My shoe.......!!!

Remember the scene from The Wedding Planner, where Jennifer Lopez screamed...

"Oh.. My Gucci shoe....!!"

Her Gucci shoe was stuck in a hole in the middle of the road and she was trying to pry it out without even considering the fact that there was an on-coming car.... Then Matthew McConaughey came to her rescue...?

Remember?

The exact same thing happened to me during lunch time, along Jalan Sultan Ismail, in front of the Kompleks Antarabangsa building. Oh.. minus the fact that I was not in the middle of the road and there was no Matthew McConaughey to rescue me.

But the point was.. my shoe was stuck in a hole.. or to be exact, my heels was stuck in a hole..!!

"My Vincci shoe.. !!!" (not so kaya yet to buy a Gucci shoe laa)

Image hosted by Photobucket.com

There I was, walking in a high-speed mode, rushing to make it back to the office on time.. and suddenly,

"crack....."

and one of my feet was bare.... Turned back and saw that my fav brown mules was stuck in a hole!!!..

Tried to pry it out but to no avail.. The tiny heel was clenched between the cement and if I were to put force on it, the whole heel will crack/patah or whatever.. Hence, I spent the next 5 minutes to try to loosen the heel slowly as to not cause anymore damage to the shoe..

The best part was, those people that passed by can just stare and laugh at my utter silliness. None of them bothered to offer some help.. Poor binx had to squat down and tarik her own shoe.. Oh well, never believe what you see in the movies..

Luckily there was no damage done to my mules.. If not I would have to limp back to the office on one foot.

Good Morning, Sunshine.......!!!

Just got back from an aerobic session @ Kiara Park.. Wow I didn't know that so many people would wanna get up early on a sunday morning to sweat.. The crowd turnout was great.. And it actually makes the whole session more exciting.

People from different range of age, male and female were all stepping in tune with the upbeat song, clapping, and smiling... It really makes me feel good to be living in such a harmonious environment.

Earlier, before the aerobic session, I went for a walk on the jogging trail. I was so fortunate to be walking with a set of twin boys, around 5 years of age, that really made me smile all the way round the park. They were following their dad, who were walking at a very slow pace behind us. These two kids were very energetic that they can even run faster than me (malu nyaaa...). The thing that caught my attention is how close they were...

Boy 1: (after running ahead 50m from the brother) Nigel, hurry up..
Boy 2: I'm tired, Nicholas... hold my hand (reaching out his hand to the brother)
Boy 1: (ran back to the brother and reached for his hand) ok... now let's run..
Boy 2: Do we have to...? (panting)
Boy 1: We must.. It is the "Amazing Race" teng teng teng...
Boy 2: Ok.. if you insist.. but don't let go of my hand yeah...
Boy 1: of course I won't.. Dun worry Nigel..

Isn't that sweet. I mean, you'll never see grown up males holding each other's hands kan... Small kids are so innocent and pure. They'll encourage each other, and even stop and retrack their steps to help the other out. When is the last time you see a grown up male do that? They only thing they do is crack jokes at the expense of the weaker guy.. Am I right?

====================

Finally met the "Miracle Baby" yesterday.

My cousin, Long, came over yesterday. She had given birth to a premature baby boy before raya last year (Nov'04). Ahmad Shakir bin Suhaimi was born 3 months earlier than scheduled. Doctors were saying that he only had a slim chance to survive, giving the fact that all his internal organs are not fully developed.

Long is a very tough woman. She had found out that she had breast cancer at the early age of 18. Hence, she had undergone numerous treatments for her cancer without giving up. Even though she's a bit stubborn to follow all the doctor's instructions, she's lucky to have a very understanding and patient boyfriend (now husband) to support and encourage her throughout the painful ordeal.

Image hosted by Photobucket.com

Hence, the baby actually took after his mother. He's a fighter in the sense that he didn't give in to all the complications that he had faced during his 1st 3 months into the world. Even the doctors were surprised to see the baby bounced back to life frm a 36 hrs comma, when they have instructed my cousin to ask everyone to start reciting the yassin for the baby. A miracle wonder he is...

