Senseless Ramblings 220307

I know I haven't been 'writing' that much for quite a while now. Instead, I've been filling the spaces with fillers just so that the blog is updated. Maybe it's because I just don't know how translate my current feelings into words. Or maybe I just don't have anything interesting to blog about anymore.

I've been going through lots of emotional turmoils for the past couple of months. Many of which are too personal to blog about. Somehow I have managed to keep it all to myself and have tried to battle it alone. And I guess I still have a long battle to fight since my future is still left hanging without any certainty.

How I wish I was born with a silver spoon... Then I could have opened my very own cafe rite now. Talking and dreaming about it only makes me yearn for it even more. I know it's always good to dream. However, dreaming bout something and not having any means to turn it into a reality is really shitty... Don't you think so?

Window shopping sucks. Been doing a lot of that lately. I've always been the type that loves to buy stuffs based on impulse. But I can't afford to do that anymore. Hence, now I can only afford to ogle and salivate every time I see a cool bag or shoe or anything else for that matter. That really sucks...

Time flies when you are having fun. A 12 hours outing felt like a mere 3 hours gig if you have the rite company and a whole lot of things to talk about. Lets just hope something fruitful will come out of it - like an all-expense paid trip to Sweden, perhaps? *winks*

I wish I could go away somewhere, anywhere, just to forget about everything... A beach holiday would be nice... However, I'd be happy just to take a walk somewhere cool and calm, where I can block away all the negative voices in my head...

Have any of you seen the movie Pan's Labyrinth? It's actually really good, minus some minor scenes that IMHO are somewhat illogical. Anyway, the main soundtrack of the movie (the one that the lady hummed) is now stuck in my head... Just like how Mukhsin's soundtrack was stuck in my head for days after I've watched it. Anyone know where I can download the said track?

"Rahmat dibawa bersama
Limpahannya meresap dijiwa
adakala bahgia terasa
meskipun duka nestapa..."

Lagu Hujan - Mukhsin's OST

A cup of proper coffee in a copper coffee cup...

You've no need to light a night-light
On a light night like tonight,
For a night-light's light's a slight light,
And tonight's a night that's light.
When a night's light, like tonight's light,
It is really not quite right
To light night-lights with their slight lights
On a light night like tonight.

What happened to the old Binx?

I've been doing some soul searching lately... I've been doing a lot of thinking and reflecting... And what I can deduce from all that thinking and reflecting is that I am not the same old Binx that I used to be a year ago.

The old Binx was a confident girl, full of determination to succeed in life. She was willing to go all out to get what she wanted. She would not break into tears at the slightest problem she encountered. Instead, she'll just double her effort in order to solve the matter.

The current Binx is the weak Binx. She just gives up whenever she faces a barrier, surrendering without even trying to put up a fight. Maybe the Beast had managed to kill her spirits or maybe all the things that had happened through out 2006 had managed to dampen her determination to fight. Now she just surrenders her future to fate, not even trying to put in any effort to change it.

I hate the current Binx. She cries easily, especially when the situation rendered her helpless. How am I gonna transform the current Binx back into her old self?

Maybe a trip to the East-Coast will do her some good... Maybe...

Confession of a weird Binx

I've been tagged by Cik Ubisetela. It has been a while since someone tagged me, since I never had time to answer all the tags before (while slaving myself for the Beast).

So, here goes nothing...

Rules of the game: Each player of this game starts out by telling 6 weird things about themselves on their own blog, as well as state the rules clearly. At the end, you will need to choose 6 people to be tagged and list out their names. After you do that, leave them a comment on their blogs letting them know you tagged them.

1. I check on my blog visitors' IP constantly (yeah, I'm a freak like that)... I don't know why, but I'm kind of curious as to who is reading my senseless ramblings day in day out. So, whenever there's a new reader on the block, I'll know... hehehe... Crazy, I know...

2. Whenever I eat rice with lauk, I would compartmentalise every lauk into it's own area (e.g. from left to right: chicken curry, omelette, vege (if any) and sambal belacan) . I don't like to mix it all in one horrible mess. My dad used to say that is because I am so used to eating with trays during my boarding school years where each lauk has its own compartment. That is why I really don't fancy eating nasi kandar, where they like to pile everything in one big, messy glob, and put each and every gravy in sight on the rice. Urrghh... The mamak at any nasi kandar stall will always give me a weird look whenever I tell them not to put any gravy at all on my rice... Sometimes they tak puas hati and insist on putting at least one type of gravy on it, to which I'll decline in protest. It's MY nasi.. let me eat it MY way lar kan...

3. I love to imagine about stuffs. Sometimes, my imagination gets so real and intense that I'll get confused as to whether it was just a dream or reality.

4. I like to 'muncung' when I'm in my deep thinking mode. It'll turn on automatically without me realising it.

5. I don't like vegetables. I'll pick them out, one by one, if they ever end up in any of my meals. However, I've never ordered anything without vege before, because any nasi goreng, kuey teow kung fu and etc. will taste weird without it. Hence, I'd rather pick them out of the dishes than eating a tasteless dish.

6. I can burp non-stop for more than 5 minutes at one go. I don't know how it happened, but I am just full of gas. Sometimes I'll combine my burping energy with Lil' Sis (who has the same 'gift') burp to a duet melody...

As always, the tag ends here...

Pursuing Happyness

Went to see 'The Pursuit of Happyness' last night. After reading the endless review about the movie, all I can say is that it is indeed one GREAT movie. Do watch it if you are the type that feels deeply about 'keeping the family together'.

All I can say is that if I were to have a dad like Chris Gardner, I would be the proudest daughter in the whole wide world. However, that would be far from the real world situation, considering my current circumstances.

Two thumbs up for the father-and-son duo, Will Smith and his son Jaden, for the superb heart-wrenching performance. They managed to make me cry more than once during the movie. Although, it is a known fact that I can get all misty-eyed and shed a tear even by watching a simple loving gesture of a father giving his son a hug while picking him up after the English Class. It's something that I haven't experienced for quite a long time now.

"Maybe happiness is something that we can only pursue. And maybe we can actually never have it no matter what."
~ Chris Gardner

If what he said is true, then I guess I'll just have to keep on pursuing it. Because, I've had the chance to sample what happiness feels like last night, and like coffee, it is really addictive. I really hope that I'll be able to experience more of it in the near future. And I hope that the happiness that I am pursuing will be attainable because I BELIEVE it will be...
