Abg Toya is back....!

After a few days of silence, finally Binx is back.

What has happened since I've last posted the entry?

So far, everyone else have got to know about my transfer and offered their condolences (arrghhh....) and words of advice. I've also went to seek advice from the accountant who works directly under Aunty Beast, and made him promise to watch my back and help me to learn the ropes ASAP. Plus, after reading Mr. Buaya 69's and The Hustler's posts on a similar topic, I felt much better about the whole transfer thingy...

Have been busy all week trying to clear up all my pending work to be handed over. So far, things are still pending. Brought back some of it to be finished over the weekend but I haven't got around to it yet. Will for sure be in a panic mode by 10pm tonight.

Found out from a fellow colleague that I may have to sit for all 3 papers that I have left for my CIMA exam at one go this coming May. Arrrrrrgggggghhhhh.........!!!! Why lar? Why? Why now? Since CIMA had switched to a totally new syllabus this year, it had decided that even though students that have sat for the 3 papers in one go previously under the old syllabus but failed all 3 had to sit for another round this coming sitting.. That's not fair. The original condition was that you only have to sit for all 3 at one go ONCE, and subsequently you can choose to sit for any papers you wish per sitting. To top it up,the syllabus for one of the paper (the one that I originally planned to sit for in the Novemeber exam) has been changed and in order to pass, I need to attend class. However, it's to late to enroll for it now (since I've just found out about the f*****g news).. Sabar Binx.. Sabar...

Finally got around to push myself to study yesterday. Went to the National Library (yeah.. I'm a nerd.. so what?) yesterday to revise. In order to study, I need a proper table and chairs in order to get me going. I can never study at home, because the mere sight of the bed will entice me to sleep rather than study. Hence, I've been going to the library ever since my uni days. Trust me it really helps. Plus, I get to do my fav activity while I'm there, cuci mata *winks*. Hey, you never know who lepak in the library ok... However, the crowd in the National Library is a wee bit off for me larr... Unless it was near the time for professional examinations (e.g ACCA, CIMA, ICSA, MBA, ect), then the yummy people starts to hang out there. hehehehehe....

Great news... F1 is back!!!! Can't wait for the opening race next week. It will be an interesting season this year due to the reshuffling of teams and drivers. Will miss seeing Montoya (ahhhh.... swoon....) in the Williams BMW car since he'll be racing for McLaren this season. Hopefully McLaren has fixed all the technical errors that had bugged them last season and provides Abg Toya with a superb car to make sure Schumie doesn't make it to the podium as many times as he did last year. Things to look out for: Abg Toya's, Raikkonen a.k.a The Iceman's & Button's pursuit to beat Schumie. Will Barichello still be shadowed by Schumie's glam? Will there be any more battle between Abg Toya and Schumie? Well, don't miss the raceday next Sunday...

Am trying to get tickets to the Sepang GP.. Tried to ask Aunty Yah to ask one of her many flings to hook me up with grandstand tickets only to find out that they are not giving away that many tickets this year. Plus, I realised that the promotions for this year's event aren't as big and as hu-ha as last year's. Hmmmm.... I guess will have to see it at home laa kut. Lil' Sis..... remember our promise to watch it live this year? You kat sana.. so how? *sob sob*

Binx: Go Williams... Go Abg Toya...

Think Positive Thoughts

Those were my parting words to an old friend last night. It seems to be the right words to say to her at that moment, since she was the type that likes to dwell on her bad past. However, I find it hard to do the same, trying to think positive thoughts, when thinking about the near future that lies in front of me.

Received a rather shocking news at work yesterday. I was to be transferred to another part of the department by early next month. Uncle Dan had instructed the transfer. And, since he is the BIG man, whatever he says goes.

It's not that I don't want to be transferred to a new place, doing and learning new things and exploring the other many aspects of the accounting world. It was just that the mere thought of working directly under the Group Chief Accountant a.k.a Aunty Beast had given me goosebumps the whole day.

The tales that I've heard from the people around me makes me dread my move there. One girl actually quit after working under Aunty for a few months. Another girl tendered her resignation, for the same reasons, but were asked to re-tracked it and were transferred elsewhere in the Group. The girl, whose place that I was going to replace, once fainted in the washroom due to fatigue and work pressure. Hence, tell me how am I suppose to think of positive thoughts when all the stories that I've heard about the past executives are all terrifying tales?