Thus, after 5 months going to and fro to the hospital in Kota Bahru, the mother and son finally came back to KL. And yesterday was the 1st time I set my eyes on Ahmad Syakir... and he's very very adorable.. Seeing him giggling makes all the pain and suffering that Long had endured during the pregnancy all worthwhile..

====================

After an unproductive day yesterday, I am now all set to tackle some unfinished business. There's the tax form to fill up, zakat pendapatan to calculate, and also own expense accounts to refine.. On top of that, I need to get the car washed, clean up the messy room and also do some bill filing...

Of expenses and balances...

For the past two days, I've been doing alot of calculating (alot alot i tell you.....). No.. not trying to balanced out the accounts for work. It was for my OWN personal account.

I may be an accounting gradute (with an honours degree, mind you), and manage the corporate accounts on a daily basis, but when it comes to my personal finances, I am a total dummy... Up to the extent that my monthly expenses went haywire.. No budget, no planning, no game plan, no nuthing.

What I earn, I spend.

Bad? Totally...

Ignorant.. Yeah.. absolutely...

Most people my age have already charted out their financial path. They have their cash reserves as a safety blanket for rainy days. They can even start buying their 1st house now. Marriage fund jangan cakap laa kan, memang dah set aside from the start. However, what do I have? Some cash stashed away in the ASB that won't even cover my feet if it were a blanket (hehehe...), a savings/current account which net worth will always be negative at the end of the month and a car that I regretted buying.

Balancing the accounts was never easy. Especially when you work in the heart of KL where everything, and I mean EVERYTHING is not cheap.

Parking RM5.00 - 7.00 per day
Lunch RM 3.00 - 5.00 minimum
Tol RM 1.00 - 3.00 minimum

That is just the daily expenses. To top up the list, there would be the car loan, study loan, monthly groceries, phone bills, laundy (those jackets cannot hand wash maa...), petrol, other misc. expenditures.

Speaking of Misc. expenditures... What can be justified as a misc. expenses? Can a Rhumba be listed under the category? A wise friend told me that there should never be a misc. expenditure.. everything must be listed out under a category.. Hence, Rhumba will fall under what category? Drinks? Hmmm...

Anyway, since I've been in the red zone last month, with the advise from a dear friend, I've started to list out all my expenses for the month last night. The strategy was to look for areas where it can be cut down, esp. the misc. expenses laa kan. After going through all the receipts I had kept (yesss, there's a purpose why most girl keep their receipts in their purse, and it's not to make bonefire :p ), I found out that I've been spending more than I earn for a month.

Bad? Totally....

After rationalising all the expenses, I've managed to cut down some cost from some areas (e.g. misc. exp) to cover other important area (e.g savings). Reduce RM30 from the phone cost, cut RM70 worth of groceries, reduce the amount spent on gifts, etc... You get what I'm trying to say kan..

"You must make sure you pay YOURSELF every month"
"At least 10% of your salary goes into your savings"

Those lines had been repeated to me more than once, and it is now engraved in my brain. Yes, I did try to save when I first started working. However, after 2 months, I resorted to treating myself to new work clothes, new shoes for work, bags to match the shoes (yeah rite, I never match my bags and shoes.. never..). Plus, I discovered RHUMBA!!!

Hence, how do One actually balance out One's expenditures? After calculating everything last night, I found out that I can only spend a very limited amount per day to survive till August, after which I can start paying myself every month. Even that will not bring me close to a break even point. I still have to find a way to squeeze in other one-off expenses that for sure will come my way.

Tough? Of course...

Challenging? H*ll yeah...

Serves me right? Definately...

