It has been a very hectic and stressful week. Despite the fact that I only have less than 3 weeks to go before I leave the company, I still have lots to finish up.
Handover? What handover? So far, I have only managed to handover one part of my current portfolio to 1 out of 2 person that will take over my job. Tuh pun 3 weeks after Uncle Dan had asked me to proceed with the handover process.. Terrible kan? The other person tuh lagi teruk. The day that he found out that he was 'the chosen one' that will be sitting in the hot seat, terus dapat chicken pox!!! Imagine that.. A 30 something year old guy baru nak kena chicken pox. Until today, 3 weeks later, pun tak baik-baik lagi.. *sigh*
In the end, I still have to do the cashflow report for the month, which until now is still pending information from an idiotic accountant.. *sigh*
Tomorrow (Thursday) is the Company's AGM, and guess who is one of the usherer... Who else laa kan.. Once you are marked as one, your name will always pop-up for every event. Even dah nak berenti nieh pun still kena jadi usherer.. Not only that, at the very last minute today (4.45 pm), our GMD had requested for powerpoint presentation slides to accompany his speech during the AGM.. And guessed who had to prepare it? ME!
*arrgghhh*
Usherer and 'the person who handles the slides'... Two different roles to play...
Which leads me to my next conflict.. What should I wear?
They make it compulsory for the usherers to wear baju kurung. According to them it is more presentable that way. However, I can't imagine myself in a baju kurung while mending the power point slides for the GMD. It is so not the corporate laa.. Plus, the place where they have set-up the projector and the laptop is freaking cold, strategically situated under a huge air-cond vent. If pakai the thin baju kurung, by the end of the one hour session I will be frozen to death.
If I were to opt for a pants suit, I will be the only one out during the ushering process.. I am now very very confuse...
binx: cuci mata session esok!

do tell bout ur cuti mata session!
*i believe binx, u didn't mean 'thin' baju kurung, just that obviously baju kurung is of thinner material than the pant suit. dsaint's comment cracked me up but jahat ah dsaint! pukul dia binx, pukul!
pakai Kebaya, binx... best of both worlds! traditional, yet sexily professional.. ;)
dsaint:

naah.. didnt wear the kebaya.. and it was a smart move on my part.. apart frm having to run up and down frm my department to the conference room in my 2 inch stilletoes, i also had to endure a 1 and a half hour AGM session under the air cond vent.. even with the jacket pun i was freaking cold..
but i have to agree, i've always preferred kebaya over baju kurung

maybe coz they can't do it on friday due to the friday prayers.. hence, they chose the 2nd last day of the working week. apa2 laa labu..
kelip2? naaah.. i don't need all those to attract attention.. saya hanya perlu senyum sahaja.. muahahaha..
Now, who have the right to say what's right to wear according to 'corporate standard' anyway..
What matters more is how's they carry themselves within the corporate environment..
Baju Kurung OK apa??... hehehe
