. I have officially crossed over into another age group.

I can no longer tick the 20 - 29 box when filing in any forms....

How did I celebrate the coming of age?

By taking 2 days off work just to de-stress from all the impending crisis @ work. I made a reservation at my favourite spa and had a delightful cream bath head massage and a manicure! It was really the best treat I have had for a long long time.

Besides having to make a stop at the consultant's office in Ampang to sign off 30 urgent drawings and documents and one disturbing phone call from the office, my weekend was really a blissful one.

We had a quiet celebration at home this year, just the two of us. Next year, there'll be an additional tiny one joining us. I can't wait!

Kesian dia...

He spent the first half of his day being under house arrest today. He accidentally left his house keys in my car the night before and I just drove off to work with it this morning.

Luckily we just went grocery shopping the night before. Hence, he doesn't really need to go out to look for food. Plus, there were the leftover gulai ayam masak lemak cili api from last night's dinner in the fridge.

It was a coincidence that I had to attend a meeting at 3 p.m. at the consultant's office, which was just 5 minutes drive from home. So, I made a pit stop to drop off the key to him before the meeting - just in case he has the urge to smoke (yea.. I have a strict rule of no smoking in the house).

After the meeting ended (2.5 hour later), I gave him a call in order to let him know that I was on my way to pick him up to run some errands. The phone rang non-stop for 3 times!

Tertido ke pakcik nieh?

Ke tengah dalam toilet?

I parked the car and went up to check up on him and found him sitting outside the apartment, clad in his worn-off t-shirt and favourite kain pelikat, with a very weird smile plastered on his face...

"Why didn't you answer my call?"

"Huh? You called ke?"

I went to open the door only to find it locked.

"Laaaaaaaaaaa........ you locked yourself out ke?"

*rotflol*

hahahahahahahahahaha... (gelak sampai klua air mata)

Apparently he had gone out for a smoke about 30 minutes after I left and managed to locked himself out. The best part was that he had reheated the food and cooked some rice for lunch. He tought he would have a ciggie while waiting for the rice to cook. Last-last tengok nasi yang tunggu dia (for 2 hours) kat dalam rumah...

Kesian kat dia kan....

More reasons to be thankful for

Reason #1

As what I have updated in the previous post, we have celebrated our 1st anniversary last month. There was no big do for the day. We just had a bbq dinner with both families the night before, went for a movie & dinner on the day itself.

Yeah, boring eh... Maybe that's just the way we are. However, I really believe that it doesn't matter how you celebrate the day, it's the feeling that grew and continue to grow that's important.

To Mr Judge, thank you for choosing me as your life partner. I know I might not be a perfect wife, but I will try my very best to be a good one. I love you!

Reason #2

It is official. I have been promoted to Senior Manager!

The news was actually delivered to us (my colleague and I) a few months back. The Lady boss told us that she and Uncle Singh was pushing for us to be promoted because of our good performance and the responsibilities that we have shouldered over the last one year. Both of them believe that we deserved the promotion.

The Big Boss had approved the promotion (maybe he too realised that we have been involved in almost every major project/corporate initiatives for the past year).

Even though I am thankful for the upgrade in position and the extra $$$ that came along with it, I can't help but to feel a bit uncomfortable about it. You see, I work in a typical 'melayu' organisation where people just loves to gossip and talk about other people. Being promoted to Senior Manager within a year, while they still remain in their current position that they've been in for years does not make me very 'favourable' in their book.

I know I deserved the promotion. I have worked my ass off project after project and ridiculous datelines after another. Mr Judge could vouch for me as I've cried on his shoulder so many times over the last year, begging him to let me quit and just start my own goreng pisang business.

We'll just have to wait and see what's in store for me in the future. I have a feeling the work will be more demanding and the expectation will be set higher than before.

Reason #3

We have re-activated our search for a place to call home about 2 months ago. We have managed to get our financial standings in order and thought that it is just a perfect time to buy a house.

It didn't take us long to find a place that both of us like. It is actually just 5 minutes away from our apartment. A condominium unit on the 19th floor, overlooking a spectactular view of a green golf course! I get excited just thinking about the view... hehehe...

The loan has been approved, S&P Agreement signed, and now awaiting the developer's approval before we can get our hands on the keys to the unit. If everything turns out as planned, we should be able to move in before the baby comes in December. Insyaallah.

