Cyber to Reality

It's weird how modern technologies enable people to get acquainted and become friends but yet don't really require them to know the person, physically. In fact, I find it fascinating to chat with anonymous people online, and can talk about any topics under the sky (provided that the person is sane, decent & does not prompt for any cyber sex sessions laa). It's really cool to form friendships in the cyberworld, cause to me, you don't require a physically good looking partner to strike up good conversations with.

Over the years, I've come to know a few people over the Internet that I can call friends (e.g: Mr. e-d). And today, I've finally got the chance to meet another one of them, up close and personal. Finally after 2 years of chatting online, I get to meet you, in flesh. Thanks to my colleague's crave for the Vitamin C jabs laa kan..

Well, what I can say is that you're one interesting guy. I've known that since 2 years back during our midnight chats (yeah.. yeah.. the irresistible you.. hehehe). Hey.. I mean this in a very platonic way ok... So Mr. Z, here's to many more Rhumba treats from you *winks*. Don't ever be a stranger yeah...

And My New Year Resolutions Would be...

Last night a friend asked me, "So, what's your new year resolution gonna be?" And my answer was simple, "I'll be spending the new year's eve with my 2 best buddies with their hubby & fiance.. What do you think my resolution's gonna be?"

In 2005, I hope/wish to:-

  • clear all my CIMA papers (my brains dah nak tepu with all the strategic analysis thingy)
  • get started on my restaurant project/business
  • start exercising (need to be healthy)
  • try to wake up early every morning and not be late for work (I'll try)
  • be transferred to a new subsidiary, The Curve maybe (like my current boss is gonna let me go lar kan... )
  • do some traveling on my own
  • perform umrah with the family

Insyallah...

To everyone, have a good weekend and Happy New Year! May all of you have a blessed year ahead.

MAF14 on the Road!

Some of the interesting car registration numbers that I've seen so far :-

  • MAF14 (mafia)
  • PDL15 (polis)
  • PEN15 (penis)
  • JES513 (jessie)
  • BER22 (berdua-dua)
  • DR6161 (dr. gigi)

It's interesting to see how creative people can get with their plate numbers. Some go for their intitials, favourite number combination, and even significant dates or years. However, with the creativity also comes the cost. The price that you have to pay for those cool plates can shoot up to hundreds of thousands of ringgit.... wuuhhhoooo... Imagine that with one cool registration number, you can buy 2 kancils.. or even pay a down payment for a Peugeot or better yet a Beemer...

My dream plate would spell out "JAJ4"...

Is This a Sign?

I was utterly moved by the disaster that had struck South Asia yesterday. The Tsunami attack caught everyone off guard and is considered as the worst natural disaster so far in this decade.

The sadness of the families that have lost their loved ones were really heartbreaking. It was so moving that I didn't realise that my cheek was wet with tears by the end of the primetime news.

Is this a sign from God? Maybe He had sent a warning to us, his humble servants, so as not to neglect His orders. That is something we should really look into.

However, my deepest sympathy to the victims and their families. Al-fatihah for the Muslims that had died during the disaster.

What a sad sight...

The Tree, The Leaf and The Wind

Found this article again while browsing through a fellow blogger's archive. It had touched me the first time I read it, and I felt the same effect when I read it again.

The Tree, The Leaf and The Wind (3 sides of the story)

I really love the verse "Leaf departure is because of Wind pursuit. Or because Tree didn't ask her to stay". If you fall for somebody don't pretend that it didn't matter. Love is something that can't you can afford to have mind games. Quickly tell your love, you love him/her so.

Tree
===

The reason I'm called tree is because I'm good at painting trees. Overtime I start to use a tree on the right hand corner as a trademark for all my watercolors painting. I have dated 5 gals when I was in pre-U. There's one gal who I love a lot but never dare go after her. She doesn't have a pretty face, doesn't have a good figure, doesn't have outstanding charm. She is just a very ordinary gal.

I like her. I really like her. Like her innocent, like her frankness. Like her cuteness, like her intelligence and her fragility. Reason for not going after her is because I felt somebody so ordinary like her is not a good match for me. I'm also afraid that after we are together all the good feelings will vanish.

I'm also afraid other's gossips will hurt her. I felt that if she's my gal, she will be mine ultimately & I don't have to give up everything just for her. The last reason, made her accompany me for 3 years. She watch me chase after gals, and I have make her heart cry for 3 years.

She wants to be a good actress and I'm a very demanding director. When I kissed my 2nd girlfriend, she bumped into us. She was embarrassed but smile & say "Go on!" before running off. The next day, her eyes was swollen like a walnut. I purposely didn't want to think about what causes her to cry but laugh at her the whole day.

When everybody go back home, she was alone crying in the classroom. She didn't know that I returned from soccer training to get something. I watch her cry for an hour or so.

My 4th girlfriend didn't like her. There was once when both of them quarreled. I know that based on her character she's not the type thatwill start off the quarrel. But I still sided with my girlfriend. I shouted at her and her eyes was filled shocked. I didn't care about her feelings and walked off with my girlfriend. The next day, she still laugh & joke with me like nothing has ever happened. I know that she's very hurt but she didn't know that my heart ache is as bad as hers.

When I broke up with my 5th girlfriend, I asked her out. After going out for a day, I told her that I have something to tell her. She told me that coincidentally, she has something to tell me too. I told her about my break up and she told me about her getting together. I know whose the guy. He has been going after her for quite a while. A very cute guy full of energy, lively and interesting. His pursuit for her has been the talk of the school.

I can't show her my heart ache but could only smile & congratulate her. When I reach home, the heart ache is so strong that I can't stand it. It's like a heavy weighted stone on my chest. I couldn't breath. Wanted to shout but can't. Tears rolled down & I broke down & cry. How many times have I seen her cry for the man that doesn't acknowledge her presence too.

During graduation, I read a sms in my hp. It was send 10 days ago when I broke down and cry. I haven't read it since then. It says "Leaf departure is because of Wind pursuit. Or because Tree didn't ask her to stay"

Leaf
===

During Pre-U days, I like to collect leaves. Why? Because I felt that for a leaf to leave the tree she has been relying on for so long it takes a lot of courage. During the 3 years of Pre-U I was on very close terms with a guy. Not BGR kind but as buddy kind. But when he had his 1st girlfriend, I learnt a feeling I never should have learnt - Jealousy. The sourness in the heart can't be describe by using a lemon. It's like 100 rotten sour lemon. Sourness to the extreme limit. They were only together for 2 mths. When they broke up, I hide my strong sense of happiness. But after a mth, he got together with another gal.

I like him & I know he like me. But why won't he pursue me? Since he love me why he doesn't want to make the first move? Whenever he had a new girlfriend, my heart would hurt. Time after time, my heart was hurt. I begin to suspect that this is a one sided love. If he don't like me, why does he treat me so well. It's beyond what you will normally do for a friend. Liking a person is very heart wrenching. I can know his likes, his habits. But his feelings towards me I can never figure out. You can't expect me a gal to ask him right?

