I walk alone in this world
meeting new people at every destination and every mile
some of them stayed for a while
but most walk away after a smile
When would I have a companion
that would travel the world with me?
To accompany me through the great moments
and cry with me, hold me and listen when I lament
Someone who can make me smile to the world
makes me feel brave enough to face problems that were hurled
I long to have that special someone
with whom I could share a day's stories with
over coffee under the moonlight
However, my journey has only just begun
There's still a long way to go
I have no idea of what is waiting ahead
I would just keep on hoping that my long awaited companion
would be waiting for me at my next stop....