:)

Reason #4

I will be 5 months pregnant next week!

At first, the reality of it all did not really sink in for both of us. The stick says positive, the doctor says you are pregnant... so what? So I don't feel too good for a couple of weeks, but still... so what?

But when the black & white monitor at the gynie's clinic showed a tiny human being was actually growing in my tummy, everything just changed. As the picture on the monitor gets bigger and bigger during every check-up, we just can't pretend anymore. We are going to be parents soon!

The tummy's getting bigger by the day. However, people kept on saying that at 4 months, I don't really look pregnant, unless they look at the small bulge.

Now the only thing that both of us are looking forward to is to find out the sex of the baby. Is it going to be Binx Jr or Judge Jr. The baby had crossed its legs during our last check-up. So we'll just have to wait till the next visit to the gynie to find out!

An Update

I know I have been neglecting this blog for quite some time now.. It's due to the hectic work schedule... (yea.. yea.. blame the job)

Just an update before I have to leave for Lumut:

  • We have celebrated our first anniversary last Sunday. Time flies....
  • According to Uncle Singh, the Big Boss just promoted me one step up from my current position. One level up in a year? Cool!
  • I'm into my 2nd trimester already... 5 more months to go...
  • We've just signed our housing loan agreement last night. We have finally managed to buy ourselves a place to call home. Hope to be able to move in before the baby is due.

Will update more when I come back... Til then, take care!

of bitching, lying and resigning

We welcomed a new addition to our team 2 months ago.

The moment we sat down to have breakfast with her on her very 1st day, she had started bitching about the boss. She used to work with her long long time ago...

Imagine our surprise when she started to reveal stories bout the boss... gosh!

Her 2nd day, she bragged during lunch how she scolded the boss earlier for not being specific about something. She repeated the story around 4 times!

Soon after she started to dig stories about all of us... Maybe it was just her nature to get to know a person that way... I dunno...

Then we started hearing stories about her passing remarks about us...
... how she doesn't report to any one of us (coz she's more senior) so we should not instruct her to do anything (hello... we didn't 'instruct', we asked politely!)
... how she doesn't fancy her current roommate at the office
... how one of us is a bimbo coz she's an ex-stewardess
... how some of us are bossy
... how one of us is very tardy
... and many more

What makes it worse is that she can just walk into the bosses room and close the door behind them. It makes us wonder what transpires behind the closed door.

There was this one time when she left the room, she went to one of us and told her that how she rat on one of us.

REALLY!!!

Everything was fine and dandy before she came to the company.....

So, after all the above, it was just natural for us to avoid her totally. We tried our best not to get in her way during work... We avoided her during lunch...

Then you know what happened?

She went to the boss and told her that she felt sidelined by the team...

Just like a school kid!

To make the long story short, we decided to have a thrash out session with her. To confront her once and for all coz all these while we had just avoided the confrontation.

And you know what she did?

She lied through out the whole session! She twisted all the stories over and over that at the end of the day it all just doesn't jive. She even had the guts to say that one of us is the culprit for everything... That one of us was the one who created the whole tale!

OMG... How twisted can she be man...

We were nice enough not to shoot her down there and then. We just let her continue with her lies and let her go off thinking that everything was settled. She even said that after this she hopeto work together with all of us. We just ok'ed it.

That was last Friday.

And suddenly on Monday, she came to work all teary-eyed and handed in her resignation letter!

wtf laa kan...

I mean, if you tak buat salah, like you claimed to be, then why are you resigning?

Seriously!

Of course Mdm Boss did not accept her resignation laa kan... Instead she gave her a one week off to think things through....

Gosh... I seriously hope all this drama will end soon so that we can go back to normal. I seriously hate the office politics... I hate all the bitching and lying that has been going around for the last 2 months. It is really taking the toll on me.

Maybe she'll go ahead and resign.

Maybe then we can get back to the piling work!

All my clothes have shrunk!

I woke up one morning and found out that I can't fit into most of my work clothes...

I tried on 5 different outfits and none felt right. It's either too tight at the chest or waist area... It was so frustrating to not be able to fit in my favourite pair of pants...

I ended up wearing my 10 year old MNG drawstring wool pants... Thank God for drawstring pants!!!