Despite that, I still want to be by his side. Care for him, accompany him, love him. Hoping that one fine day, he will come & love me. It's like waiting for his phone call every night, wanting him to send me sms. I know that no matter how busy he is, he will make time for me. Because of this, I waited for him. The 3 years were the hardest to go through & I really want to give up. Sometimes, I wonder should I continue waiting. The pain and hurt, the dilemma accompany me for 3 years.

Till the end of my 3rd year, a 2nd year junior begins to go after me. Everyday he pursuit me relentlessly. From outright rejection to a point in time when I felt that I'm willing to let him have a small footing in my heart. He's like a warm & gentle wind, trying to blow a leaf away from the tree. In the end, I realized that I didn't want to give this wind a small footing in my heart. I know this wind will bring this badly battered leave far away & better land. Finally I left tree, but the tree only smile & didn't ask me to stay. Leaf departure is because of Wind pursuit. Or because Tree didn't ask her to stay.

Wind
====

Because I like a gal called leaf. Because she's so dependent on tree so I have to be a gust wind. A wind that will blow her away. When I first met her, it was 1 mth after I transfer to the new school. I saw a petite person looking at my seniors & me playing soccer. During ECA time, she will always be sitting there. Be it alone or with her friends looking at him. When he talks with gals there's jealousy in her eyes. When he looked at her, there's a smile in her eyes. Looking at her became my habit. Just like she likes to look at him.

One day, she didn't appear. I felt something amissed. I can't explain the feeling except it's a kind of uneasiness. The senior was also not there as well. I went to their classroom, hid outside and saw my senior scolding her. Tears were in her eyes while he left.

The next day, I saw her at her usual place, looking at him. I walked over and smiled to her. Took out a note & gave to her. She was surprised. She looked at me, smiled & accept the note. The next day, she appeared & pass me a note and left.

Leaf's heart is too heavy and wind couldn't blow her away. It's not that leaf heart is too heavy. It because leaf never want to leave tree .

I replied her note with this statement and slowly she started to talk to me & accept my presents & phone calls. I know that the person she loves is not me. But I have this perseverance that one day I will make her like me.

Within 4 mths, I have declared my love for her no less than 20 times. Every time, she will divert away from the topic. But I never give up. If I decide I want her to be mine, I will definitely use all means to win her over. I can't remember how many times I have declared my love to her.

Although I know she will try to divert but I still bear a small ray of hope. Hoping that she will agree to me my girlfriend. I didn't hear any reply from her over the phone. I asked "what are you doing? How come you didn't want to reply?" She said, "I'm nodding my head". "Ah?" I couldn't believe my ears. "I'm nodding my head" She replied loudly. I hang up the phone, quickly changed and took a taxi and rush to her place & press her door bell.During the moment when she opens the door. I hugged her tightly. Leaf departure is because of Wind pursuit. Or because Tree didn't ask her to stay.

Ruldoph the Red Nose Reindeer

What a very long interesting night I had...

Dinner with Bread & Butter

Before going for our wi-fi quest, me & my wi-fi buddy decided to fill our tummy 1st @ my fav sandwich bar. However, a simple request of a vege-less triple decker chicken & turkey bacon sandwich had caused the whole restaurant crew puzzled.

Crew #1: Ah...? Are you sure you don't want vege in your sandwich? Not even some coleslaw?
Me: Yes.... I'm sure
After exchanging thoughts
Crew #2: Excuse me Miss.. Just want to confirm your order.. You ordered a .....sandwich but without vege, right?
Me: Yeah...
Crew #1 & 2: exchanging funny smiles and funny faces

Then from my back I could hear laughter (obviously it was my buddy laughing his hearts out)... Dang! And that had caused the entire crew to laugh... Why laa you have to laugh in front of them? Wait until we were seated outside.. lepas tuh nak gelak.. gelak laa... haiyoooo...

Wi-fi @ Starbucks

After a very long dinner, we headed to our fav coffee shop to surf the net. The ultimate mission for the night was to help my buddy to find out what happened to his "trackback" link for his Halo-scan comments. So we spent an hour comparing out html templates (well... we're mere beginners.. still crawling our way to learn the codes) over a mocha coffee and cafe latte.. After a few kicks in the shin.. he finally fixed the problem (thank god) if not for sure we'll be stuck there for hours.

Escaped Reindeer

After my rendezvous at Starbucks, I went straight to my cousin's house to meet her. She just came back (unplanned) from Japan (she's taking an engineering degree there).. As usual, her mom had cooked tasty food (nasi kerabu & laksa johor)... My fav. laksa johor.. yummy..
Then, my lil' sis called to asked us to teman her to go fetch our niece @ Uniten (the poor girl has been planning to spend the weekend alone.. haih..). So, off we went, cruising the streets of KL @ 12am.. talking at the top of our lungs to be heard over the loud club music..catching up on the latest family gossips.. And my dear cousin, being the joker that she is, had wore a free red reindeer's ear that my sis got from Hartamas Square. That was not the worse part... The worse part is when she tried to scare people in other cars by plastering her chubby face at the window.. It was so damn funny yet embarrassing... Imagine how I felt, driving a car with a mad reindeer in it.. *lol*

However, it was truly a good start for a very long weekend. Tomorrow we're off to One Utama to shop till we drop.

A Lost Love Found...

"When you love someone, let her go..
If she comes back to you, she's yours to keep"

The famous saying crept to my mind when I was watching the latest Charlie Kaufman's movie, "The Eternal Sunshine on the Spotless Mind".

Through the very twisted storyline, the underlying message that the writer's trying to convey did not escape me. Even though how hard you try to erase someone you truly love from your mind, true love will always prevail.

The movie is actually about how Joel (Jim Carrey) tries to erase the memories of his relationship with his girl, Clementine (Kate Winslet), after finding out that she had done the same thing and does not remember who he is to her. During the process, while in his deep sleep, the technicians (Elijah Woods, Mark Ruffalo) systematically conjuring up his memories of Clementine in order to erase it totally from his mind. As Joel travels back through his memories of the relationship-not the most recent ones, which come first and are nasty, but the earlier ones, the moments in which Joel and Clementine had a deep and pure connection-he remembers what he loved in her. He goes to a heartbreaking time in which she talks about her fears of being ugly as a child, and he pleads with the technicians in the heavens (who can't hear him-he's sleeping): "Please let me keep this memory." The scenes after that goes showing how Joel tries to hold on to those memories, not letting go. He tries to push it way back in his mind where it falls outside the map that the technicians are trying to erase.. (twisted... yeah I know...)

I love how they end the whole thing. Joel and Clementine actually found each other, without realising the fact that they had gone the extra mile just to erase each other from their minds.