One can only pray and hope that God will softened the heart of the Beast. My aunt actually gave me a phrase from the Quran that when recited will cause the person you are dealing with to mellow down or not be as tough on you. My only hope is that she won't scream at me as hard as she screamed at the 9 year old son, when he only scored 80 on his math exam.....

Binx: why can't February have 31 days in the month?

Ash is a Mummy, again....!

After the mating season ended, and Ash's "ohek-ohek" activities came to an end.... it was the time to wait for the babies to come.. And last friday, just as I arrived back from the office, and was about the ease my head on the sofa.. she came to me with a pleading look..

Ash: meaoooooow... meaooooooow... (help.. help.. i'm in pain..)
Binx: Arghh... Ash why now larr...?

So, had stayed by her side all night. I was there when her water broke and was waiting for the time for the babies to come. However, she didn't seem to want to push out that night.

I gave Lil' Sis a call to inform her that her Ramlee, Ajis & Sudin are on the way, only to hear her cry over the phone..

Lil' Sis: huuu.... huu... Ash.. huuuu.... huuuu.....

Ash's first group of babies were delivered on Lil' Sis's bed back in 1999. During that time, Lil' Sis was panicked stricken cause she's not the type that can endure such a geli-geli situation. However, as time goes by, she became an expert of such situation as we teamed up to
become Ash's midwives every time she gave birth. So this is the first time Lil' Sis not around to see Ash beranak.

Finally, after one whole night of agony, Ash delivered her babies yesterday at noon... Her 3 babies are soooooo cute (as always laa kan). But it's too bad that we cannot keep them for long. Since Mum & Big Sis are not too keen of cats, we've come to an agreement that we can only keep Ash.. and have to give away her babies once they are big enough.. Hence, will have to look for new owners for the kittens soon.... Anyone interested?

Morning Blurness....

Conversation took place in the office pantry

Mrs. S: Eh did you see the Star this morning ah?
Binx: Errr, no.. not yet... (continue to eat her home cooked nasi goreng.. yummy..)
Mrs. S: A 26 year old girl was killed at The Curve..
Mr. I: Yeah... I read that one.. It's very tragic eh...
Binx: The Curve? Oooook.. What happened?
Mrs. S: The girl was stabbed... and the best part is they found cement next to her body..
Mr. I: So.. for sure it's a rape and murder case larr...
Binx: Huh? Cement? Raped? I thought they've suspected a construction worker as the murderer... (blank face)
Mrs. S & Mr. I: *ROTFLOL*
Binx: (still blank face and continue eating her b'fast)
Mrs. S: My goodness girl... it's semen with an "S" laaa.. not cement as in the one used in making bricks....
Binx: oooooOOOOOO....... no wonder larrr (blushing red... malu malu...)
Mr. I: Now we know how innocent you are, girl.
Binx: Me bit blur laaa this morning... (dang!!!! hits the head with the spoon..)
Mrs. S: *LOL*

Binx: hope the blur sotong syndrome doesn't last the whole day.... (maybe I've caught the bug from someone...*winks*)

LLB

Was LLB'ing since lunch today.. It's not that I don't have any work to do. Was really in full gear the whole morning. However, after a McChicken lunch break, the LLB syndrome started to kick in...

What does LLB stands for?

Look Like Busy

How to LLB?

It's simple

1. look as if you are concentrating very hard on something
2. stare long and hard at the PC
3. surf your fav sites, blog hop, d/load songs, play games, chat on msgrs, do anything your heart desire

Warnings

1. always maintain the serious expression on the face
2. when reading funny blog posts, try not to laugh so hard.. a smile would do..
3. make sure that your PC position does not face your bosses room, or anyone else that matters
4. make sure there's an open file, scatterred papers, pens, and calculators on the desk to add a dramatic effect.. don't leave it clean or for sure will kantoi with the boss...
5. always have a work related window open as well, so that you can easily switch to it whenever the boss comes over to check on you..

So.. that's it... Happy LLB'ing ppl...

Binx: am bored... very bored...