I got my wake up call last night and it definately was an expensive one... Just hope that I can resist all the temptations and finally emerge from the red zone bracket soon...

p/s: The addiction for Rhumba had hit its 5,000th mark yesterday. Am shocked that the number actually grew that fast. Just wanted to thank each and everyone of you that have been visiting to take a glimpse at my ever-so-mengarut postings. For those that had dropped their comments, my deepest gratitude to you guys.. Your comments actually brighten up my days. To those silent readers, your visit never go unnoticed... *hugs & kisses*

Binx's Musicology....

Since CK too decided to pass me the stick.. I guess I have to start on the quiz.. Baine had passed on the curse to me since Monday.. Hence, since am now relaxing on my bed... here goes... a double dosage of the quiz..

1. What is the total amount of music files on your computer?

1.81Gbs worth of mp3s..
516 songs...

I don't think that's alot compared to Baine's >10 Gbs or iJun's 17 Gbs

However, managing 500 over of songs pun dah susah.. I dunno laa how ppl with iPod can manage >1000 songs...

Being the organised freak that I am, I've managed to categorised the mp3 according to its genres... e.g. R&B, Accoustic, Ballad, Alternative, Malay (a category on its own), Instrumental, etc... you get what I mean laa kan.. *winks*

Basically my collection ranges from golden oldies songs [like the ones played on Pok Ku's Radio Pencen (to listen, copy the link to your Windows Media Player) ] to the latest top hits.

2. The CD you last bought?

Usher's Confession (Limited Edition)
Dayang Nurfaizah's Dayang Sayang Kamu

Free CD
Bhumiband (frm Mr. Etcetera)

3. What was the last song you listened to before reading this message?

Dave Matthews Band - Where Are You Going?

It's in my current playlist... All accoustics songs this weekend...

4. Write down five songs that you often listen to or that means a lot to you.

This is tough... Only 5 ah? Can't be 10 or 15? Eh.. since 2 ppl passed this thing to me.. so.. the list of fav songs doubled laa kan..? *lol*

U2's With or Without You
My history with the song goes way back... Will always remind me of a special someone every time I listen to it.
"I can't live... With or without you....."

Stone Temple Pilot's Plush (accoustic version - of course)
The tune's really superb.. 1st heard it when I was in form 2 and love it till now.. However, Interstate Love Song is equally good.. Been listening to it everyday after being re-introduced to it by Baine..

Foo Fighter's Walking After You (accoustic version)
Lovely lovely tune....
"If you walk out on me.. I'm walking after you...."

Innuendo's Until The End of Time
Something about the song & its lyric... Just couldn't get enough of it..

Peter Pan's Mungkin Nanti
Ahh.... What's with Indonesian bands eh.. Their songs suma best-best... This tune nieh mcm a bit berhantu laa.. Just can't stop listening to it...

Broery Marantika & Dewi Yuli's Jgn Ada Dusta Diantara Kita
Such meaningful song with beautiful lyric... Love all his songs actually..

Dayang Nurfaizah's Biar Akhirnya Di Sini
A vey beautiful song created by non other than Mr. Afdlin Shauki.. a great start as a composer...

Usher & Alicia's My Boo
Love the song... Love the man.. Love the girl...
Superb duet by the great singers...
"my oh... my oh.. my boo....."

Ryan Cabrera's True
The combination of guitar tune plus the simple yet meaningful lyric just makes me swoon whenever I listen to it...

Lokee's Feel Good (unplugged)
A simple yet nice tune by a local band. Love it even after the 1st time listening to it.. It's a pick-me-up tune that I listen to every morning..
"Tell me why.... is the sky so blue today..."
"Tell me why... oh why.. it hasn't been raining today"
My compliments to the band *clap* *clap*

I told you I can list down more than 5 songs.. *winks*.. there's more.. but I guess I should just stop at 10.. *lol*

5. Who are you going to pass this stick to (3 persons) and why?

It'll be 6 persons laa kan in my case... *lol*

The stick shall be passed on to...

Kidd - This guy loves music.. So I bet he'll enjoy answering the questions

Kak Nor - My sis... Wonder what kinda tunes she listens to now...