"How happy is the blameless vestal's lot!
The world forgetting, by the world forgot.
Eternal sunshine of the spotless mind!
Each pray'r accepted, and each wish resign'd."

What's in Your Handbag?

Yesterday, while purchasing something for a friend, I accidentally dropped my handbag and spilled the entire content on the floor. Intending to help, Mrs. N squatted down and started collecting my stuffs, one by one. However, suddenly she was giggling like a lunatic and just couldn't control her footing and lost balanced.

What was so funny? I asked myself the same question...

What was in my bag? :-
  1. my purse
  2. my Samsung handphone ( Cap Ayam - as Mrs. N calls it :p )
  3. cheque book - it's easier to carry it with me cause I tend to forget when my car loan dues.. so if the bank calls, I can make the pmt ASAP
  4. a notebook - leftover frm my exam days.. now i use it to scribble reminders
  5. my FTMS college ID - forgot to take it out after the exam
  6. my thumb drive
  7. a pocket mirror
  8. a spare handphone battery
  9. a compact powder
  10. a tube of lipstick
  11. a lip gloss
  12. a box of Mentos cool chews - lime mint for the bad after taste esp. after lunch
  13. Plum candy (asam boi) - for emergency, esp. time rasa nak muntah (I get that quite often)
  14. Medicine - for headache, gastric & tummy ache (leftovers frm last week's trip to the Dr.)
  15. a bottle of ointment (minyak urut) - Minyak Mestika - used is last week during my gastric attack.. so left it in the bag just in case..
  16. a spare Kotex - for rainy days
  17. 2 months salary slips
  18. Ejan's wedding invitation
  19. Avillion package pamphlet

How did it all fit into one bag? Mind you, I don't carry small handbag to work. Mine's a very handy bag (like Doraemon's pocket, where large items like a door too can fit in it), where everything that's essential to me can fit into it. On rare occasions, I can fit my breakfast in it too (a slim tupperware).

my MNG bag is somewhat similar to this one.. Posted by Hello

I considered it as a good investment, cause I don't need to carry so many things at one time. Plus, I will always be on the go, esp. during my morning rush hours.. (no time spent to find my stuffs or think of which bag will go with the day's outfit.. it's one color fits all)

So, to Mrs. N.... stop laughing bout me having my Minyak Mestika with me all the time (hey.. wangi tau!).. And some people do bring minyak urut to the office... It does not stink..

Joke of The Day

My previous post about the fake MC had me started on this joke (Don't ask me how...) And to my bewilderment... the people that I 've shared it with haven't heard of it before....!! "Isk isk isk.. bawah tempurung mana laa you all duduk nieh?"

The joke goes something like this:-

Jawa Jongang jalan-jalan
Jumpa Jenab Jambu
Jawa jeling Jenab
Jenab jeling Jawa
Jawa jolok Jenab
Jenab jerit: "Jangan Jawa jangan"

"Today I had a thought.. What if I never have met you?"

That was a line said by Carrie Bradshaw in one of the episodes of Sex & the City (SATC).. The simple line had made me paused to think.. "Yeah.. What if I never have met you? All of you...."

What if.....? Posted by Hello

What's up Doc?

J: Tomorrow I'll be on MC.. So anytime you wanna hang out just gimme a buzz yeah.
Binx: Aiks.. you can already predict that you're gonna be sick tomorrow ah? Terror....
J: Ala.. standard ah.. pegi jumpa Dr., kerut-kerut sket dahi tuh.. buat muka selebet...

=====================================

At the clinic:-

Dr. X: So what's wrong with you young man?
J: I'm not sure laa Dr... I am so stressed for the past few days that my head feels like exploding.
Dr. X: Whoa.. that bad ah? Oh my.. I guess it must really be serious.. Look at your hands..it's shaking...
J: (Looking at shaking hands - good job guys!) Hmmm... yeah.. It's been at it for a few days already.
Dr. X: Ok.. I'll prescribe you an anti-stress pill to be taken for so-so... until you feel back to normal yeah.. Don't overworked yourself..
J: Thanks Dr... No I won't.

=======================================

Two months back, I was damn late for work (very late) that I've decided to fake an MC.. However, being the innocent me, I sucked at this faking sick business. So, I seek the expertise of J... and he asked me to pull the same trick illustrated above..

Me: J... help!.. How to fake an MC?
J: Eh.. Don't tell me you never done it before?
Me: Hey dude... this is me you're talking to.. Of course not!..
J: Hahahahaha... yeah.. I forgot laaa..
J: Ok Ok.. ala cakap je stress..
Me: Stress? You think the Dr. will buy it ah?
J: Of course... Don't forget the hand shaking part though.. That's critical.
Me: Hmmm... tgk la...

I was not convinced.. So I asked Nai & Ejan (other fake MC experts)... (the conversation was carried out through e-mail)

Me: Girls....! So how? J asked me to...(explain the whole story)
Ejan: *lol* My god girl....! You sure pandai buat lawak pagi2 nieh ek...
Me: Hey... mana ada lawak.. Im dead serious laa....
Nai: Hahahahahaha..... nampak sangat you nieh tak pandai tipu
Ejan: Tuh ah... lurus bendul
Ejan: Ala... cakap je apa-apa.. Sakit kepala ke.. sakit perut ke... Ada ke stress? Aaaaa Dr... tlg.. I'm so stress.. please gimme an MC... hahahahaha.. You crack me up...
Me: eeeeiiiiii....... keji tau.....

I ended up with the sakit kepala excuse and got away with it.

However, my point of discussion is... how far have you ever stretched the truth to obtain an MC? I mean, what was the reason you gave? It's easier for the girls to fool the Dr.. Cakap aje period cramps terus dapat MC.. But you can't fake it every time kan.. Plus the Dr. can monitor your cycle kan...

So.. do indulge me with your thoughts...............

The Sims 2

I've finally got hold of the game after a trip to Law Yat Plaza last weekend. Have been planning to buy it since it came out but had to postponed the thought due to the irresistible lure that I know I can't handle during my study leave. So now, exam's over.. game on!

For those that have enjoyed The Sims, you would know the excitement of the game. Now with the new game the fun is doubled.

Yeah... I know I'm not at the age of going goo-goo-gaa-gaa over a computer game. But, I guess I'm hooked. Thanks to my ex for introducing game to me, way back in my uni years.

At first I was skeptical over the whole thing. It's just a simulation game... with simulated figures in the simulated world, living in a simulated house full of simulated things. But, once I've downloaded it into my notebook.. I just can't seem to stop living in the simulated world. It's way cool.

The game actually explores the player's wants and needs and translated it into The Sims' world. The player can create a character of his choice (with an option of a single character or with families). Then he can start choosing the right spot for the chosen character's house. Constructing the house is by far my favorite part of the game. Always wanted to see how your dream home looks like in 3-D? Check the game out.

