Great Company + Good Food = Great Night Out!

Image hosted by Photobucket.com

My jaw still hurts from all the laughs we had tonight. When four crazy girls get together, without their spouses, things tend to get a wee bit carried away.

We laughed at each other's antics, call each other stupid names, bitch about other people (especially some people's SIL, MIL and FIL *lol*), take stupid photos with funny faces (plus the binx's signature 'peace' sign *winks*) and just sit back and enjoy each other's company.

It was just like the good old days. Where work was just a dream.. Where bills are just the unnecessary stress to us.. Where marriage was just a one of the rare topics during our late night chats..

However, yeah indeed things have changed. Instead of talking about the typical teenagers' woes, the topics for the night varies from problems with in-laws, sex, relationship, work, garang bosses and the likes of it. Even though the topic might have changed, but the friendship bond still remains the same.. or perhaps it might have grew stronger over the years.

To Mrs. Wacko, Happy Belated B'day again, gurl! Hope you've enjoyed the night like the rest of us did... I can say that the meal beats the one we had last year (especially with the absence of the chefs with all the kitchen utensils banging their way out-of-tune to a birthday song). Plus, the presence of our long-lost buddy, Dublin Girl actually adds up to the fun - more than ever when she provided me and Ejan with few more missing pieces to the puzzle that we thought has been completed *winks*. Yet, I still feel that you should have told the waiter that it was your b'day and we could have feast ourselves with those yummy looking dessert/ice cream. Oh well, the mud cake was yummy too - just that we were too busy taking pictures while someone polishes it off the plate :p ...

Image hosted by Photobucket.com

To Dublin Girl, it was great meeting up with you again. Thanks for making the effort to actually call us up this time around. Truly appreciate the thought. Just hope that the long distance will never break the friendship yeah. Remember, please update us on your news once in awhile. Jangan esok nak kawin, hari nieh baru nak inform us tau.. Nanti I sula you :p ...

Girls, thanks for one of the best night I've had this year. Looking forward to more girls night out in the future (if Mrs. W's FIL has not decided to ground her for good for coming back late tonight laa kan - lambat ke?)... However, maybe we should pick a different location the next time around, because I don't think I can endure another day of sore throat due to all the shouting over the loud music and noise *winks*... Plus the rack of lamb was not that great either.. hehehe...

binx: *peace*

Happy 1 year, Love!

Finally you're a year older... A year older, a year wiser...

It just seems like yesterday when I first brought you home with me. I was very doubtful at first.. Yeah, of course laa.. you being my first and all. I was not quite sure that you are the one that I was looking for. Well, to be honest, you were never in my list of potentials pun. I was actually looking for a smaller package than you, something more compact. However, you come highly recommended by everyone, especially my uncle. When he says that you are good, you must be really really good. Because it is very hard to impress this uncle of mine. Hence, I took his words for it..

When I first met you, up close and personal, I was very impressed with your stylish look. I actually did some background study on you before I finally decided to check you out. I can say that those pictures they put of you on the net don't really do you justice. And I felt a jolt when we first touched. "It was like.... magic" (I'm writing this while watching "Sleepless in Seattle" for the 1000th time)

Our first encounter left me sleepless. I kept thinking about you that night, pondering on whether there is a future for us. Even though I was suppose to be concentrating on my final exam during that time, your image kept appearing before my eyes during those long hours in the library... Angau? I guess as much laa kut..

After much pondering, I've finally decided to commit. And it was the best decision I've made so far. My family loves you, my friends loves you and most importantly I LOVE you! The trips we took through out the year was a memorable one, esp. the one to Pangkor with the girls... blissful...

Though we've encountered some glitches here and there, we've managed to pull through it, rite? I have to admit that I've almost give up on us a few times, especially when the financial situation was very tight.. However, with much patience and lots and lots of "ikat perut" situation, we survived! Well, I guess we just have to wait for this future millionaire to really become a millionaire laa kan... *winks*

So, happy 1 year, Love.. Looking forward to share more happy journeys with you in many years to come.