BulletWithButterflyWings (BWBW) - I know that this guy has an exceptional taste in music.. plus it'll be a good reason for him to update his blog

Lion3ss - Love reading her blog.. Hence, would really like to check out her tune selections..

Homer - Since Mrs. Homer has taken the quiz.. now it's her other half's turn to do it..

King Izzat - because he wants me to pass him the stick *lol*

If I'm not mistaken there's some sort of curse attached to the stick.. Blaahh... ignore it laa.. *lol*

binx: simply loves music..

Drained out weekend

Didn't get to catch Sepet last Friday caused One was requested to go to the printing company to review to Company's annual report draft. Since the request came from Aunty Beast, One would never think twice to even say no. Hence, One had go dash to PJ at 5.30 pm in the midst of the Friday traffic. Luckily One knew the shortcut and managed to arrived in less than 30 mins.

"Reviewing" the annual report turns out to be a proof reading task. And it's not a simple and quick task either when it involves comparing the English report with the BM report. One's eyes couldn't make out the words properly by the end of the 2nd hour. It was a very looooong day for One who finally arrived home at 12 am..!!

After saying a quick hello to the regulars in Pok Ku's Chatroom, One had to excuse Oneself to get some shut eye...

Saturday was another looooong day for One, for One had to finish off some pending work for One's Tax Manager (old boss). Hence, by 10 am One was already settling oneself in the empty office. One was the only idiot working that day. And One was quite surprised that One can actually stayed on till 5pm (just like a typical working day). Luckily One's very thoughtful colleague was kind enough to buy One McD for lunch.. if not One would have settled for the cheese crackers One had stashed in One's drawer.

Even though One had spent hours in the office, One's list of work to do did not end there. Hence, One continued with the work at home on a Saturday night (yes... One leads a very boring life). By 1 am, One gave in to the tired eyes and aching back and zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz..............

Planned to start early today but gave up because One's body begged for the extra hours of sleep. Finally wakes up at 11 am and left the house by 12 pm in search for wedding present for Jigga dude. His reception was at 1 pm and since One had a hectic week, One didn't have the chance to shop for his present.

One dashed to Ikano and walked straight into Aussino... It was heaven...... One suddenly felt rejuvenated surrounded by all the lovely, colorful bedding items. One was distracted by the low prices and was tempted to get one for oneself. An hour after that, One came out of Aussino with two bags, one was all wrapped for Jigga and another for oneself (hugs oneself...)

On the way to his house, One had a feeling that One had bought the wrong size of bedsheet for the newly weds.. and was One right about it.. Hence, One's effort to actually turn up to the reception bearing a gift was washed down the drain. Sorry dude.. have to take a rain cheque on the gift k..

Since it was a very blur day for One, One decided to take a short nap before going to Ikano to exchange the bedsheet. One's short nap turned into 3 hours of shuteye. But it was a very refreshing nap indeed.

Went back to Ikano at 8 pm and finally settled the gift problem. On the way to the car, One suddenly had the cravings for ice cream. Hence, One rewarded oneself with a double scoop "Chocolate Ecstasy", which was sooooooooooooooooo heavenly.........

That's one delicious way to end One's tiring weekend. One hope that the week ahead will be less hectic..

Binx: zzzzzzzzzzz...........

"You shouldn't have......"

"It's 8.05 am and you're tuning in to the Hitz.fm Morning Crew... Now, it's time for the Continuing Adventure of Chi SI"

"Chi S I.... Chi Sin'.. Chi Sin'... "

These guys never fail to crack me up every morning... I dunno how I'll face the massive traffic without them to make me forget all about the cars around me.

Hence, even though I was stuck in the traffic, it didn't deter my mood one bit. Walked into the department smiling and greeted everyone in sight.

Mr. I: Good morning binx... You look cheerful this morning...
Binx: Good morning... yeah.. (smiling)

I was about to put down my bag and sit down when the phone rang....

