Ash, the cat : "Meoooooow.... meooooooow.... meooooooow!!" (human language: "hey wake up u idiot.. feed me")
Binx: "Isk.. bising laa.. go away laa.. zzzzz"

This is a normal scene every morning in my house for the past 6 years. Only until recently did I actually put it into a good use.

Every night for the past 2 weeks I have been trying to figure out ways for me to wake up early.. I've tried setting alarm clocks, only to be knocked over the bed in the morning after & broke into pieces. I even tried setting the handphone alarm : Daily alarm (6am), Morning call (6.15am).. that only work for the first few days after I set it. Subsequent days, my internal clock macam dah lali with the ringer that I won't notice the loud music anymore. So I had to changed the ringer every other day so that I won't recognise the familiar tone and wake up...

So.. one fine night, after being extremely late to work that day.. I tried a very traditional way to get me to wake up the next day.. According to org tua dulu2.. you should fluff your pillows before going to sleep and set a niat - the time you plan to wake up. Insyallah akan tersedar laaa.. So, I set out fluffing my pillows that night, while Ash was busy licking her fur at the corner of my bed.. Then, I reached for the fat cat and gave her the usual goodnight hug (I read somewhere that hugging a cat/pet is a good therapeutic way to release your stress).

Binx: "Goodnight ash... Don't forget to wake me up at 6.30am ok.. tau.. don't forget k yang..."
Ash: "Meeeoooow...." and continued her licking exercise.. strecthing far back to the hard to reach areas...

6am : The daily alarm rings.... "argghhh......." and pressed the off button.
6.15am : The morning call alarm rings...
6.20am : Was comtemplating to continue for another few more minutes
6.30am : "Meeeeeeooooooooooow...... Meeeeeeoooooooow....", her wet nose touched my cheek and she kept nudging my hand....

Oh wow... Alhamdulillah..... How cool is that? And the best part is that she won't stop bugging me until I actually rise from the bed and reached for my towels - which was great.. Sayang Ash..

I told my lil sis bout it that night and she thought it was a joke. She tried the same thing that night but it was before I told Ash to wake me up too... I guess the poor cat got confused as to enter which room at what time.. coz I found her terbongkang tido in the outside hall between the two rooms (yeah I was late again that day.. thanks to lil sis..).

Now I locked her in the room with me every night. I even bought her a bright yellow bathroom mat frm IKEA yesterday, for her to sleep on (coz she loves to sleep on my praying mat and leaves all the fur on it). And what a lovely sight to see her sleep on it...... gila cute with all her 'aksi berani' sleeping poses.

Hence, now I have no trouble waking up (insyallah) thanks to Ashy doo doo....