Slow Dance

I received this email yesterday and it made me pause and think...

This poem was written by a terminally ill young girl in a New York Hospital.

SLOW DANCE

Have you ever watched kids
On a merry-go-round?
Or listened to the rain
Slapping on the ground?
Ever followed a butterfly's erratic flight?
Or gazed at the sun into the fading night?
You better slow down.
Don't dance so fast.
Time is short.
The music won't last.

Do you run through each day
On the fly?
When you ask How are you?
Do you hear the reply?
When the day is done
Do you lie in your bed
With the next hundred chores
Running through your head?

You'd better slow down
Don't dance so fast.
Time is short.
The music won't last.

Ever told your child,
We'll do it tomorrow?
And in your haste,
Not see his sorrow?

Ever lost touch,
Let a good friendship die
Cause you never had time
To call and say,"Hi"
You'd better slow down.
Don't dance so fast.
Time is short.
The music won't last.

When you run so fast to get somewhere
You miss half the fun of getting there.
When you worry and hurry through your day,
It is like an unopened gift.... Thrown away.
Life is not a race.
Do take it slower
Hear the music
Before the song is over.

Go away...!

I used to be happy without you. My life used to be carefree before you decided appear.

Why do you like to show up unannounced? And your timing sucks, BIG time!... You love to sneak up on me when I least expected it. The day I need to look my best, you'll come knocking on the door, that is if you bother to knock at all. At times you'll just come barging in... WHY?

Why can't my life be much simpler than this? A life without you. I take one look at you and all my anger starts to boiled up. I don't want to be starring in the mirror every morning and every night and see you starring back at me.. taunting me to squeeze you out of your life...

Why can't you go and kacau someone else? Try bugging them for a change...

Look at them... They have such beautiful face.. Flawless skin... So, go kacau them laaaa... Please... I beg you...

Oh well, I guess tonight I just have to use some protection... again!!!

This use to be my playground...

Image hosted by Photobucket.com

Ah... childhood.. The time when everything else does not matter to you. What matters the most is to have fun...

The things we do when we were kids... Fun things... I was a very notty one back then... My life was filled with many 'interesting' activities. *winks*

Apart from having an imaginary friend (who lives in Japan), I tend to live in an imaginary world of my own. I do things that are unexplainable and unjustifiable. What did I do? Well........
  1. I like to talk to myself all the time. Maybe I was talking to the lil' angel and lil' devil kut.. *lol*. Plus, I like to make up stories. Ask my parents and they'll tell you all the silly stories that I've made up. Macam-macam I tell you...

  2. I used to take back all the toys frm kindergarten.. Bukan curik.. pinjam kut. One day, I actually brought back a wooden horse, a musical box and canggih tv-like toy. How did I managed to sumbat everything in my small bag also I dunno, but I did. That was when Mom & Dad realized and asked. "Cikgu suruh bawak balik... betuuuuuuul...". However, I guess they know me better and forced me to return it back the next day. Aha... but Lil' Binx brought back something else the next day... and the day after that... and the day after that...

  3. Oh yeah.. besides toys, I love to bring back those 'Peter and Jane' books.. Those were my fave.. "There is Peter. There is Jane. There is Peter and Jane". *lol* Mom ended up buying the books for me so that I'll stop bringing back the books from school.

  4. There was once where I actually shaved part of my head (almost bald), part of my eyebrow and also my forehead. What had gotten into me? I dunno... Something told me that shaving looks fun as I watched Dad shave every morning. Hence, one day, as soon as he left for work, I grabbed the shaver and started shaving my head.. "Ouwh.. that feels good..." shave.. shave.. shave.. My aunt was stunt when she found me half bald with a shaver in one hand.. I still have the picture.. and boy do I look cute.. *lol* (mind you.. I was about 3 or 4 years old aje that time).
Ah... those were the days... Thinking back, there was never a dull moment in my life back then (d'oh... what do you expect.. budak kicik..). Unfortunately, now things are very routine and dull for me (apart from the occasional outings with my friends). Wakes up in the morning, go to work, work work work, come back home and sleep. Borrriiiiiinnnnnnnnggggggggggg...........