Binx:
Hello, good morning (in a cheerful tone)
Mr. I: Wah.. you sound so happy today..
Binx: Mmmmm..... what's up?
Mr. I: Well, just wanted to let you know there's something underneath your table...
Binx: Something under my table? Eh, just because Aunty Beast is jealous coz you get me the morning paper every single morning doesn't mean that you have to hide it under the table so that she wouldn't notice it...
Mr. I: Errrmmm... well, just check under your table k..
Binx: Oooook... thank you sooo much....

And what was under my table?

Image hosted by Photobucket.com

No, it was not the morning paper... In fact there was no paper for me this morning..

A teddy..............!!!

Picked up the phone....

Mr. I: Hello...
Binx: Hey, thanks.. errmmm... but today's not my birthday.. So what's the occasion?
Mr. I: Well, do I need a reason to give you a gift...
Binx: Huh?
Mr. I: I know that you've been under a lot of stress lately.. Bad week and all... So I thought that a teddy might cheer you up..
Binx: Auww... that's so sweet of you.. Thanks..

Hmmmm... Oh well... I'm not gonna think about it.. Just not gonna go there...

Am just gonna enjoy my new teddy........ *hugssss*

Coffee breaks...

Ever since I have started working, balancing my life has been quite a chore. Juggling between family, friends, work and study can be a challenge when time is never on your side. Some how you wish that there was more than 24 hours in a day so as you can finally finish up everything for the day.

During my first few months into the job, things were pretty light, starting work at 8.30 am and going back at 5 pm religiously. I had ample time for my family and friends. Plus, I still have some "alone" time allocated for myself, time to unwind and just sort things out.

However, since I have started my CIMA exam, even my day-to-day life has become a challenge. Work load has accumulated, with higher responsibilities attached to it. Datelines had become thighter with bosses expecting everything to be completed almost immediately. Weekday classes was also a burden, due to the fact that the tired body and the unfocused mind just could not take the extra 3 hours of lecture when all was needed was rest.

If you think that weekend is 2 days of relaxation, my weekends were 2 days of torture. The fact that I have lectures every other day during weekdays does not mean that my weekends will be free. Especially when your lecturer just "loves" to teach. He will then carry out lectures every single weekend from 10 am to 6 pm with only one hour of break in between. When I am not attending lectures, my weekend will be spent in the library trying to digest what the lecturer was trying to say throughout the 8 hours lecture.

Hence, it can be said that my priorities then was my work & studies. However, for the past few months I've been trying to make an effort to come back home early to catch up with friends and family. I try to have a chat with Mum on a daily basis just to make sure that the mother-daughter bonding still goes on strong. To me, she's all I have left, besides my two sisters, thus I should put them as my top priority.

Why am I babling about priorities? Received this article in my inbox yesterday and it had touched me deeply..

Professor & a Jar
==============

A Professor stood before his philosophy class and had some items in front of him. When the class began, wordlessly, he picked up a very large and empty mayonnaise jar and proceeded to fill it with golf balls. He then asked the students if the jar was full. They agreed that it was.

So the Professor then picked up a box of pebbles and poured them into the jar. He shook the jar lightly. The pebbles rolled into the open areas between the golf balls. He then asked the students again if the jar was full. They agreed it was.

The Professor next picked up a box of sand and poured it into the jar. Of course, the sand filled up everything else. He asked once more if the jar was full. The students responded with an unanimous "yes."

The Professor then produced two cups of coffee from under the table and poured the entire contents into the jar, effectively filling the space between the grains of sand.

"Now," said the professor, as the laughter subsided, "I want you to recognize that this jar represents your life. The golf balls are the important things--your family, your children, your health, your friends, and your favorite passions - things that if everything else was lost and only they remained, your life would still be full.

The pebbles are the other things that matter like your job, your house, and your car. The sand is everything else -the small stuff.

"If you put the sand into the jar first," he continued, "there is no room for the pebbles or the golf balls. The same goes for life. If you spend all your time and energy on the small stuff, you will never have room for the things that are important to you. Pay attention to the things that are critical to your happiness. Play with your children. Take time to get medical checkups. Take your partner out to dinner. Play another 18.