Went back to my mom's place last week to curi some of her clothes (since they are mostly loose).

However, that doesn't solve all my problems just yet. I still have more shopping to do!

HELP!

My life since then....

We found out that we were pregnant around 3 weeks ago.

I was a week late and had asked Mr Judge to stop by the local pharmacy to purchase the home pregnancy test. I'm already a pro at this, since I've been buying the product on a monthly basis by now. However, instead of purchasing 1 package, I just grabbed 2 instead.

Went back home to test it out.

Usually, this would be the most suspense part. I was really expecting for only a single line. Instead, there was another faint line on the stick...

Betul ke nieh?

I tore open another stick and did the test again....

POSITIVE!

Washed the stick and went to show Mr Judge the result. I can see his face turned from confused to happy in a split second.

Since that day...

... I can no longer eat eggs and beef without feeling queasy inside
... I can only eat McD's nuggets for almost a week
... I can't get a peaceful sleep every night
... I've stopped drinking coffee - the hardest sacrifice so far
... I feel tired all the time
... I need a shoulder and back rub on a daily basis

I really really hope that this would be a smooth sailing pregnancy... If it's anything like my mom's three experiences, then I can count on having a good one too, Insyaallah.

*********

I've been doing a lot of reading, on the net and also books. However, I think the best book that I've read so far is "Belly Laughs: The Naked Truth About Pregnancy and Childbirth" by Jenny McCarthy. Yeah.. THAT Jenny McCarthy. The book is really honest and tells you everything, and I mean EVERYTHING that people sometimes don't tell you about being pregnant. I love it!

That's the sound of my heart, beating fast...

It is not a regular heart beat...

I can hear the beat while watching the TV...
I can hear the beat while eating...
I can hear the beat while playing Wii...
I can even hear the beat while trying to sleep...

It is really getting to me...
dup... dap... dup... dap...

It makes me feel so agitated...
dup... dap... dup... dap...

Things just don't seem right...

I is Tired

I am tired….

I know I have been blogging about being tired over and over again.

But seriously… I AM TIRED.

I work 6 days a week (most of the time, I will arrive home after 7 or 8 p.m.).

You would think that I would have the second half of Saturday and the whole of Sunday to relax…

NO……

… the sink will be filled to the brim with dirty dishes.
… there will be 2 baskets full of laundry to wash.
… the clothes than needs to be fold and iron.
… there’s also the cleaning, vacuuming, sweeping & mopping work to do.

These chores do not include cooking (if any) and any other impromptu tasks that requires my time and energy…

I am losing my mind and sanity for being over-worked and un-appreciated, at work and also at home.

I need a holiday soon!!!

Say No to Office Politics

I am tired of listening to people bitching about my boss behind her back...

I am tired of watching people stabbing other people's back without any shame or regret...

I am tired of being caught in the middle of a cold wars between one department head with another...

I am tired of people trying to "tai-chi" their work to others when all they do in their office is just watch DVDs and LLB (look like busy) all day long...

I am tired of watching people kissing the Big Boss' ass and rat on their co-workers...

I am tired of being screamed and shout at for something that was so minor just because that person was pissed at my boss...

I am tired of people who thinks that they are mightier than the rest. Just because they are a GM (General Manager) or even an AGM (Assistant General Manager), they think they only answer to the GMD (Group Managing Director)! Wake up and smell the flower laaaa.... You still have a few levels more to climb! That is if you get the chance to climb at all...

I am tired of working with mentally challenged people... It is like working with morons and clowns on a daily basis!

I am tired of having to defend myself for everything I do...

I am tired of office politics...

I AM JUST TIRED...

I just love the smell of the soothing air freshener that caught my nose the moment I step into the house...

I love the smell of the freshly washed laundry and the fabric softener's rosy smell every time I do the laundry...

I love the smell of the great meal cooking on the stove every time I have the chance to cook...

I love the feel of the soft bed sheets and the comfy pillow every time I lay down to sleep...

Confession of a Buncit Binx...

I woke up this morning with a mental picture of the outfit that I was gonna wear for the day. So, I ironed the white kebaya top, my favourite brown pants and a white tudung.

However, when I put on my favourite pants, the zip stuck midway. It would not zipped up!!!

When I tried to force it up, I can see my bulging tummy protesting against it and threatened to rip it off...