Plus.. If you ever need a stress reliever, try playing the game. When going through my break-up, I've created a character that resembles my ex (no I'm was not 'gila bayang'). Oh how I've enjoyed every moment of torture that the character had gone through.. hahaha.. What did I do? Oh.. nothing fancy.. Just built a small swimming pool and instructed the character to swim before getting rid of the ladder *wink*.. It was pure joy watching the guy swimming round and round the pool looking for the ladder and screaming for help.. (eh.. I'm not a psycho.. but the situation beckons for a revenge and I chose the simulation way..).

So.. to my friends, if I don't come to work or make excuses not to go out with you guys.. you know where to find me.. *wink wink*

What to do?

If your daughter grew up to be rebellious, who are you to blame? Will you blame her for being rude to you? Will you blame her group of friends for influencing her to behave in such a way? Or would you blame yourself for not providing her with proper guidance?

These are serious questions to ponder.

Parents may have groomed their kids well.. Providing them with sufficient religious lessons, instilling the believes and way of life. They very well have showered the kids with love and affection. Buy them everything that they want. Cook or buy every single thing that they want to eat (even if it means going a distance just to get that particular meal). What they expect in return is just that the kids give them a little bit of respect.

Coming from a very laid back family, I don't see why you need to rotan your kids if they are a tad slow in doing their chores. Face it, their are just kids. I can't understand why you have to smash the PS2 when your kids are arguing over who gets to play what game. I can't accept the idea of throwing your daughter's handphone out of the car window when you found out that she's talking to a guy. You may have you reasons for doing all that, but the way you express your disagreement towards their actions are giving them the wrong messages.

To the kids, you are just meddling with their lives. When they are still young, they will accumulate the negative emotions caused by the anger you've inflicted on them. And when they've reached a certain age, the rebellious mode will be switched on. This is the time when they'll know no fear of the parents. Nothing the parent could say to change their minds. Nothing the parents could do to stop them from going out with the foreigner that they think they love.

In these type of situation, who are we to blame? Do we blame the parents or the kids?

I guess we can't just blame one party. However, don't you think it is like the "chicken and egg" situation here? I mean, if you analyse it, it will always point back to the parents. Hmmmm... tough eh. We can't say that the parents are the villain cause the kid is all grown up and has a mind of her own..

I've been approached by a worried mother this morning about her rebellious daughter (aged 18). She had seek for my help to advice the daughter, since the daughter really adores & look up to me. But, how am I suppose to meddle into their family problem. The best that I can do is talk to her about it and the rest is up to her. I can't force her to do what I tell her to do. I can't ask her to break-up with her foreigner boyfriend. I asked her to stop going to Zouq every week nights while her parents thinking that she's at her apartment in uni - studying.

The mother really hopes that I can knock some senses in the daughter's head. Although I know that I should try to relay the mother's message to the daughter, I don't feel that I can penetrate those thoughts deep into her. Knowing how teenager her age feels, those words would just go through one ear and comes out the other. Buang air liur aje.

Oh well... I do pray that the kid would not go beyond what is expected of her. Currently, she's been threatening to run away from home every time the subject is being discussed by the mother....... Aaaah... young girl following her first true love instinct... Susah.. susah...

The Curve - The Lifestyle Mall

Yesterday I was summoned by the Financial Controller to be at The Curve, the latest edition to our Group's family to memeriahkan lagi the new Mall. Apparently, they were having a pre-soft launching event at the Mall and needed people to fill the space of the Mall so that it would not look too barren on TV (NTV7 was covering the scene for the night with Dang Suria as the interviewer). So, memeriahkan the Mall we did....

FREE Starbucks Mug

Since it was the opening week of The Curve, most of the shops are having promotional give aways, including my fav coffee store, Starbucks.

Little did I know that those of us that were summoned to the Mall were given an allowance to roam the shops.. No wonder there were lots of the Group's staffs around... So apa lagi... Me & my Starbucks buddy straight away headed for the coffee shop (heaven) laa kan. And since he made such a big fuss about me owing him a Choc Frappucino.. I paid for his drink unwillingly (dah laa selamba jek order a grande when I only ordered a tall coffee) *wink*. Dah laa org paid for his drink, he actually gave his Starbucks card to be stamped!.. Dang! Where in the hell is my card?

However, I guess there were a blessing in disguise.. Since the total purchased was above RM20, I got a FREE mug... And that buddy of mine was flabbergasted... Kidd.. the look on your face was.... priceless.. muahahahaha...

Kamiseta

This is by far the best shop in the Mall. It is a new brand from Manila and marketed by our very own purchasing team, headed by a fav colleague of mine... One glance at the layout of the shop, you will fall in love with it. It is so comfy and pretty... (Nadia.... commission yeah *winks*). Even her husband was saying that putting the plush & comfy sofas was a very good and thoughtful idea (finally, the guys' prayers have been answered!). So people.. go check it out yeah..

Cafe Marche

The cafe is excellent.. Didn't get a chance to sample the food yet, but the reviews I got from reliable sources says it all. It offers variety of food frm pasta to dessert spreads.. One look at the fruit trifles was enough to set my stomach to its growling mode. So girlfriends.. I'll take you there some time soon ok..

Finally....The Rasta Retreat

After like a year of not lepakking together, I've finally got to meet up with my fellow management trainee colleagues.. As part of the training program, we had to spend 3 months going around the subsidiaries for the familiarisation program. 3 months is a long time for us and what a joyful 3 months it had been. Now, 1 had left the company for a greener pasture, 2 have been seconded to run the Mall and another 2 have become a permanent number crunchers (guess which group I belong to?).

Miss them heaps.. There were lots of things to catch up on, the latest updates, latest gossips, latest kutuking session.. Plus, our retreat session was joined by the old and new batch of trainees.. So we got to trade the funny stories and also the gruesome moments throughout the training program (which I will share in another post).

Anyway, thanks guys for making me laugh so hard.. I really had a down day before.. but the outing had changed it into a great one. Kudos to Kidd for the hard laugh over the free mug :)

To Risk....

From an email I received from Mr. Irresistable

To laugh is to risk appearing the fool
To weep is to risk being called sentimental
To reach out to another is to risk involvement
To expose feelings is to risk showing your true self
To place your ideas and your dreams before acrowd is to risk being called naive
To love is to risk not being loved in return
To live is to risk dying
To hope is to risk despair,
and to try is to risk failure
But risks must be taken,
because the greatest risk inlife is to risk nothing
The person who risks nothing,
does nothing, has nothing, is nothing, and becomes nothing
He may avoid suffering and sorrow,
but he simply cannot learn and feel and change
and grow and love and live
Chained by things that are certain, he is a slave
He has forfeited his freedom
Only the person who risks is truly free.

Dare to take a risk?

