Today, came to the office feeling rejoiced. Spent the whole of last week thinking about the task handed to me by Ejan, to find the most perfect wedding souvenirs for her reception next month. So, had searched high and low, with Nai's creative assistance, and thought we have found 'the' gift. Presented the idea and mock model to her yesterday over our "Santai" session and she loved it. Better yet, her mom loved the idea too! Yeay!
One task down, one more to go... to find the most perfect wedding gift for the bride-to-be herself. What to get her for her wedding? The question had been running in my mind since the day she set her wedding date. The idea is not to buy a gift just because we want it to be lavishly expensive.. The gift needs to come from the heart, sincere, and needs to be something that she'll remember through out her marriage. Hmmm... though one..
We've finally came to a decision to buy her a ............. The idea strucked us when we were discussing her wedding plans last week over Dim Sum in Hartamas Square (believe it or not.. it was my first time eating dim sum after constant persuation from the two nagging ladies *winks*). I voiced it out to Nai, and as usual she had the same idea too (telephatic laa katakan..). The best part was, as if on cue, Ejan had told us yesterday what she had planned for the same thing and that gave us the missing clue as to what exactly to get her. And since the gift needs prior planning, we had to tell her about it before she, herself, set out to do it.
Told her about our plan this morning. She was reluctant to the idea at first. However, after some pujuk'ing session and more persuading done by yours truly (with pouting mouth and annoying chant, "nak jugak! nak jugak! nak jugak!".. hehehe), she finally caved in to the idea. Double yeay!..
Ejan, just want you to know that we are not giving you this to outshine your other gifts.. We just want you to be happy cause we know that it is something that you really want (well... not really laa.. let's just say it was your 2nd or 3rd option laa kan). You've made our day by saying yes to it! (It actually brought tears to my eye.. everything was a bit misty for a moment there). Just have to wait for another "santai" session or gathering to give us the big hug yeah..
Yes dear.. we know we're the "beh" (terengganu/kelantan word for best)..