A quick glance at the time told me that I didn't have much time to find another pants. Hence, I had to modify the outfit. Thank god for the long white camisole that managed to cover the half-open zipper underneath the kebaya top.

Now I am sitting quietly at my cubicle, trying my best not to walk about too much coz if I were to do so, I am afraid that the zipper will burst and reveal my secret....

It looks brand new...!

We have been staying at the in-laws for almost a week now and I don't think we'll be going home any time soon.

You see, my FIL had enrolled Mr Judge for a Masters programme out of his own will. The programme requires him to just write a 100 page++ thesis on IT related topic and hand it in after 6 months. No classes required. No guidance from the lecturers/supervisors.

Mr Judge, being a person that hates to be forced into doing things that he doesn't want to do, had procrastinated the thesis writing until now. I was asked by FIL to be the caretaker for his son (in other words jadi guru besar yang kena pegang rotan laa). However, I can only do so much. Kalau dah 10 kali suruh and 10 kali encourage and orang tu tanak buat jugak... I nak buat macam mana kan?

Last week, FIL had taken the matter into his own hands. He had requested us to stay over in order for him to be able to monitor his son's progress. Plus, since MIL is a PhD Professor at a local university, she would be able to guide Mr Judge with his report.

So, I am stuck here for now. I don't really mind because I have people to help me out with my laundry and the cooking (they have 2 maids here). :D

But the traffic going into KL is TERRIBLE! Imagine going out at 7 a.m. only to reach your office at 9 a.m.!!! It is madness I tell you!

On another note, my car is back!

Fresh coat of paint...

New color...

No more bumps and bruises everywhere...

It looks brand new....!

I LIKE....

Confession of the Envious Binx

I know it's too early to feel this way... but I can't help it...

Case 1

A colleague of mine, who got married less than a month before me is now expecting. She is now almost 6 months pregnant.

She came up to my floor today and I just can't help but to feel a little bit envious of her cute bump.

Case 2

Mr Judge's cousins (brother and sister) got married at the end of last year. We were busy answering people's question about when we will be expecting during their wedding ceremony.

We met up with the couples 2 weeks ago and surprise surprise.. both couples are now 8 weeks pregnant. I think Mr Judge saw the dissapointed look on my face.

Case 3

An online friend shared that he was trying for a 4th child a few months after I got married. He kept on wishing me good luck on my pursuit to conceive.

He succeeded and are now patiently awaiting for the birth of the new addition to his family.

Like I said... it is too early to feel this way... but I just can't help it... I want one too!

Crash... Boom... Bang...

We had a pretty hectic and stressful weekend.

It all started with Mr. Judge's cousin's akad nikah on Friday afternoon. It was a simple yet beautiful ceremony, despite all the commotion that surrounded it.

Saturday, we were on duty for the wedding reception. We were all dressed up rather nice, maybe too nice till people mistook us for the wedding couple.. tsk tsk tsk...

We were suppose to attend another event after the wedding reception, a 3-year old + 1-year old birthday party. Since we were over-dressed for kiddie party, we decided to go back to the in-laws to change first.

Less than 5 minutes on the road again...

"CRASH....!"

My darling hubby had crashed MY CAR into the back of a lorry that was stopping for the red light!

The damage was really bad. The right light was smashed and the front hood almost folded into half. Luckily there was no damage done to the engine.

I can't help but to feel furious with Mr Judge. I know he was not speeding, and he was driving fine until the crash. However, he was the one behind the wheels and he was the one that crashed the car. AGAIN!

I have been driving the car for the past 4 years and never once did I crash the car (touchwood!). Geram nyaaaaaaa.

I know I made him feel bad (he should be)... I know he felt bad for the accident... But I just can't help it.

Now my car is at the workshop, going for a major re-work and a major make-over. The repair will take 2 weeks!!!

The thought of being car-less for the next 2 weeks was so unbearable. My FIL was kind enough to loan me his BMW (even though I told him that it was unnecessary). However, he insisted that I take the car but to never let Mr Judge to go behind the wheels... (hahaha... padan muka dia..)

Let's just hope the next two weeks will be a smooth sailing one....

Tragic Gastric Incident

I had another tragic gastric incident last wednesday...