Tentang Seseorang

teruntuk mu hatiku
inginku bersuara
merangkai semua tanya
imaji yang terlintas
berjalan atas satu
tanya slalu mengganggu ku
seseorang itukah dirimu kasih

kepada yang tercinta
inginnya ku mengeluh
semua resah di diri
mencari jawab pasti
akan kah seseorang
yang ku impikan kan hadir
raut halus menyelimuti jantungku

cinta hanyalah cinta
hidup dan mati untukku
mungkinkah semua tanya
kau yang jawab

dan tentang seseorang
itu pula dirimu
ku bersumpah akan mencinta

Ok... Binx have switched into one of her melodramatic moods (sirens all over). Love the lyric of this song by Melly Goeslow, which was played in the famous Indon movie Ada Apa Dengan Cinta.

I bet most people would ask themselves 20 questions when they are pursuing someone they admire/like/love ("Is she/he the one?", "Would she/he like me back?", "Are we OK together?", "What does she/her thinks of me?"). Sometimes these questions would lead to another series of questions that may end up nowhere.. And when you are done interrogating yourself, you will then wonder what that someone thinks of you.. You wish you could disect her/his brain just to find the answers to your questions. With that being close to impossible (unless you are Dr. Naj), you will then settle with interpretting her/his actions/body languange/tone/etc. whenever she/he is around you. This will either send you out on a wild goose chase or will land you with the mother goose herself.

There are people I know that have the courage to voice out their feelings towards that certain someone, be it through sending flowers, dedicating a song, or just telling them the plain truth. I admire these people for their guts.. I will never have the guts to even blink at that someone if i like him, let alone tell him my feelings. I think my cat, Ash, is better than me in this department. All she has to do is let out a loud meow and flipped right and left and all the male cats in the neighbourhood will come flocking around her.

I guess I am still on the crusade to find my 'seseorang'. When the time comes, when we finally meet, I hope he will be ready for my 20 questions.

Group Hug!

Today, came to the office feeling rejoiced. Spent the whole of last week thinking about the task handed to me by Ejan, to find the most perfect wedding souvenirs for her reception next month. So, had searched high and low, with Nai's creative assistance, and thought we have found 'the' gift. Presented the idea and mock model to her yesterday over our "Santai" session and she loved it. Better yet, her mom loved the idea too! Yeay!

One task down, one more to go... to find the most perfect wedding gift for the bride-to-be herself. What to get her for her wedding? The question had been running in my mind since the day she set her wedding date. The idea is not to buy a gift just because we want it to be lavishly expensive.. The gift needs to come from the heart, sincere, and needs to be something that she'll remember through out her marriage. Hmmm... though one..

We've finally came to a decision to buy her a ............. The idea strucked us when we were discussing her wedding plans last week over Dim Sum in Hartamas Square (believe it or not.. it was my first time eating dim sum after constant persuation from the two nagging ladies *winks*). I voiced it out to Nai, and as usual she had the same idea too (telephatic laa katakan..). The best part was, as if on cue, Ejan had told us yesterday what she had planned for the same thing and that gave us the missing clue as to what exactly to get her. And since the gift needs prior planning, we had to tell her about it before she, herself, set out to do it.

Told her about our plan this morning. She was reluctant to the idea at first. However, after some pujuk'ing session and more persuading done by yours truly (with pouting mouth and annoying chant, "nak jugak! nak jugak! nak jugak!".. hehehe), she finally caved in to the idea. Double yeay!..

Ejan, just want you to know that we are not giving you this to outshine your other gifts.. We just want you to be happy cause we know that it is something that you really want (well... not really laa.. let's just say it was your 2nd or 3rd option laa kan). You've made our day by saying yes to it! (It actually brought tears to my eye.. everything was a bit misty for a moment there). Just have to wait for another "santai" session or gathering to give us the big hug yeah..

Yes dear.. we know we're the "beh" (terengganu/kelantan word for best)..

The Cakes Quizes

You are adventurous, love new ideas, are a champion of underdogs and a slayer of dragons. When tempers flare up, you're quick to defend. A strong personality. You have a unique sense of humour and direction. You tend to be very loyal. The Cakes Quiz

=======================================

Is that my personality?

Hey.. just go and buy it already...!

I've been writing a post for the past 30 mins only to be deleted cause I was suprised to receive a call frm Mr. earth-digger at 2.30am.

This is the 3rd time he's calling tonight. Hmmm... what else could he want me to look up at this hr?

Mr. earth-digger's currently in the States trying to learn the ways to master his earth digging skills. Being a "smart" engineer, this friend of mine had uploaded all the software, files, etc into his poor old laptop until it showed signs of crashing. Dah nak crash baru nak ingat laa kan. Luckily, with the advise from yours truly, he bought himself a thumb drive in time. Now, his poor old laptop had crashed (kaput) with no signs of survival at all.

For the past week, he had been calling me to ask me to look up on the prices of laptops in M'sia. Apparently the laptops in the States are much cheaper (on certain models laa), plus the Christmas sale is already in full swing. As a result, I've turned into an IT helpdesk when ever he calls.

Call 1
Mr. E-D: "Ja.... tolong laa I.. Can you look up how much does a Compaq Presario model yada yada yada cost back home..."
Me: "Huh.. slow down.. let me google it k..."
Mr. E-D: "Check laa kat Yahoo.. mesti ada"
Me: "Haiya pakcik.. very tradisional laa you.. People now all use Google laa.. Anyway.... the price is yada yada yada..."
Mr. E-D: "Hey... that's expensive.. It's much cheaper here.. Ok lah.. I think I'll get it here... Haa.. lepas nieh I can continue updating my blog."

Call 3
Mr. E-D: "Ja.. can you help check out how much does a SONY Vaio model yada yada yada cost back home?"
Me: "You nieh.. Ingat I nieh info counter ke?... jap"
Mr. E-D: "Sorry laa... I can't access the net here.. And who else am I suppose to call..."
Me: (well.. you can go to the internet cafe..) "Ok... the model takde kat M'sia laa you.. but the closest one is.. yada yada yada.."
Mr. E-D: "Ok.. that's cool.. I think I should get this one.. Mesti best kan.. Plus Ja, when I get back we can hang out @ Starbucks with our laptops and update our blogs.. hahaha"
Me: "Hmmm.... just go get it 1st laa.. and we'll plan what we do later k.."

Call 6
Mr E-D: "Ja... I'm at the mall and staring at the Vaio.. It's cheaper here than the previous stores that I went to.. But I need to confirm with you how much it cost in M'sia.. please tolong I check out the price..."
Me: "Hmmmm... dah agak dah.. saw your number je I know what you want.."
Mr E-D: "Ala.. nanti I belikan your boots.. k"
Me: "Well.. the price is yada yada yada.."
Mr. E-D: "Ok laa.. I think I'm definately buying this one.. This is it.. After this I'll be using a Vaio.."
Me: "Hey.. hurry up and go buy it will you.. boring dah dengar"
Mr E-D: "Ok.. Ok.. I will..."

