I went to work again today.. My 2nd time in 2 weeks working over the weekend. That means I have been working for 14 days straight.. Crazy eh..?
Anyway, that's besides the point.
After full 3 hours of concentrating on the group consol
accounts, my tummy was complaining to be fed by lunch time. And as usual, my colleagues decided to call for pizza. That's the custom meal for us, who works over the weekend. We were too lazy to walk the distance to get a decent lunch. Hence, all we needed to do was just to dial 1-300-88-2525...Since the guys were too lazy to make the order, yours truly were given the task to do so. Hence, I've called the restaurant for the first time using my handphone. The guy that took my order was extra friendly today. However, I just ignored his over-friendly tone because I was concentrating on the fact that it'll take them 45 minutes to deliver the order. It was 12.30 p.m. when I made the call and I need to be in class at 2 p.m.. Macam the sempat aje.. Hence, I've asked him to try and make it in less than the said time (mcm restaurant tuh bapak i yg punya aje.. hehehehe)
Well, tunggu punya tunggu... the runner finally came at 1.30 p.m.. I was almost out of the door when the guy arrived. So, makan laa lunch dengan rush'nya.. Nasib baik tak tercekik.
OK..... What I wanted to share with all of you is..
NEVER GIVE OUT YOUR HANDPHONE NUMBER WHEN YOU MAKE YOUR ORDERS!!
Because....
I received an sms tonight that reads...
Hi binx. Diz Ravi (pizza). U did sound sweet n would like 2 know u. If u dun like sori 2 disturb. Will b my last msg 2 u. Sms bck. tc :)
Errrkkkk..... Scary ain't it?
Is this how they try to pick-up girls nowadays?
Actually, this is not the first time I've received such a message.
The last time was however in the form of a phone call. It was from a guy in the credit card application department of a local bank. He called just to 'chat', so he said. Luckily I am not the type of girl that would layan such phone call from a stranger. I just politely asked how he got my number and what was his purpose of calling. When I got to know where he got my number from, I straight away asked him never to repeat such act and said that I will report it to his superior soon.
I bet I'm not the only one who've faced such situations... However, how do we put a stop to it?
binx: sorry.. wrong number...