There will always be time to clean the house and fix the disposal. "Take care of the golf balls first, the things that really matter. Set your priorities. The rest is just sand."

One of the students raised her hand and inquired what the coffee represented. The Professor smiled. "I'm glad you asked. It just goes to show you that no matter how full your life may seem, there's always room for a couple of cups of coffee with a friend."

Binx: Starbucks anyone?

"I had been duped...!"

My Abg Toya didn't do so well during yesterday's race. However, was glad that is was a Renault's win and not Ferrari's *hahahaha*.

Was hit with a dejavoo thought when Fisichella crossed the finish line as the race champion yesterday. Exactly one year ago, while I was sitting in the Business Strategy class, I received an sms from my "darling" friend...

Jigga: "Dude.. how's class? I bet you must be wondering who won the Australian GP kan..."
Binx: "Of course laa... so.. apa lagi? updates.. updates..."
Jigga: "You would not believe this.. but G. Fisichella won!!! Your Abg. Toya was out after the 1st few laps. Plus there were few more retirements from the top players"
Binx: "What................??!!! Seriousssssss.... ?"
Jigga: "Yups... sorry to dissapoint you dude... Anyway, have fun in class"
Binx: "Errrmmm.. yeah ok"

Came home that day, and...

Lil' Sis: "So.. you know who won?"
Binx: "Yeah.. it sucks...."
Lil' Sis: "Why laaa?"
Binx: "Fisichella won the race kan?"
Lil' Sis: "Hahahahahhahaha.... where did you get that news from laa sis? Hahahahahha..."
Binx: "Huh... bukan ke? Habih tuh sapa menang?"
Binx: "@#$@%!^@&*#!@.... I"m gonna get you Jigga dude... eeiii... buduh nyaaaaaa"

Gave him a good bashing after that and since then he has been a true f1 reporter to dear old me.. The joke was really funny to him that until today he would break into mean laughs whenever he recalls the moment of my utter shockness.

The dude's getting married this Thursday to his true love *winks*. I wish him all the best in embarking on his new journey. I guess there'll be less jokes and wise-cracks, on my expense, from him after this. However Dude, don't forget to keep in touch ya... Snorkeling snorkeling jugak.. friend you yg would do anything for you nieh jangan lupa k *winks*...

Hidden Treasure

Did my routine weekly spring cleaning last night. While I was trying to clear out one corner of my room, I felt tempted to unzip the big red bag, where we have stashed all our unused old clothes before we moved into the current house.

Opened the zipper and beneath some of the old baju kurung was a piece of old memory......

My old red kimono... Dad bought it during one of his trips to Japan, when he was still a reporter.

Try guessing how old is the kimono. Nope, not 5 years old. And nope, not 10 years old. It's almost 23 years old.. No kidding... Kenapa? Tak percaya kaa?

However, its material and color still looks as good as new.. Good eh? Maybe will keep it for my future daughter(s) *winks* (binx wraps the outfit in the clear dry-clean plastic and hangs it in the wardrobe)

Hmmm.... been doing the translation for the Group's annual report. My goodness, I didn't expect it to be this hard. I mean, I can say that my B.Melayu is ok laaa.. takde laa terror sgt... BUT I was having problem in translating those business/financial jargons..

When I first saw the term "Surplus on member's voluntary liquidation of Subsidiaries".. I freaked out.... aaarrrrggghhh... What have I gotten myself into...?

Started to panicked. Called the Group Admin dept., where there's a small library for the staffs, to ask for business (english-malay) dictionary.. But all they have is the Fajar Bakti's English-Malay Dictionary.. Haiyaaa... hampeh btul.. Tuh dictionary people use during primary or secondary school.. Tak corporate langsung. However, I still went up to get it.. Who knows kan.. maybe berguna laa jugak.

Got back to my place, with a renewed feeling of enthusiasm. Try looking up "Liquidation".. ziltch.. tarak... arrggghhh... penat.. penat.. But it didn't deter my spirit.