Sayonara Lil' Sis

Lil' Sis finally left for Perth last Sunday... with 5 huge luggages, 2 boxes checked-in and 3 hand carry bags.. And yes of course it was over the limit, but she was lucky that Mom had some contacts with the MAS crew and they waived the charges.. hehehe..

The scene at KLIA... of course it was filled with hugs, hugs and more hugs.. and lots of tears. Especially between Lil' Sis and her 5 girlfriends.. (check out the updated fotopage)

In Perth, Aunty Yah's husband had to pick them up with his meat truck *lol*..
"Her stuffs are as heavy as one whole cow!"
Mana tak berat as a cow... she would have brought more if she could fit her entire wardrobe the in bags.. *winks*

p/s: Lil' Sis.. I know you do read my blog.. woi...!!! Don't laa be a stranger.. make yourself known.. Same goes to Ducky cousin of mine in Japan.. Ha... don't think I dunno wannnn.. :p

What's in your name?

Since my name is indeed very unique, was quite surprised that it was listed in the list of "Super Baby Names". The best partis that it comes with a researched (really ah?) analysis of the meaning behind the name...

What it says about my name really hits home (most of it larr, definitely not everything is true).. Hence, wanna get to know the real Binx? If yes, please continue your read. If no, you can read up on the meaning of your own name.

====================

Our first impression of these people is 'quiet strength'. They know how to use silence to best advantage. Ambition combined with their appreciation of beauty and refinement can take them to great levels of success. It is not necessary for these people to say in words what they want out of life because they are people of action. If they have a failing it is that they say too little and can be misunderstood by what they do say. They are refined, with expensive tastes, and an appreciation for the value of money and its power to get them what they want. They love the earth and all its bounty including the beauty of sunsets and the rising moon and what it suggests. They have confidence and quickly rise to become their own bosses because of their efficiency and natural business acumen. Working with others is not easy for them as they are independent and quite capable of working for themselves and figuring things out without interference and suggestions from others.

Their self-sufficiency could become a liability -- they discover that they do things better than others and so end up doing things themselves. They have the ability to organize others but are not naturally social creatures. It is difficult to feel easy and relaxed in their presence as they are deep and quiet types who say very little unless it is something philosophical or of a deeper nature. It is almost as if at times they look down at you. The truth is they are intelligent and perceptive and do not concern themselves with small talk or gossip. At such times they become disinterested and somewhat detached from their surroundings. They love nature and the earth and are superb gardeners. Walks in the woods has a way of rejuvenating them. Flowers, art and music can touch them deeply. Their work should revolve around something to do with nature.

They have the ability to capitalize on their personal interests and turn them into money. If they cannot work for the love of work they cannot succeed. They cannot endure mediocrity. They have concentration and discipline that helps them achieve almost anything they desire. Writing could be an excellent way for them to express themselves, their deeper feelings and thoughts. In relationships they can find difficulty with communication. They know so much but expressing it verbally is quite difficult. It isn't long before they find themselves responding to your faults with a silence that can be very disturbing. Unconsciously they can become judgemental and ultimately this erodes the relationship. If this happens too often they can turn away from relationships and become somewhat reclusive, choosing to remain a single person. If their birthdate indicates a naturally social nature they will suffer the consequence of this imbalance. Any weakness will affect them in the heart, lungs and bronchial organs, as well as the generative and female organs.

======================

note: those key words highlighted are the ones that I can relate too.. quite true larr.. unbelievable eh..

To those that know me personally, I beg you to comment on the analysis. Perhaps, by reading your comments plus the analysis above, I can further improve myself as a step towards becoming a better person.

Dance with My Father

Back when I was a child,
before life removed all the innocence
My father would lift me high
and dance with my mother and me and then
Spin me around 'til I fell asleep
Then up the stairs he would carry me
And I knew for sure I was loved

If I could get another chance,
another walk, another dance with him
I'd play a song that would never, ever end
How I'd love, love, love
To dance with my father again

When I and my mother would disagree
To get my way, I would run from her to him
He'd make me laugh just to comfort me
Then finally make me do just what my mama said
Later that night when I was asleep
He left a dollar under my sheet
Never dreamed that he would be gone from me

If I could steal one final glance,
one final step, one final dance with him
I'd play a song that would never, ever end
'Cause I'd love, love, love
To dance with my father again