Call 7 (few minutes later)
Mr. E-D: "Ja...........................................! The guy just sold the last Vaio..."
Me: "Hmmmm.............. ciannya.. after all my effort.. hahaha.. "
Mr. E-D: "Tuh laa.. Maybe it's just not my luck. But whatever it is I'm going to get myself a laptop today... Tak kira laa apa brand pun"
Me: "Haiya.. does that mean I'll be getting more calls frm you later ah?"
Mr. E-D: "Tak laa.. no worries.. I tak kacau you dah.. hehehehe.. Thanks Ja... "

Sorry Mr. earth-digger.. Just can't help it. I told you I'll post this story. But the call #s and conversations are not 100% accurate. After your 3rd call, I've lost track of what I was suppose to look up and even the sites that I was suppose to refer to. Sorry for not being able to supply the info cepat. I'm not an IT helpdesk worker anyway *winks*.

Hope that you'll make up your mind soon and get the model that you really desire. After working your butts off digging the earth in the cold weather you deserve to treat yourself with a cool gadget for once. Enjoy it k.

Starbucks Everywhere

Came across this page, while I was surfing the web today.

What this guy is trying to do is damn cool... Really wish I have the time & resources($$$) to the same thing.

Excerpt frm the site:

"Boy, if I had a cup of coffee for every time I've been asked to explain my obsession fascination with Starbucks. But I'm not obsessed with Starbucks, mind you. I'm an "enthusiast", and I am specifically fascinated with the astounding expansion of Starbucks across the globe. My name is Winter, and this site is dedicated to my project, conceived in late 1997, to visit every Starbucks in the world, for no other reason that to do something completely different."

Burried in the sand

Here's my shout out to people out there who is interested to help Winter out to accomplish his project.

However, I wonder how long would it take him to cover just the North America's Starbucks store. 5 years? 10 maybe? What do you think?

Jamie Oliver a.k.a The Naked Chef

Have you ever seen his show? He's very good (and cute too...). I envy how he can make cooking a very complicated dish looks easy..

"Oh just chop the basil leaves & sprinkle it on top of the chicken and throw it in the oven for 40 mins" - in that sexy Brits accent of his.

Now I know what I want for my next birthday... His cooking books! Saw a new one in Times @ KLCC the other day...

Hmmm.. well, will just have to continue watching his shows on 8tv until i can try out his scrumptious recipes.

==========================================

Excerpt taken frm HELLO! Profiles-Jamie Oliver

He's a millionaire, was voted People magazine's sexiest chef, and is happily married to his childhood sweetheart. Life has been kind to celebrity cook Jamie Oliver.

Born on May 27, 1975, Jamie grew up above his parents' Essex pub The Cricketers, where he helped in the kitchens as a tot, and experimented with his mum's Aga cooker when she wasn't looking. It was an early training which was to prove useful when he left school at 16 to attend Westminster Catering College.

Jobs at several prestigious restaurants in England and the rest of Europe followed. And by the time Pat Llewelyn, producer of the Two Fat Ladies TV cookery show contacted him after spotting him in a documentary about the Riverside Café, he had already risen to the level of sous-chef at the prestigious London eatery.

When the tousle-haired maestro stormed onto the TV cooking scene with his programme The Naked Chef critics were initially bemused by the 21-year-old's accent and presenting style. But they were soon forced to accept that audiences loved his simple, fun food, and good natured wide-boy persona.

The Essex-boy-done-great eventually caught the eye of British premiere Tony Blair, who asked him to whip up an appropriately themed dinner for a meeting with the PM's Italian counterpart. The result was such a success the Labour leader offered Jamie the job of "food tsar" for Britain's hospitals, a role he declined.

Protective of his street cred image, The Naked Chef star has refused to endorse international food and beverage giants whose product or marketing strategy do not meet with his approval. Both Nestle and Coca-Cola – who asked him to pose naked for an ad campaign – have been rebuffed. He does, however, have a promotional contract with pro-organic supermarket Sainsburys.

My Boo

This song was stuck in my head one whole day.. so I can't help myself but to publish it here..

[Usher intro:]
There's always that one person
That will always have your heart
You'll never see it coming
Cause you're blinded from the start
Know that you're that one for me
It's clear for everyone to see
Ooh baby ooh you'll always be my boo

[Alicia intro:]
I don't know bout cha'll
But I know about us and uh
This is the only way
We know how to rock
I don't know bout cha'll
But I know about us and uh
This is the only way
We know how to rock

[Usher Verse:]
Do you remember girl
I was the one who gave you your first kiss
Cause I remember girl
I was the one who said put your lips like this
Even before all the fame and
People screaming your name
Girl I was there when you were my baby

[Chorus:][Usher:]
It started when we were young girl
You were mine my boo
Now another brother's taking over
But its still in your eyes my boo
Even though we used to argue it's alright
I know we haven't seen each other
In awhile but you will always be my boo

[Alicia:]
I was in love with you when we were younger
You were mine my boo
And I see it from time to time
I still feel like my boo
And I can see it no matter
How I try to hide my boo
Even though there's another man in my life
You will always be my boo

[Alicia Verse:]
Yes I remember boy
Cause after we kissed
I could only think about your lips
Yes I remember boy
The moment I knew you were the one
I could spend my life with
Even before all the fame
And people screaming your name
I was there and you were my baby

[Chorus:][Usher:]
It started when we were young girl
You were mine my boo
Now another brother's taking over
But its still in your eyes my boo
Even though we used to argue it's alright
I know we haven't seen each other
In awhile but you will always be my boo

[Alicia:]
I was in love with you when we were younger
You were mine my boo
And I see it from time to time
I still feel like my boo
And I can see it no matter
How I try to hide my boo
Even though there's another man in my life
You will always be my boo

[Usher:]
My oh, My oh, My oh, My oh, My Boo
[Alicia:]
My oh, My oh, My oh, My oh, My Boo

My Cat, the Alarm Clock

Ash, the cat

Ash, the cat : "Meoooooow.... meooooooow.... meooooooow!!" (human language: "hey wake up u idiot.. feed me")
Binx: "Isk.. bising laa.. go away laa.. zzzzz"

This is a normal scene every morning in my house for the past 6 years. Only until recently did I actually put it into a good use.

Every night for the past 2 weeks I have been trying to figure out ways for me to wake up early.. I've tried setting alarm clocks, only to be knocked over the bed in the morning after & broke into pieces. I even tried setting the handphone alarm : Daily alarm (6am), Morning call (6.15am).. that only work for the first few days after I set it. Subsequent days, my internal clock macam dah lali with the ringer that I won't notice the loud music anymore. So I had to changed the ringer every other day so that I won't recognise the familiar tone and wake up...