Everything was going as normal during the day. However, I felt a slight sign of a gastric attack to come after lunch and has quickly gulped down the prescribed meds. I really don't want to risk having another attack that will spoil my 1st aerobic class that evening.

Yes... I've enrolled myself into a twice-weekly aerobic class with a mission to stay fit. The class was initiated by the ladies in my department that shared the same goal in mind. Hence, we have teamed up and formed a class and called a trainer to teach us aerobic. Excited youuuu....

Hence, despite the negative comment from the lady boss about the negative side-effect of aerobic that will spoil my attempt to conceive, I went ahead and joined the class that evening.

1... 2... 3... 4... 5... 6... 7... 8...!

8... 7... 6... 5... 4... 3... 2... 1...!

We stepped... we walked... we jumped... we sweat out... and most importantly we had fun!

However, on my way back, I felt a sudden sharp pain in my tummy and had a sudden urge to vomit. I had to stop the car by the side of the road (before approaching the Jalan Duta Tol) and started vomiting non-stop into the zip-lock bag from the sandwiches I've packed earlier that morning.

At that point of time, despite the cold weather (the rain was pouring hard) and the cool air-conditioning of the car, my body was perspiring heavily and I felt like I was about to faint.

That was when I decided to call Mr Judge, who was on his way back from Cyberjaya at that point of time. I thought I might else well let him know where I was before anything else happens to me (yeah... drama queen habis ok).

Since he was still in Cyberjaya, he decided to call for reinforcement. He called my two sisters for help, since both of them were at home.

They managed to get to me after a few u-turns... They came armed with the ever-reliable "Minyak Mestika" and a hot beaded bear (my sister's substitute for the hot water bottle). At that point of time, I was so relieved that they have found me and can drive me to the nearest hospital.

That was the worst gastric incident I've ever experienced.

Thank god my darling husband and my 2 sisters were there to my rescue!

Confession of a Jakun Binx...

I was working my butt off for the past 2 days to prepare for my CEO's meeting with the DPM today. 2 days of hard work with no time for breakfast & lunch break!

Then yesterday, Lady Boss told me that I had to be at the MoF Office to standby outside the meeting room, just in case CEO needs any additional info or any assistance. And, since I saw the Project through since the initial stage till now, I was the best person to be there. (Padahal dia malas nak pegi Putrajaya)....

So.. terpaksa laa pegi Putrajaya this morning. I never knew where MoF is located and what I saw was really impressive... Memang jakun la kejap kan... The building was very modern... and the interior decor was super nice.. all cream and bright... i like...

I was instructed to go straight to the 12th floor where the Minister's Meeting Room was located. Ketaq giler lutut masa masuk the lift tuh...

My CEO called me to enter the meeting room to clarify few last minute things before the meeting starts.. Once that was cleared, he asked me to just remain in the room and just take the sit next to him... perghh... I was not expecting that!

Once everyone had gathered (all the 13 Tan Sris and Datuk Seris... I was the only lady in the room!), DPM made his grand entrance.. Waaah... very the grand OK.. coming from the side sliding door in his bright white shirt and black pants suit with bright red tie and handkerchief in the pocket.... Dashing... Masculine... Powerful...

I just can't resist staring at him throughout the meeting. Jakun OK....

Oh well... I guess it was an experience of a lifetime. I don't think I would ever get that chance to be sitting in the same meeting room with the next PM again....

One year ago I had to assist the same CEO with his speech for an analyst briefing... This year, with the DPM...

Next year? The King??

*dream on Binx!*

The Weekend Getaway

We finally managed to take time off from our busy schedule to go for a short trip to Bukit Tinggi.

Yeah... Of all the places in Malaysia, we chose Bukit Tinggi... Why?
1) We thought it would be cold there
2) We wanted a quiet place to relax and escape from the Genting crowd
3) Hotels in Cameron Highlands are charging ridiculously expensive rate due to the holiday season
4) We just wanted to check out what is so great about Bukit Tinggi

So... We went... We saw... and we vowed never to return...