Suddenly this song came to mind.. Dunno how it relates to this post, but......
I love this song

This used to be my playground
This used to be my childhood dream
This used to be the place i ran to
Whenever i was in need
Of a friend
Why did it have to end
And why do they always say

Don't look back
Keep your head held high
Don't ask them why
Because life is short
And before you know
You're feeling old
And your heart is breaking
Don't hold on to the past
Well that's too much to ask

(chorus)

No regrets
But i wish that you
Were here with me
Well then there's hope yet
I can see your face
In our secret place

You're not just a memory
Say goodbye to yesterday
Those are words i'll never say

This used to be my playground
This used to be our pride and joy
This used to be the place we ran to
That no one in the world could dare destroy
This use to be my playground

The Most Perfect Dessert...

Image hosted by Photobucket.com
the delicious pancake from Paddington House of Pancake

Last Saturday I found myself enjoying a plate of the most delicious dessert ever with 3 great girls. It was a welcome change to my ever so dull life.

The outing was actually our pit stop after attending our ex-housemate's wedding in Rembau, Negeri Sembilan. Plus, it was also to celebrate Syam's birthday and Nurul's success in scoring a 4.00 GPA in her Masters course!!

Congrats to Jeghing on her wedding - finally you've found your Howie D ey...

Happy Belated b'day Syam - may your years ahead be filled with love and joy and many happy occasions (hint.. hint..).

And Congrats Nurul on your brilliant success - just make sure you don't go pushing yourself too hard ok.. Need to balance it out k girl..

Meeting those girls at the wedding had brought back lots of happy memories of our innocent A-Levels days at PPP-ITM. We were all so carefree back then. Our only concern was to finish up Pn. Raenah's Financial Accounting assignment on time as to not get any scolding from the garang lecturer.

We were a tight group back then, spending most of our free time together. Those occassional trips to the TGV Bukit Raja for movies was one of the fun things during those days. Not to forget the last time I've ever set my foot in the PJ States cinema was with the girls *lol*. Nak tengok the premier of MIB (Men In Black) punya pasal, that all us of sanggup sneak out and watch it at one of the oldest cinema in town. However, I ended up dozing off during the 2nd half of the show, amidst all the loud noises and smoke-filled air. Those were the days...

The four of us had some great laughs that day, reminiscing on how innocent we were back then.

  • Jeghing with her thick round glass constantly hiding her face in the thick romance novels of hers
  • Juli in her fav. cotton baju kurung (like Orked's in Sepet) as selamba as always
  • Maliz, Irda & Ayu - the 3 SSP girls, constantly gossiping about ppl (fun girls)
  • Az and Fiza - constantly laughing at each other's antics
  • Nija - very observant girl - will notice everything and anything new.. plus the person that thought me to pay the toll using 1 sen coins *lol*
  • Hana - a very unique girl.. I shall say..
  • Kairin - the girl who spends most of the time on the handphone.. a kind-hearted soul with funny bones.. *winks*
  • Syam - the girl who like to speaks in 'pantuns' - so she forms her very own ' squad pantun' *lol*
  • Nurul - the innocent girl that will always be the last to get any dirty jokes that we cracked - if she ever gets it laa..
  • Me - hmmm.... I can't describe myself laa.. the serious one? the sweet one? the tall one?

Thanks for the wonderful company, girls. We should do the dessert outing more often...

Ok.. Ok.. Jangan laa marah.....

Ok people.. I'm crying for help here..

My sis dah mengamuk this morning about this (read it here and here). And I guess I really have to let go of the three kittens.. Errmm.. Two kut..

Anyone interested to adopt a kitten or kittens? It's not that I don't want to keep them, but I really feel that they deserve to get more attention than I can give them. Plus, there's a cat hater in the house......

Please help save my cats...

binx: uwaaaaaa......