So.. one fine night, after being extremely late to work that day.. I tried a very traditional way to get me to wake up the next day.. According to org tua dulu2.. you should fluff your pillows before going to sleep and set a niat - the time you plan to wake up. Insyallah akan tersedar laaa.. So, I set out fluffing my pillows that night, while Ash was busy licking her fur at the corner of my bed.. Then, I reached for the fat cat and gave her the usual goodnight hug (I read somewhere that hugging a cat/pet is a good therapeutic way to release your stress).

Binx: "Goodnight ash... Don't forget to wake me up at 6.30am ok.. tau.. don't forget k yang..."
Ash: "Meeeoooow...." and continued her licking exercise.. strecthing far back to the hard to reach areas...

6am : The daily alarm rings.... "argghhh......." and pressed the off button.
6.15am : The morning call alarm rings...
6.20am : Was comtemplating to continue for another few more minutes
6.30am : "Meeeeeeooooooooooow...... Meeeeeeoooooooow....", her wet nose touched my cheek and she kept nudging my hand....

Oh wow... Alhamdulillah..... How cool is that? And the best part is that she won't stop bugging me until I actually rise from the bed and reached for my towels - which was great.. Sayang Ash..

I told my lil sis bout it that night and she thought it was a joke. She tried the same thing that night but it was before I told Ash to wake me up too... I guess the poor cat got confused as to enter which room at what time.. coz I found her terbongkang tido in the outside hall between the two rooms (yeah I was late again that day.. thanks to lil sis..).

Now I locked her in the room with me every night. I even bought her a bright yellow bathroom mat frm IKEA yesterday, for her to sleep on (coz she loves to sleep on my praying mat and leaves all the fur on it). And what a lovely sight to see her sleep on it...... gila cute with all her 'aksi berani' sleeping poses.

Hence, now I have no trouble waking up (insyallah) thanks to Ashy doo doo....

Ash, in one of her pose....

Oh Mama... saya mahu kawin!

It's the wedding (mating) season again... and people are rushing off to get married. Even in every blog I read I find people talking bout marriage/weddings. And in the midst of the festive season, where invitation to open houses are still in abundance, we still have to attend wedding receptions (according to a friend - once we've accepted a wedding invitation it is wajib for us to attend).

Do you think it's cheap to get married in this modern world? I would have to think 100 times before I would agree to settle down any time soon (with no savings and all). Witnessing a friend's wedding plan had given me a new perspective towards the whole thing. A lot of time and energy needs to put in the whole project (not forgetting money too..). Everything from the wedding gown to the door gift needs to be coordinated, theme color needs to be determined, make-up artist needs to be pre-booked(sometime 2 months prior to the date), hall needs to be booked, caterers' food needs to be sampled, etc.

A wedding is not just an auspicious occassion where the bride & groom are joined in wholly matrimony. It is the time when you want to look your best while hosting a great ceremony. You for sure don't want people leaving grumbling about the lousy food or bad sound system or even an unorganised ceremony, do you. Not after all the money you've spent to throw the damn thing.

Now I'm getting to my point.... How much do you think we should spend for a modern day KL wedding?

A list of expenses that I could think of comprises of:-

1. bride's make-up RM 500.00
(including hair, manicure & pedicure + accessories)

2. groom's touch-up RM 100.00
(yess... they even charge you for a touch-up)

3. souvenirs (RM 3 X 500 guests) RM 1,500.00

4. Hantaran RM 2,000 - 3,000
(this is just the gifts - for the groom)

5. Hall (minimum of RM 45 X 500 guest) RM 22,500.00
(this includes food, table, waiter, etc - e.g Dewan Merak Kayangan/Perdana Felda)

6. Photographer RM 2,000 - 5,000
(depending on quality of the photos. if nak cover shots, get ready to pay extra)

7. Bridal attire RM 3,000 - 5,000
(materials, design, shoes, accessories, etc.)

8. MC RM 1,000 - 2,000

9. Wedding planner (ala Pak Abu) RM 5,000 - 10,000
(if really need one - will take care of the pelamin and everything else)

Total cost:- A hell lot of money!!!

So now you get my point? It's not cheap I tell you..... (ala2 makcik kepoh). If anyone planning to get married any time soon, pause and calculate all the expenses 1st. If you don't have a minimum of RM30k.. you'll be heading for a disaster. You wouldn't want to start a marriage with a debt, do you?

I once heard a tale about a couple that took up a loan for their wedding reception. They ended up divorced even before they finished paying their loans off (bukan nak gossip... pengajaran...).

For people that constantly been asking me "bila you nak kawin?" Q... get off my case will you?... With that note, I shall stop here for now.

Of Friends and Foe

I've been blessed with great friends. Throughout my life, I've met wonderful people that I can call friends. But true friends are very hard to find.. and sometimes when you least expected it, they'll come and find you.

My very first friend was an imaginary girl from Japan. I can never recall that exact childhood moment, but constant stories from my dad kinda got stuck in my memory box. According to him, I would always pick up the phone and dialed random numbers and start mumbling in god-knows-what language (konon japanese laa kut). And after that I'd run to one of my parents and start rambling bout the so-called friend in Japan (how cute is that *winks*). This must have been caused by my dad's constant trip to Japan (he was a reporter back then). One day when he came back from one of his trips, I ran up to him and begged him to drive me to the airport to pick up my 'friend'. "Ayah.. jom laaa gi airport.. kawan Jaja dari Jepun dah tunggu dah tu", kicking and screaming. Hmmm.. what happened after that.. I dunno.. Sometimes when I sat back and recalled that story, I'll start laughing sengsorang.. :)

Then when I started kindergarden, I started mixing with real kids.. but still my imagination will always get the best of me.. but I shall not elaborate further in this enty.

Met up with Alia, Nadia, Lina & Aduni in primary school and became fast friends. We went every where together and even ended up in the same classes every single year. Our after school activities comprises of playing various board games @ Aduni's house (her board game collections are beyond snake & ladder and monopoly), trying out new NKOTB's dance moves + lots of oreo muching @ Nadia's, making instant ice cream @ my house, etc. I remembered that Nadia's mom will sometime bring us rollerskating in PJ (back then this was considered very cool...!). Wow... those were the days... Now everyone's all grown up and went seperate ways. Thanks to Friendsters, we've found each other again. There were plans to meet up the other day for Alia's engagement, but.... maybe next time.

Shireen was my confidant throughout high school. We live 2 doors away from each other, so you can imagine how much time we've spent in each other's company. My most unforgetable moments with her would be when we would always volunteer to bring food to any school events and start rumaging my kitchen for food... The menus that we've prepared ranges frm canapes, tuna (with sambal belacan & mayo!) sandwiches, roti jala & chicken curry, etc.. and surprisingly everyone liked our buffet spread (well.. i'm a born cook *lol*). Apart frm that, our crazy activities also involve checking out the cute guys frm school after friday prayers @ KFC.. hahaha... wow... that was fun... This girl has always been there for me through my ups and downs and even now when we only see each other like twice a year (on our b'days.. only to give each other a hug & pressie), we still know that deep down the friendship bond that was built for more than 15 yrs is still going strong.