Sometimes I'd listen outside her door
And I'd hear how my mother cried for him
I pray for her even more than me
I pray for her even more than me
I know I'm praying for much too much
But could you send back the only man she loved
I know you don't do it usually
But dear Lord she's dying
To dance with my father again

Every night I fall asleep and this is all I ever dream

~Luther Vandross~

Went to Dad's house today... Lil' Sis wanted to say her goodbyes to our grandma and Dad (since he'll be leaving for Kuching the next day and won't be able to send her off at the airport this Sunday). It was our second time visiting his house since he left home. The first time we were there, things were a tad bit awkward, especially to see pictures of him and his new family scattered everywhere in the big house.

However, surprisingly today's visit was great. I mean, it wasn't as bad as the 1st one. We tried our best to keep things as normal as possible. Typical of Dad to assume that we'll be comfortable with his new wife and her family around. We just had to paste a sweet smile on our face and act polite. In fact, we were very polite that we've made our dad so proud of us.. (hah!)

As usual, I'll get all sappy inside whenever I see him. Can't help myself to always think of the good old days when the family was still together as one. The time when Dad used to come back from work and lepak with us girls in front of the TV. The time when he used to pluck his guitar to Broery Marantika's "Widuri" or Eric Clapton's "Tears in Heaven". Even the time when he was mad when he found out someone had doodled on his favorite jeans and had taken out his belt to wallop us, with me and Big Sis crying and shivering hard hiding under the dining table (it was not our doing.. we only scribble on walls and papers.. never on clothing materials.. especially Dad's).

That's my Dad. He can be sweet and charming, a woman's man, whenever he wants to be (especially when he sings laaa). However, when his temper erupts (which was quite often), just have to steer clear and let him be. I guess in many ways, I've inherited most of his qualities (everyone says so.. even though how hard I've tried to deny it). Most people even say that I look like him.. Where ever I go, people will always say, "You nieh anak Ron eh... You look exactly like him".. I tried my best not to disclose the identity of my father during my early days working with my current company (due to personal reasons). But I failed to do so because of 1) my name, 2) my face, and 3) those nosy HR people. Hence, I can't hide the fact that I AM his daughter (even though I've tried to do so countless times - especially during the critical times when I hated even the sight of him).

When he walked out on us in 1998, I've built a rift so deep that I thought I would never ever able to forgive him for what he has done to us. However, after thousands lectures from my uncle, other relatives and friends, I've tried to forgive him (but never forget). It was actually easier said than done, for I've seen through the whole episode when the family empire crumble into pieces. Thus, even though I've forgiven him I still can't shake and kiss his hand whenever we meet.

This went on until November 2003, while I was busy studying for my CIMA exam. It was during the holly month of Ramadhan. I took the opportunity of the holly month to do my part as Allah's humble servant to perform the Terawikh. One night, while I was at the mosque reciting my prayers, asking Allah to lighten the burden that I've carried so far and ease my path to success, a thought of Dad suddenly came over me. It is as if saying that if I want my future to be blessed by Him, I need to make my peace with Dad. I cried so hard that night thinking of what I have done, and how rude I have acted towards him all this while. It was not his fault that my family crumbles. I mean, maybe God has plans for each one of us. If it was not for the divorce, I may be very content with my life and not be the woman I am now. If it was not for the divorce, Mama would not have found the peace that she feels now and be much closer to God as she is now. If it was not for the divorce, Lil' Sis would not have been as tough and independent as she is now. Everything happens for a reason rite....

Hence, I've made my peace with Dad that year. He was very happy about it indeed. Sent me numerous sms'es wishing me luck for my exam and all. He will always be the Dad that I've known. The one that does not actually know how to show his love except to lavish us with material stuffs. Either way, he IS my Dad and will always be my dad, no matter how hard I try to deny that fact.

The only thing that I regret is that he was not in my life when I needed him the most. He was not there to watch me go out with my 1st real boyfriend. He was not there to share my joy when I scored the highest mark for an exam. He was not at my university graduation to see me get up the stage to collect my hard-earned scroll. He was not around for me to consult on my future plans. He was not around to brief me before my very 1st job interview.. The bottom line is.. he was never around.