KLMJ

What is KLMJ you may asked? It's an acronym introduced by one of my ex-housemates in uni. It stands for Kenangan Lalu Mengusik Jiwa (karat tak bunyi.. *lol*). Old memories that touches the soul..

Since my movie invitation has no takers, especially from her, I spent my friday night doing grocery shopping at Tesco. I suddenly remembered that we are out of cat food. Cian my poor cats kena makan nasi with ikan kering.

So off I went to Tesco, grabbing everything that I needed plus a few snacks. As I was paying at the counter, I saw a movie poster in front of Speedy Video. It was a talk-around-town movie that I haven't got the chance to watch yet. Emmmm... best jugak kan if can watch tonight.

Image hosted by Photobucket.com

I've finally watched Sepet last night. Yes yes I know cerita dah basi.. So what?

The movie actually brings back memories of my own "sepet" experience.

I used to go out with a chinese guy during my 1st year of uni. He was my senior back in high school. We were close in school but have lost contact after I went to MRSM. However, I bumped into him again in 98.

However, my experience was not as dramatic as Orked's and Jason's laa. It was just a typical courtship. A forced one actually.. kekeke..

Well, I don't actually fancy the guy. He was just another friend to me. However, after countless times of pushing and persuading by him, we became an item laa... I'm the type that gives in easily when being pushed.. rimasss...

Jamie a.k.a Jazzman is a musician. He plays the keyboard in a band. Hence, most of our time was spent stuck in a jamming studio, watching him practicing his gigs with his band (yawns!). It's either that or I'll end up as his driver, driving him around town to complete his errands. Fun eh.. Not!

That's why the relationship didn't even last long enuf to see the daylight. We broke up a few months after that. However, the break-up did cost me my then- so-canggih walkman that my sis bought for me from Japan. Jamie borrowed it to record the songs that he was composing at that time. Since I broke it off through the phone, I didn't get the chance to collect the walkman from him. He too made promises that he'll returned it back, but until today pun tak nampak his not-mancung-at-all batang hidung.

The last time I saw him was a few years back, in the newspaper. The was an advert of a piano performance in Pan Pacific, KL - and Jamie was the pianist. Was so tempted to go and watch it. However, life goes on and I was not really keen to revisit that particular path in my life.

OK... enough of my pathetic story...

Back to Sepet the movie.. I love Jason's last letter.. wish someone would write those beautiful words for me too... (ahhh... melt.. melt..)

Anyone wanna watch the indon movie with me?

Extra: Streamyx has gone bonkers. Now the connection at home is like Chocfudge - Now you see it.. Now you don't. It's getting on my nerves now.. Can someone do something about it??!!!!

binx: wanna go to the bisexual hair salon to get a haircut? *rotflol*

Journey to the Holy Land (Part II)

Warning: This is going to be a series of long and boring entries. Do stop at the first sign of yawn..

Maddinah Al-Munawarah

>>Masjidil Nabawi

Image hosted by Photobucket.com
Inside of Masjidil Nabawi (taken frm a potrait @ Muzium of Mekkah)

Beautiful ain't it... It is just simply captivating.

This is where I found solace for the first three days of our trip. Once you've passed the angry lady guards at the door ("Masyaallah.. sabar ya hajjah.. sabar siti rahmah.."), you'll be greeted by a very serene feeling that envelopes you throughout the time you spent in the mosque. You will feel warm and fuzzy as if you are being hugged by your loved ones.. Well, that's how I felt laa.. *winks*

Since the ladies can only visit the tomb of Rasullulah s.a.w and his two closest companion at a restricted time, you will find thousands and thousands of women pushing their way through the sea of people just to get close to the tomb of the Rasul. Here, you will witness the power of faith, the deepness of One's love for One's religion - Islam, One's God - Allah, and One's Prophet - Muhammad s.a.w. Tears strewn from One's eyes at the sight of the Prophet's tomb, at the closeness One has gotten to be near Rasullulah. One would then face the Qiblat and perform a 2 rakaat solat (with much difficulty due to the large crowd and the size of the Arab ladies) and bow down after the last salam and recite...