Went next door to the Group HR dept. and borrowed a thicker dictionary. This one nampak laa convincing sikit. The Dewan Bahasa's English-Malay Kamus Dewan. Still tak menolong jugak hamba yang lemah ini... Oh tidak... kenapa Kau uji ku sebegini rupa....?

Finally, after realising that I was in agony, the accountant suggested that I give the CEO's secretary a call to ask for a special jargon/technical English-Malay Dictionary. Haiya.. now baru nak cakap laa kan... Hence, for the 1st time I went up to the highest floor in the building, in search for the much needed "bible"..

Thus, now, with the "bible" in front of me... people can throw at me any business/financial jargons and I can translate it to a Malay word in a jiffy...

Hmmm... wanna give it a try? *winks*

Family Affair

Received an sms frm Ayah at 7 a.m. saying that an uncle (his BIL) had just passed away after subuh.

Innalillah.... May Allah bless his soul.

I can't take the day off since it was my first day reporting to Aunty Beast. Hence, promised Ayah that I'll rush off to Seremban directly after work.

I felt really really bad for not being able to be with the family. After patching things up with Ayah, I was hoping to do the same with the rest of the jawa clan. However, this is the set of family that I haven't seen since 1998. Anticipating that the situation will be kinda weird, I tried to persuade the only sibling that I have left at home to come along (plus it was also a request from Ayah to ask her to come). Unfortunately, the occasion doesn't seem very important to her that she would rather stay home than lend a shoulder to a grieving aunt and sons.

Was emotionally unstable the whole day. And the best part was that it was not due to the fact that I am now officially reporting to Aunty Beast. Actually, that part of my day was ok. She hardly spoke a single word to me. My agony was caused by the fact that someone would be so cold hearted as to ignore a request to attend to family gathering and plus had the heart to make plans to go see a movie. Being the emotional me, I tried very hard to control my anger that I broke into tears. If family sendiri pun tanak pegi... tak tau laa macam mana nak cakap lagi....

Tried to control my emotions by concentrating on my newly assigned task. However, my mind just couldn't focus. I knew that I could not drive down to Seremban alone in that state of mind. Tried to get Mrs. Wacko to teman me, since her hubby is not around.. Unfortunately, her FIL thought that it would be very dangerous for 2 girls to be driving around at night...

HELLO.....!!! Uncle, I've driven back to Kelantan through the Gua Musang road at 2 a.m. before... I am no wreckless driver laaa....!!

Anyway, I ended up cruising alone on the KL-Seremban Highway at 5.30 p.m. It was actually a welcome treat, to be driving alone, fast (120-140 kmph), with the radio on full blast.

Made a pit stop at the Seremban R&R to re-fuel the tank.

"Hai kak.. Jagung manis kak? Makan laa jagung manis kak... baru muka tuh manis sikit..."

OH WOW!!!!!!!!

I felt as if I've been slapped right smacked in the face.............. How can I be all smiling sweetly, when I've just cried my eyes out the whole entire journey? Errrkkk... anyway, got myself THE "soul-food" (snickers bars) and a can of 100 PLUS POWER to wash down the sorrows.

The dreaded encounter with the long-lost family went very well, surprisingly. Everyone was still the same, except for the kids. My god, they have grown into men now... I can hardly recognise them all.. Nieh if berselisih tepi jalan kat KL, mmg tobat tak kenal. One cousin, who used to be so short and well-rounded, now loomed over me like the Ghostbuster's White Marshmallow man. Goodness.... how time flies.

It was a good 2 hours spent, trying to rekindle the old family ties that had broken due to two hearts that have lost their love. I've made an effort to get everyone's number, just in case there'll be any need to visit them to pass a certain "invitation" in the future *winks*.

We don't need, don't need, no haters
Just try to love one another
We just want y'all have a good time
No more drama in your life
Work real hard to make a dime
If you got beef, your problem, not mine
Leave all that BS outside
We're gonna celebrate all night
Let's have fun, tonight, no fights