However, I am thankful that he is trying his best to be there for Lil' Sis. I hope that Lil' Sis will appreciate his gestures and effort. I know I would, if only I could turn back time...

When Mrs. Wacko Meets Mr. e-d

Finally met up with Mr. e-d after he came back to M'sia today. However, it was a total mistake to introduce him to Mrs. Wacko, cause now they've formed an ally against poor old me.. :(

The double team had poked fun at me from various angles.. started from the "Badul" joke to the scary-like fingers.. My oh my.. Luckily we were having our teh tarik at a very public area with people within the ear shot. If not.. both of them would have received some blue black marks frm the kung-fu fighting Binx (background music: woohooohoohooo.... everybody wants kungfu fighting... huh! )

On a positive note.. I got my boots today *yeay!* A Tommy boots from Mr. e-d.. Traded it with the Alias season 3 boxset.. hehehehe.. Thanks Eddie.. Have tried it on and it fits well.. Sorry laa to cause you trouble to go and change the size cause I tak didn't hear all your 21 missed calls that morning (Binx nieh kan tido mati.. )

The boots had actually caused a commotion from the table behind us.. 1stly if it's not because of Mr. e-d's smart move on giving me the pair of boots in "plastik rok-rak" or "supik jabir" (klantan speak).. those people behind us wouldn't have caught the glimpse of my brand new boots.. But no.... he had to put it in the undersized plastic bag laa kan..

Hence, the guys behind us was actually checking it out while we were enjoying our laughs laa kan. When we were about to leave, with Mr. e-d rushing off fast to meet his date and Mrs. Wacko went to pay the bill, one of the guy actually stopped me and ...

Baldy: "Excuse me, excuse me... excuse me...."
Binx: "Hmmm... yeah?"
Baldy: "I can't help but to notice your boots there.. Can I have a look at it?"
Binx: "Hmmm... sure.."
Baldy: "Cool boots... lawa nya.. where do you get it from..?"
Binx: "Oh.. my friend bought it for me from the States.. "
Baldy: "Ouwh.. I thought it was a man's boots... I love boots.. that's why I stopped you.. coz I wanted to ask where you get it from.. Plus, my friend here is interested to get to know your friend back there..."
Binx: (wah... sambil menyelam minum air tuh) "Ouh really... Eddie..? The guy?" (giving them a funny face)
Baldy: "No.. no... the girl in blue... He's interested.. So I thought I could ask for your number and give you a call later to find out more about your friend on behalf of my friend here.. He's very shy.."
Binx: (took a glimpse at the shy friend...eeewwwweeee...) "Errrmmmm... I'm so sorry laa k.. but my friend's married"
Baldy: "Ouwh really...? Auww man... sorry bro.. I tried.. Anyway, it was nice meeting you... I didn't get your name... Mine's Wan.. Hope to see you again.."

Waaaaaaaah... Even at mamak stall also people can do that ahh..? Oh well.. At least Mrs. Wacko knows that her share is still high in the market.. muahahahha..

Binx: hmmmm... the baldy was not bad at all actually.. *winks*

TGIF

The day had begun in a good note. As I've updated in my last post, I woke up early that day and finally arrived at the office earlier than the rest of the staffs *yeay!*. Hence, was in a jovial mood all day. Even the trip to the previous subsidiary that I've served did not deter my spirit. I actually got to spend some time in the car (on the way to the subsidiary co. in PJ) with my boss, trying to get to know more of her, outside from our usual boss-staff relationship.

My mood were so high that I've finally called and asked my ever-so-poyo colleague out for coffee. It has been awhile since I've last saw him. And it felt good to let out my steam for what had caused us to drift apart. Even though I know I was being hard on him.. but he needed the push and according to him, he has finally realised his poyo-ness (thanks to his buddy) and trying to change for the better.. There is a god... hehehe..

Hot Hot Hot Saturday

I was already up and about by 8am. Was already queuing up at the Toyota service center by 8.15am.

Binx: "How long will it take you to get it done?"
Mr. X: "Oh.. usually for 10,000km it will only take awhile.."
Binx: "Ok.. if that's the case, I'll just wait inside"
Mr. X: "No problem.. We'll be quick.."