"O Allah, Your word is the truth, and You did say: 'And O Muhammad when they having been unjust to their ownselves, come to you to seek Allah's forgiveness, and the Rasul begs forgiveness for them, then surely they will find Allah Oft Forgiving, Merciful.' And now have I come to you O Rasul seeking forgiveness for my sins, seeking your intercession on my behlaf in the presence of Allah; and I ask You O Allah to grant me these, and to grant me forgiveness in a similar manner as You had granted to them who came to the Rasul in his lifetime"
- Duaa from Mughni, an authentic book of Hambali fiqh.

When I saw people crying, I felt compelled to cry too. However, even though I felt deeply by the thought of being close to the Rasul and begged for his safaat, I just can't shed any tear. None came at all. Even when I performed salat sunnah near the Mimbar and Raudah (the other 2 places that are mustajab to duaa and pray), and was surrounded by crying and sobbing ladies, no tears came. I somehow felt bad for awhile about it, as if I didn't connect with Allah. Nevertheless, something tells me that it will be worse if I forced myself to cry just because everybody else is crying. It will not be ikhlas rite? Only Allah know what I feel inside and I don't need to cry to show it to Him.

It was quite sad to leave Masjidil Nabawi for Mekkah. 3 days was too short a time to absorb the peacefulness of the place. Plus, no other place will be the same as this place. That's a guarantee.

>> Masjid Quba'

Image hosted by Photobucket.com

If a person has clean himself from home and goes straight to Masjid Quba' to perform salat, it is as if he has performed an Umrah.

>> Jabal Uhud and Jabal Rumah

Image hosted by Photobucket.comImage hosted by Photobucket.com

This is where the great Islamic fighters during the Uhud war were laid to rest, i.e. Saidina Hamzah. Uhud war is one of the famous war during Rasullulah's era. However, am not well versed about it to relay the story here.. hehehe...

>> Masjid Al-Kiblatin

Image hosted by Photobucket.com

Ihis is where Rasulullah s.a.w. received a message from Allah while performing salat Zuhur. Previously, Rasul s.a.w performed salat facing the Temple of Jarusalem (the Kiblat for the Jews) and was mocked by them for doing so. Hence, during one Zuhur prayer in the middle of Rejjab, While Rasullulah s.a.w. was performing the prayer, he received a message from Allah to turn and face the Holy Temple of Mekkah (the Kiblat of Islam) after the 2nd rakaat. Hence the mosque got its name, Al-Kiblatain (2 Kiblats).

>> Pasar Kurma (Date Market)

This was the highlight of the trip (for some). We were brought straight to "Toko 59", where according to our Muttawif, is the cheapest shop that sells various types of dates. Checkout the signboard - it's written in Bahasa Melayu (can't say Bahasa Malaysia because it's more towards Indonesian laguange)

Image hosted by Photobucket.com

Maddinah produces various type of dates of the highest quality amongst other city or towns in the country. Plus, it is cheaper to buy dates in Maddinah then in Mekkah. So, that's why everyone in the group had 'borong' berplastik-plastik and berkotak-kotak kurma... Excluding yours truly. I only bought the date chocolates... yummy!!

Journey to the Holy Land (Part I)

Warning: This is going to be a series of long and boring entries. Do stop at the first sign of yawn..

KL - Jeddah - Maddinah

Every journey has its difficulty and sufferings.

Rasullulah s.a.w himself said about travel:

"Travel is a portion (of the suffering) of Hell-fire". Therefore traveling means inconvenience and difficulty. So come what may, any traveler to the Holy Places will undergo some suffering en route. But bearing in mind that this journey to the Ka'abah is a journey in search of the Beloved One, one should behave on the road like a lover seeking the beloved who in turn awaits him. So whether he hears abusive language directed at himself or whether he is being sworn at or whether stones are cast on him, no matter what difficulty he encounters the haaji should go ahead to the destination undeterred by any such obstacles. And by tolerating all suffering and hardships with patience, ones reward is increased, (in cases where such hardships are not contrary in effect to the interests of our Deen and health).
- Quoted from Virtues of Haj by Shaikhul Hadith Maulana Muhammad Zakariyya Kandhelwi.

