The Curve - The Lifestyle Mall

Yesterday I was summoned by the Financial Controller to be at The Curve, the latest edition to our Group's family to memeriahkan lagi the new Mall. Apparently, they were having a pre-soft launching event at the Mall and needed people to fill the space of the Mall so that it would not look too barren on TV (NTV7 was covering the scene for the night with Dang Suria as the interviewer). So, memeriahkan the Mall we did....

FREE Starbucks Mug

Since it was the opening week of The Curve, most of the shops are having promotional give aways, including my fav coffee store, Starbucks.

Little did I know that those of us that were summoned to the Mall were given an allowance to roam the shops.. No wonder there were lots of the Group's staffs around... So apa lagi... Me & my Starbucks buddy straight away headed for the coffee shop (heaven) laa kan. And since he made such a big fuss about me owing him a Choc Frappucino.. I paid for his drink unwillingly (dah laa selamba jek order a grande when I only ordered a tall coffee) *wink*. Dah laa org paid for his drink, he actually gave his Starbucks card to be stamped!.. Dang! Where in the hell is my card?

However, I guess there were a blessing in disguise.. Since the total purchased was above RM20, I got a FREE mug... And that buddy of mine was flabbergasted... Kidd.. the look on your face was.... priceless.. muahahahaha...

Kamiseta

This is by far the best shop in the Mall. It is a new brand from Manila and marketed by our very own purchasing team, headed by a fav colleague of mine... One glance at the layout of the shop, you will fall in love with it. It is so comfy and pretty... (Nadia.... commission yeah *winks*). Even her husband was saying that putting the plush & comfy sofas was a very good and thoughtful idea (finally, the guys' prayers have been answered!). So people.. go check it out yeah..

Cafe Marche

The cafe is excellent.. Didn't get a chance to sample the food yet, but the reviews I got from reliable sources says it all. It offers variety of food frm pasta to dessert spreads.. One look at the fruit trifles was enough to set my stomach to its growling mode. So girlfriends.. I'll take you there some time soon ok..

Finally....The Rasta Retreat

After like a year of not lepakking together, I've finally got to meet up with my fellow management trainee colleagues.. As part of the training program, we had to spend 3 months going around the subsidiaries for the familiarisation program. 3 months is a long time for us and what a joyful 3 months it had been. Now, 1 had left the company for a greener pasture, 2 have been seconded to run the Mall and another 2 have become a permanent number crunchers (guess which group I belong to?).

Miss them heaps.. There were lots of things to catch up on, the latest updates, latest gossips, latest kutuking session.. Plus, our retreat session was joined by the old and new batch of trainees.. So we got to trade the funny stories and also the gruesome moments throughout the training program (which I will share in another post).

Anyway, thanks guys for making me laugh so hard.. I really had a down day before.. but the outing had changed it into a great one. Kudos to Kidd for the hard laugh over the free mug :)