I actually get to read The Star from cover to cover that day. At 10a.m my car was still not ready.. and I was fuming mad.. I didn't realised that it'll take them that long. Plus, I have promised to be at Ejan's early to be her unofficial camera lady. One look at the place where they hung the car keys that are serviced tells me that it was gonna be a very long wait. Hence, had taken matters into my own hand and started to pester the kakak at the reception desk.

Binx: "Kak, kereta saya tak siap lagi ke kak? Dah lama dah nieh. Saya kat sini dari pukul 8 tadi"
Kakak: "oh ye ke dik? Hmm.. kereta adik nya plate apa?
Binx: "W** 9***, lama lagi ke kak?"
Kakak: "Hmmm.. lama laa dik.. nieh 10,000km nieh.. selalunya lebih 3 jam"
Binx: wtf....!!! "tapi mamat tadi cakap sekejap.. Mana boleh macam nieh kak.. Saya dah lambat nieh.. Kawan saya nak kawin hari nieh.."
Kakak: "ok ok... relax dik..."
Kakak: "MAN!!!! cepat siapkan adik nieh punya kereta.. dah lama dia tunggu..."

15 minutes later I was driving out of the service center, thanks to the nice kakak..

=============================

I couldn't make it in time to Ejan's place to taste her mum's delicious laksa johor (my favorite..... yummy..). By the time I reached home it was already close to 11 and the entourage was pushing off from Shah Alam at 11.30. Hence, decided to convoy with Mrs. Wacko and hubby instead.

The weather was really hot that day and it matches my mood at that time. But the mood had subsided once I stepped into Mrs. Wacko's car to wait for the wedding entourage to arrive. Mana tak nya... ada aje crazy stories from her that makes you explode in laughter..

The reception was great. All decked in green (luckily it was not ALL green as you've expected, Jan). And the food was great, judging from the rate Mrs. Wacko was helping herself to the spread in front of her*winks*. The bride and groom looked great as usual... (check out the updated fotopages).

On our way back (Mrs. Wacko had to ride with me since she was ditched by her hubby), Mrs. Wacko actually burst into laughter when she saw my long fingers. I don't know what came into her, but she was laughing like mad at the sight of my long skinny fingers (she's wacko for sure!)

Binx: "Eh you, don't you think I've put on a little more weight?"
Mrs. W: "Hmmm.... yeah.. especially visible on your cheek, as usual..... And your fingers..... My god Ja.. your fingers... hahahahhahahhahhaha"
Binx: "What laaar soo funny bout it?"
Mrs. W: "It looks so scary.. So long and skinny.. Like Golumn's.. you know the beast in LOTR.. my precious... hahahhhahahahhaha"
Binx: "wtf laaa.... hey... You nieh takde keje lain ke... Girl.. stop the irritating laugh laaa....!!!!" *dush* *dush* *dush*

I dropped her off at her house with few bruises on the arms and body parts... sorry Mrs. W... Well... you asked for it gurl....

A Neverland Sunday...

Watched Finding Neverland today. It was truly an enchanted movie. It was so moving that I was actually caught up with the whole thing. Johnny Depp was truly good in the movie and Kate Winslet too.. However, I especially love the kid, Peter (Freddie Highmore)... the serious character that he played was very very good.. excellent act from the kid. Now, I'm looking forward for his next movie... Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, a movie based on the very famous children book (I know Joe will love this movie... like he loves the entire book collection).

The rest of the day was spent cleaning up the room... Need to get my study space ready.. Will have to start studying soon if not later. Penat... had to haul the heavy vacum cleaner up.. then the air humidifier pulak.. hmmm.. but the result was.. a clean room... beh nyaaa tido mlm nieh...

Binx: will have to get wardrobe organised next...

O'Mighty Clock....

O'Mighty Clock on the bed... Please.. please.. please wake me up early tomorrow morning.. Don't let me sleep in till 8.. I've been late everyday this week.. That's bad O'Mighty One.. Not good at all. I can't be seen by Uncle Dan coming in late (which nearly happened this morning if not for my quick moves...) not during these crucial moments when my increament is at stake... Hence, I beg that your LOUD ringer will pull me out of my slumberland every morning from this day forward.. till your death do us part.. *lol* Posted by Hello

Binx: great attempt at publishing the 1st photo I took with my brand new digital camera *winks*

Here's to a healthy start...