My journey began with me vomiting in 1) the airplane's toilet - full face in the bowl (twice); 2) in the air sick bag (3 times). It must have been something I ate during breakfast at home. The gastric attack was so bad that luckily I brought along my gastric pills. After all the throwing up routine.. the pain went away in a jiffy.. *poof* just like that. It was kinda weird, but I was too drained out to dwell on it at that time.

Image hosted by Photobucket.com

We arrived at the Jeddah International Airport at around 9 p.m. local time and were met with our Muttawif (a.k.a tour guide). What a relief it was to be walking up and about after sitting in the plane for more than 8 hours.. But it was not long before we continued our journey to Maddinah - by bus.

The journey to Maddinah took almost 6 hours. Hence, we had to make a stop somewhere in between the destination to perform our Solat Jama' Maghrib and Isya'. At first we planned to do so in Maddinah itself. However, after almost an hour into the journey, our Arab bus driver abruptly stopped the bus at a scary-looking gas station in the middle of nowhere. Apparently there was some technical error with the bus that we needed to stop for him to fix the problem.

Hence, all 36 of us scrambled down the bus and went in search of the nearest Mussala (surau). It was the saddest looking Mussala I've ever seen. The place for ablution (tempat ambil wudu') were very errrmm.. how shall I say... sad. Me, being a person that needs a proper and clean toilet in order for me to do my "business", felt very uncomfortable relieving myself. However, I kept my opinion to myself and just shut one eye and just do it.

After praying, we were given a late supper - a packed nasi beryani, eaten the arabic style - sitting on the old wired lazy bed style chair underneath the open sky. Sound cool eh... However, the tiredness and uncomfortable surroundings caused most of us to only "jamah" the food. Plus, we were then rushed by the bus driver after he managed to fixed the bus.

We thought that the journey will continue all the way to our destination. Suddenly, an hour later, the driver decided to stop AGAIN!!! This time he was mumbling in a very harsh Arabic language, which according to our guide means that he needed a break. He said that he didn't get a chance to rest and eat while the rest of us did. Hence, he wanted to rest for at least 30 minutes before we can go on our journey.

WOW!! What a driver. He really has a mind of his own. And he was really testing our patience. Luckily all of us were too tired to argue and just continue to sleep in the very cold bus.

We finally arrived at our destination at around 3 a.m. local time. The Safir Hotel was so close to the Masjidil Nabawi that it only took us a maximum of 5 minutes to reach the entrance of the mosque. The feeling that I get when I first caught a glimpse of the beautiful mosque cannot be put into words. It's just so magnificent, brightly lit in the early dawn. One has to see it to appreciate the beauty of it.

Assalaatu wassalaamu alaika Ya Rasullulah

Abu Hurairah r.a. reports that Rasulullah s.a.w. said: "Whenever anyone greets me at my grave, Allah returns my soul to my body so that I reply to his greeting."
- Quoted from Virtues of Haj by Shaikhul Hadith Maulana Muhammad Zakariyya Kandhelwi.

Alhamdulillah we reached our 1st destination in one piece. The hotel we stayed in was great, a 4-star hotel with excellent facilities (except for the small and narrow lifts). The room was very comfy, with a very 'empuk' bed, pillows, and the most important thing - clean toilet! The food served was not bad at all too. We get to actually have a taste of the mid-eastern delicacies while we were there, instead of the typical Indonesian food served to other tour groups. However, occasionally we longed for a spoon of sambal belacan to go along with our meal, especially after peeking through the bowl of sambal on the other tour group's buffet spread. Dah Melayu tuh Melayu jugak laa... *winks*

It was very peaceful in Madinnah. The weather was not too hot, it was bearable. Lots of historical sights that we have visited in this Holy town. However, the journey will be continued...

Back to life... Back to Reality...

Hey I'm back..........!!!