The second part of my high school yrs was spent away from home - way back in Hulu Terengganu. And this is where I met with my current best buddies.. Nai & Ejan. I was not close to them back then though. I spent most of my time with my roommates EJ, SN & NI. Out of the 3 roomies, EJ was closest to me (maybe coz we both come frm the same town). She had been there through my growing-up stage (back then I was a late bloomer). Enjoyed the time spent with her and the rest, making jokes out of silly little things, staying up after lights-off and pulled tricks on other students, gossiping about the wardens, planning to boycott exams, went out to stay @ the local inn (while we were suppose to go back home) and rented trishaw to go to Pantai Batu Buruk for the special taste of ice-cream goreng & ikang bakar... hmmmm... heaven... However the friendship was over after this friend found her "guy" and we've gone our seperate ways. I've tried my best to stay in touch by inviting her out on gatherings, etc... but she always makes silly excuses not to join us. She even cut-off the communication (not picking up my calls, answering my SOS sms). Since then I've stopped trying and gave up all plans to patch things up with her until she called me 2 weeks back to invite me to her wedding. Being the hard-headed person that I am, I was reluctant to talk to her and was actually relieved when the call got cut off. She then sms'ed me asking for my new address (since I've shifted home without informing her). Until now I still haven't replied her sms.....and her wedding is this weekend.. (I hate the feeling.. but I just can't forget everything...)

Anyway.... let's clear the air with more happy stories... Back in my uni days Nurul & Syam are my close buddies.. They are great friends.. the ones that you'll treasure for life. During the most critical times in my life, they've been there to lend their shoulders. I think the tears I've shed with them can fill the entire lake in front of our apartment in uni. I can always rely on them to pick me up, cheer me up and even push me to study. When i met my ex, they were the 1st ones that gave an indication that he was not right for me, even though in not so many words and that I just brushed their comments off at that time.. and they were right. Thanks girls.... love you to death...

Finally, back to Nai & Ejan... my crazy, yet loving buddies... Love them! We've been hanging out since after uni, shopping, travelling, dreaming, and just talking.. Don't actually know how we got together, 3 girls (or should I say 1 girl and 2 ladies now *winks*) with totally different personalities can actually have fun, making fun of each other. The jokes that we've cracked are damn stupid but lasted a lifetime.. (like the one about.......... ok I shall not tell). I guess we must have spent alot of time together that at times we can actually read each other's mind (hahaha..). Now one has ran off to marry a mamak..ooppsss.. an engineer.. and another one following her footsteps soon (not to a mamak.. ooppsss again.. an engineer though). I am trying my best to convince myself that things will not change after this.. The two guys are becoming fast friends too. Hence, would surely pray that who ever it is that I'll end up with can blend in with them, so that we girls can still have our time together to catch-up (gossip laa apa lagi....). Sitting alone at the corner of Picolo Mondo last Sunday, while the two went to the ladies, made me think of how my life would be after Ejan's wedding. Will we still have time to go shopping like that day & feast ourselves with good food? Or will they be busy with their hubbies & babies this time next yr, while I will still be struggling to finish off my CIMA and finding my own hubby? Oh well... it's 1.30 am now.. I guess I will not think of it now.. I shall think about it tommorrow...

binx: to those people that names I have yet to mention (you know who you are)... thanks for being a part of my life. your friendship means a lot to me.....

What more could happen?

Began the day feeling happy.. Coz apparently there was no car on the road today - Yeay!. Where are all the cars? I don't know and don't wanna know.. As long as I can reach the office on time I'll be happy.

(Clock on the dash board shows 8.10 am)
The silver Vios pulled in the car park. Got out of the car & paid the attendant. He raised his eyebrow to me...

Hey, mamak nieh pun perasan ke I awal?

Since I was early, I might as well get myself some breakfast. The last thing I had was a roasted chicken Subway sandwich last night. Lapar! Got myself a nasi lemak.. yummy, with half-cooked telur mata kerbau.

As I was heading towards the office building, I saw a few stares from the people dining @ Kak Rock's (a famous but over-priced gerai outside the building). "Why are they looking at me?" Maybe it's my new kebaya. Bought the saree material from a colleague and got it sewn just in time for raya. Memang the kain very lawa laa.. Fell in love with it at first sight. So today thought I'll show it to the colleague, how it turned out.

Suddenly a lady tapped me on my shoulder, "Adik, your baju terkoyak kat belakang"
"Whoa!... "
Turned and saw the sleeve was unravel.... Dang!
"OK.. thanks kak..." and quickly covers it with my handbag..

Of all the days, off all the places, why laaa now..!

Anyway, got up to my floor and bumped into a kakak from Group HR. She was so kind to offer me her sewing kit.

So... apa lagi.. Ran in to my cube, grabbed my shawl (thank god i left it in the office), ran to the ladies & jahit laaa...

"Haih.... dah come in early ingat boleh laa show face kat everyone... last2 duk dlm ladies jahit baju koyak!"

Now is only 9.30 a.m. How do i get through lunch time? I don't know. I've planned to go to the bank to pay up my car loan.. but I guess just have to do that tomorrow.

Nasib baik I still have a cup of 'maggie in the cup' from Nai...

The Morning Dash

"Try to arrive early tomorrow ya", the last words frm Kidd (a colleague) last night.

I have trouble waking up early in the morning (arrghhh.... time to wake up ah? 5 more minutes laa..). I usually arrive to work either on time or 5-15 minutes late. Yesterday was my worst record ever.... but it was due to the bloody KL policeman, who thinks that he's doing us all a favour by obstructing the traffic! Shishs!

Imagine arriving at the office @ 9.15am when your working hr starts at 8.30am... Wow.. I was cursing the policeman all the way frm the elevator to the door of my department..

"Teet!", swiped in my i/d...
"Wah.. awal hari nieh.....", the office boy greeted.
"Damn traffic... I was in the car for almost 1 and a half hr!!!!"
"Ye ke....? Ke baru bangun?" Dang this guy... you're not helping.... sepak karang... (rubbing my chest.. sabar.. sabar...)

Luckily my cubicle was close to the door, hence my boss didn't see me slowly creeping in.. There is a god!!! *winks*

I seriously think that i need to change job. Was talking to Kidd last nite about applying for a job that would really suit my sleeping time.. The job is to service international clients and the working hrs obviously have to follow the office hrs of the country you are serving.

Best nya... Start work at 3pm and ends at 1am.. Heaven. Plus there'll be no traffic - No bloody policeman! Yeay!

Anyway... arrived on time today (5 brownie point for Binx!). So now time to crunch some numbers...