Since I've been having insomnia lately, I've decided to do some exercise after work.. I used to do the same thing during my uni years, when I suffered from the same disease (the case was even worse coz it was exactly after my parent's divorced). I actually made myself walk around the whole of TTDI every single evening without fail. The result: peaceful sleep every night.

Hence, I'm going to start the whole routine again. But this time it'll be somewhere near the office. There's no point of me rushing back home in the traffic, it'll only increase the stress level aje. Thus, had made plans with my buddy to start our new routine in central KL itself (if not we usually either hangout at Pelita or Starbucks KLCC while waiting for her husband to finish his gym session).

It had been ages since I've last worked-out. Everything (my gears) are scattered around the house. Plus, since we've just shifted to a new house, most of my things are in those boxes under the stairs or up in the attic. So, I'll just have to make do with what I have at hand....

Binx's checklist:

  • running shoe - checked (haven't wear it since came back frm OBS)
  • running pants - checked (the ones I wear every time my relatives sleeps over)
  • t-shirt - checked
  • towel - checked
  • socks - checked (petaling street mali.. 3 for RM10.. )

Binx: hope the weather will be clear tomorrow....

Back to the office!!

It was a holiday yesterday for KLians due to hari wilayah.. and I thought I could sleep in for the whole day (typical Binx's activity what...). However, had to accompany Lil' Sis to Low Yat to buy all her techie gears to be used in Perth. Our first stop was the camera shop.. At first I was telling myself to keep self focused on things to look out for Lil' Sis and not deviate away from plan (cause like I've mentioned in my previous post... I've burst my budget for last month.. hence, am trying to cover it for this month - feb).. BUT... something had caught my attention and I fell in love with it at the 1st sight.. Luckily the shop didn't have HSBC credit card in their easy installment scheme list. If not, I'd be a proud owner of the Canon IXUS digital camera by now.. Oh well.. I've made a mental note to call Ejan soon and apply for a RHB credit card.. just so I can buy the sweetie.. *winks*

Next, we went up to the handphone floor where you'll be blinded by all the latest handphone in the market. Mummy wanted to get herself a new handphone.. Since all her 3 daughters now are using Samsung flip phones she's been hinting that she too needs a new phone - preferably as canggih as ours laa kan.. hahahaha.. Mama..Mama.. But for sure if she owns a canggih phone pun she wouldn't know how to use all the features available pun kan.. (like someone else I know.. *hint hint*).. Thus, what's the point of getting an expensive phone and not put it to full use?

Back to Lil' Sis's hunt for tech items.. She was looking for an iMac laptop but there was no Mac store there. People she knows recommended the brand cause it's well known to be compatible for designing purposes. However, a Sony Vaio did catch her attention and she was trying to reason out why she should get the Vaio instead of the iMac.. Wah... kids nowadays.. Didn't even pause to look at the price of the laptop.. Pengsan tau Mummy lepas nieh..

Our hunt ended with Sis buying only 100 blank CDs, an MP3 player (to record her lectures) and a thumb drive.. that's it!! And it was all done in 3 hours!!! Oh yeah, I bought a Alias DVD box set for Big Sis's friend in South Africa, plus 2 other movie DVDs - closer (jude law!!) & finding neverland (johnny depp!!).

We had our lunch at the famous Bukit Bintang Hainan Chicken Rice shop.. It was simply delicious.. It has been years since I've last been there.. The last time was with my fellow management trainees colleagues during our stint at the Royale Bintang hotel. Anyway, the chicken rice was great.. especially the chicken soup (they added ground penuts in it... yummy) and the kerabu mangga were to die for.. The only place that I've tasted a delicious kerabu mangga was in Hadyai, Thailand (have to find a recipe for it laa). Hence, it was a melantak session for me and crew.

A new month now.. How time flies.. We're now into our 2nd month of the year. Lil' Sis will be leaving for Perth soon.. Will miss her for sure.. Who am I gonna bully to wash Ash's poo poo now if I am too malas to do it myself? Who's gonna teman me on my shopping expeditions? Who's gonna be my fashion conslutant? Who's gonna buat muka seposen when wanna ask for favours frm her sisters? Hmmmm.......

Binx: still am pissed for not being able to join the family trip to Perth...!!