Why?
1) The temp was not as cold as we thought.. (Mr Judge cakap dekat Hulu Langat lagi sejuk)
2) The hotel room was so rundown and we think it was not worth paying the amount that we had paid.. Memang rip-off habis ok...
3) The hotel service was bad...
a) We had to wait until 3 p.m. to get our room! (We arrived close to noon)
b) We were sent on a scavenger hunt just to locate the Spa for our massage session (Lain kali specify laa betul-betul2)

Anyway, we managed to have a good rest during the trip (since it rained most of the time...). Nasib baik the massage session was good.. Kalau tak, mesti hangin satu badan.. :)

On Tuesday, we decided to check-out the most talk about Japanese restaurant in town - Tenji Japanese Buffet @ Solaris Mont. Kiara.

The food spread is really good that even the non-japanese-food-eater me had a jolly time munching on all the delicious seafood!

See the pics and you'll know what I mean....

Plus, check out the pics from other blogs that I've found... here.

For the japanese food lovers, I recommend you to go now.. They are having a promotion of:
RM49.90+ for lunch (regular price RM77) that starts from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m..
RM88 for dinner and weekends

RM50 bucks for lots and lots of crabs, soft shell crabs, shrimps, lamb, oysters, steamed fish, sashimi, unagi, sushi, udon, tempura, etc..., free-flow of sweet cocunut juice and delicious Häagen-Dazs!! I think it's worth it!

But make sure u make a reservation ahead to secure seats!

I am looking forward to the next holiday... This time it will be a spring cleaning weekend! I wonder if Bibik can help me out this weekend... hehehe...

I hate this part right here....

Mr. Judge is working the night shift again. I bumped into him at the lift on the ground floor this morning just enough to give him a peck and passed him the bag of garbage for him to throw.

I felt so bad that we didn't even managed to have a proper conversation this morning... so I rushed out off the office just as the clock struck 5 p.m..

Luckily the traffic was still smooth sailing and I managed to reach our apartment in under 30 minutes.

I was still smiling as I unlocked the grill and the door and was picturing the surprise look on Mr Judge's face when he sees me back so early.

However, I came home to an empty apartment....

He had to leave early today for a meeting.

Serves me right for not calling ahead....

:(

The most apt song for now....

I was having lunch with 2 colleagues the other day when one of them shared with us this story....

Colleague 1: You know what my 3 year old daughter sang the other day?
Me: What?
Colleague 1: Row... row... row your boat
Colleague 1: Gently down the stream
Colleague 1: Fucky... fucky... fucky... fucky...
Colleague 1: Life is just fucky...
Me & Colleague 2: Muahahahahahhahahahahahhahahahahhahahahahahhahaha..........

(Apparently she got it from watching the Donald Duck's version of the song... and no, Donald Duck didn't say fucky.. I don't think so lar kan)

And the song just stuck to me until today...

Whenever I am stuck doing a stupid task @ work, I now have a new mantra to chant... thanks to lil' Qis... :)

A sneeky copycat

I used to monitor my blog's traffic diligently. Every single day, I will click on the statistics tracker to check on the latest report.

I used to be curious on who reads my blog.

That was when I had all the time in the world to enjoy surfing the internet. I no longer have that luxury any more.

Now, I will be lucky even to be able to update the blog regularly. Well, at least when I do, I know that what I write is genuine and came straight from the heart!

I was shocked to find out that someone had mentioned this blog in one of her controversial post last week (thanks for the heads up, babe!).

Well, someone had copied one of my blog post (almost word for word, including the stupid spelling error that I've made - yea.. my english sucks, I know) and call it her own.

Seriously!

click on the image to read

Apparently that was not her first time plagiarising other people's blog post to be posted as her own. From what I've read, she even copied a blog post about other people's pregnancy experience to describe her own experience during her pregnancy. How crazy is that?

I guess she just sits in front of the PC on a daily basis and think of a topic to write for the day...

... hmmm.. what should I write about today? ... aahh... I went to the spa yesterday.. why don't I write about that... ... let's google the spa... ... aahh... here's a blog post on the very same spa...! ... ctrl+c .......ctrl+v ... update ... ok i'm done!

I strongly suggest for the blogger to just stop blogging if she carries on plagiarising other people's writing. Seriously.... It's just wrong.... She wouldn't want to end up like the actress-turned-writer who has created a massive controversy when she plagiarised a great author's poem last year (I think it was last year). Siap masuk Melodi tuh...!

Get a life!

To Piah Zadora: Thanks for the news... But, how in the world did you manage to track the plagiarism? Wa salute sama lu...
