Confession of a Jakun Binx...

I was working my butt off for the past 2 days to prepare for my CEO's meeting with the DPM today. 2 days of hard work with no time for breakfast & lunch break!

Then yesterday, Lady Boss told me that I had to be at the MoF Office to standby outside the meeting room, just in case CEO needs any additional info or any assistance. And, since I saw the Project through since the initial stage till now, I was the best person to be there. (Padahal dia malas nak pegi Putrajaya)....

So.. terpaksa laa pegi Putrajaya this morning. I never knew where MoF is located and what I saw was really impressive... Memang jakun la kejap kan... The building was very modern... and the interior decor was super nice.. all cream and bright... i like...

I was instructed to go straight to the 12th floor where the Minister's Meeting Room was located. Ketaq giler lutut masa masuk the lift tuh...

My CEO called me to enter the meeting room to clarify few last minute things before the meeting starts.. Once that was cleared, he asked me to just remain in the room and just take the sit next to him... perghh... I was not expecting that!

Once everyone had gathered (all the 13 Tan Sris and Datuk Seris... I was the only lady in the room!), DPM made his grand entrance.. Waaah... very the grand OK.. coming from the side sliding door in his bright white shirt and black pants suit with bright red tie and handkerchief in the pocket.... Dashing... Masculine... Powerful...

I just can't resist staring at him throughout the meeting. Jakun OK....

Oh well... I guess it was an experience of a lifetime. I don't think I would ever get that chance to be sitting in the same meeting room with the next PM again....

One year ago I had to assist the same CEO with his speech for an analyst briefing... This year, with the DPM...

Next year? The King??

*dream on Binx!*

The Weekend Getaway

We finally managed to take time off from our busy schedule to go for a short trip to Bukit Tinggi.

Yeah... Of all the places in Malaysia, we chose Bukit Tinggi... Why?
1) We thought it would be cold there
2) We wanted a quiet place to relax and escape from the Genting crowd
3) Hotels in Cameron Highlands are charging ridiculously expensive rate due to the holiday season
4) We just wanted to check out what is so great about Bukit Tinggi

So... We went... We saw... and we vowed never to return...

Why?
1) The temp was not as cold as we thought.. (Mr Judge cakap dekat Hulu Langat lagi sejuk)
2) The hotel room was so rundown and we think it was not worth paying the amount that we had paid.. Memang rip-off habis ok...
3) The hotel service was bad...
a) We had to wait until 3 p.m. to get our room! (We arrived close to noon)
b) We were sent on a scavenger hunt just to locate the Spa for our massage session (Lain kali specify laa betul-betul2)

Anyway, we managed to have a good rest during the trip (since it rained most of the time...). Nasib baik the massage session was good.. Kalau tak, mesti hangin satu badan.. :)

On Tuesday, we decided to check-out the most talk about Japanese restaurant in town - Tenji Japanese Buffet @ Solaris Mont. Kiara.

The food spread is really good that even the non-japanese-food-eater me had a jolly time munching on all the delicious seafood!

See the pics and you'll know what I mean....

Plus, check out the pics from other blogs that I've found... here.

For the japanese food lovers, I recommend you to go now.. They are having a promotion of:
RM49.90+ for lunch (regular price RM77) that starts from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m..
RM88 for dinner and weekends

RM50 bucks for lots and lots of crabs, soft shell crabs, shrimps, lamb, oysters, steamed fish, sashimi, unagi, sushi, udon, tempura, etc..., free-flow of sweet cocunut juice and delicious Häagen-Dazs!! I think it's worth it!

But make sure u make a reservation ahead to secure seats!

I am looking forward to the next holiday... This time it will be a spring cleaning weekend! I wonder if Bibik can help me out this weekend... hehehe...

I hate this part right here....

Mr. Judge is working the night shift again. I bumped into him at the lift on the ground floor this morning just enough to give him a peck and passed him the bag of garbage for him to throw.

I felt so bad that we didn't even managed to have a proper conversation this morning... so I rushed out off the office just as the clock struck 5 p.m..

Luckily the traffic was still smooth sailing and I managed to reach our apartment in under 30 minutes.

I was still smiling as I unlocked the grill and the door and was picturing the surprise look on Mr Judge's face when he sees me back so early.

However, I came home to an empty apartment....

He had to leave early today for a meeting.

Serves me right for not calling ahead....

:(

The most apt song for now....

I was having lunch with 2 colleagues the other day when one of them shared with us this story....

Colleague 1: You know what my 3 year old daughter sang the other day?
Me: What?
Colleague 1: Row... row... row your boat
Colleague 1: Gently down the stream
Colleague 1: Fucky... fucky... fucky... fucky...
Colleague 1: Life is just fucky...
Me & Colleague 2: Muahahahahahhahahahahahhahahahahhahahahahahhahaha..........

(Apparently she got it from watching the Donald Duck's version of the song... and no, Donald Duck didn't say fucky.. I don't think so lar kan)

And the song just stuck to me until today...

Whenever I am stuck doing a stupid task @ work, I now have a new mantra to chant... thanks to lil' Qis... :)

A sneeky copycat

I used to monitor my blog's traffic diligently. Every single day, I will click on the statistics tracker to check on the latest report.

I used to be curious on who reads my blog.

That was when I had all the time in the world to enjoy surfing the internet. I no longer have that luxury any more.

Now, I will be lucky even to be able to update the blog regularly. Well, at least when I do, I know that what I write is genuine and came straight from the heart!

I was shocked to find out that someone had mentioned this blog in one of her controversial post last week (thanks for the heads up, babe!).

Well, someone had copied one of my blog post (almost word for word, including the stupid spelling error that I've made - yea.. my english sucks, I know) and call it her own.

Seriously!

click on the image to read

Apparently that was not her first time plagiarising other people's blog post to be posted as her own. From what I've read, she even copied a blog post about other people's pregnancy experience to describe her own experience during her pregnancy. How crazy is that?

I guess she just sits in front of the PC on a daily basis and think of a topic to write for the day...

... hmmm.. what should I write about today? ... aahh... I went to the spa yesterday.. why don't I write about that... ... let's google the spa... ... aahh... here's a blog post on the very same spa...! ... ctrl+c .......ctrl+v ... update ... ok i'm done!

I strongly suggest for the blogger to just stop blogging if she carries on plagiarising other people's writing. Seriously.... It's just wrong.... She wouldn't want to end up like the actress-turned-writer who has created a massive controversy when she plagiarised a great author's poem last year (I think it was last year). Siap masuk Melodi tuh...!

Get a life!

To Piah Zadora: Thanks for the news... But, how in the world did you manage to track the plagiarism? Wa salute sama lu...