Image hosted by Photobucket.com

It was a blissful 2 weeks. The trip was great. Didn't even have a sec to think about work (syok sgt)... All we did was get up and pray, balik hotel to eat and rest, then went back to the mosque again, then balik for lunch and rest, mosque, eat, rest, mosque, eat, rest.... you get the picture laaa kan.. (there were occasional shopping rendezvous in between the breaks laa kan *winks*)

However, tomorrow, the relax mode will be switched back to the "rat race" mode. Hmmm.. I wonder how tall is the pile on my in-tray.. I bet there'll lots of letters from my "fav." correspondence (returned cheques, unsuccessful transfers, etc - BORING!!!).. Definitely the tax manager will be waiting for my uncompleted tax compts... Aunty Beast, hmmm, I hope Abg Zorro had finished the monthly Group Cashflow on my behalf.. if not balik lambat lagi laa esok jawabnya..

Updates on the trip later k... Still need to get more rest now..

ps: While I was away, I received a huge news frm Jigga.. He's gonna be a daddy!! (he sure didn't waste anytime, ey *lol*). Congrats dude!! Make sure you take care of the mummy yeah.. Oh yeah.. make sure you've cleared your ACCA before Redondo Jr. arrives.. *winks*

Of an end and a beginning... (Part II)

I'll be leaving for my Umrah in a few hours time.

I've finally manage to squeeze in some time to pack this evening, amidst all the chaotic activities in the entire household. Insyallah I have everything I need in that one small bag *pats own back for the self-efficient packing - lol*

I'll be away for 14 days. Please pray for me - so that I can perform the Umrah successfully.

For those that had kirim their doa and salam to Rasulullah.. Insyallah I'll try my best to fulfill it.

Assalamualaikum all...

Of an end and a beginning... (Part I)

Finally....

After few weeks of working my a** off, I've managed to finished up all my assigned task yesterday (Saturday). Yeah, I had to come in the office again - my 5th Saturday since I've been transferred.

The day begun with me arriving 30 minutes early at the local BCB. I was quite shocked to see that there were few people sitting around in the bank. Hence, I tried to push open the door only to find it to be locked. All of them looked so obedient that it looked so funny. I was trying to figure out what they were doing sitting in that manner, when 10 minutes before 9.30 am all of them started to get up and headed towards their assigned counters.. Pelik sungguh.. Macam tuh ek staff bank every morning? One look at them, you will think that they were a hostage in a bank robbery scene in the movies.. *lol*

Next stop was the Maxis Service Center. Needed to activate the International Roaming service. Was in que for about 10 mins just to get the number, and when it was my turn I was sent back home to get a copy of my pasport.. Kenapa laa tak cakap awal2.. I wonder why they needed the pasport.. I/C kan dah cukup.. Oh well, luckily my house was just minutes away. When I got back, the que was even longer than before. I had to wait for almost 15 people to be served before it was my turn. And the time served per customer ranges from a minimum of 10 mins to 30 mins. Seksanya laa.. I kept looking my at watch, thinking of the work that I still have to finish up at the office.. Sempat ke siap nieh? Ke I still have to come in on Sunday?

My last stop before heading towards the office was the drive-thru Dunkin' Donuts.. I seriously didn't know that it was a drive thru outlet. If I've known bout it.. slalu laaa can tapau breakfast.. So I tapau my meal for the day. I knew that I'll be spending my full afternoon in the office, hence kena laa ada food supply.. And the strawberry fill donuts was soooo yummy I tell youuuu.. (sehingga menjilat jari)

yummy donuts

So... I've finished my work!!!!!!

Now I can go for my Umrah trip in peace. Am really tired and drained out now.. However, I really hope that I can get a good rest on the flight to Jeddah and be all fit and healthy for the Umrah.

An Ustaz came over last night to give us an overview of what to expect during our trip. Since, this will be my 2nd time visiting the holly land, the overview acts like a refresher course for me. I still have lots to review before the trip. Am planning to do some reading on the plane too.. Baca pun nak.. Tido pun nak... How?
