Let's Rhumba!!!

It has been a great day for me today (Tuesday)...

It all started when I put on the new kebaya top that Mum bought for me. I've been wanting to wear it on a number of occasion previously, but the mood just wasn't there. And since I felt all chirpy since I woke up this morning, it just seem like the perfect day to try it out.

"Hmmmm... not bad.. not bad at all.."
"Looking good, binx" (yeah yeah.. perasan laa kejap)

Got to the office and received few appreciative glances from fellow colleagues. Even Aunty Beast took a double glance at me when I handed her the morning paper. Ohhh.. let me bask in the glory of the moment for a minute will ya...... *rolled eyes*

Anyway, today was Uncle Dan's golden birthday celebration. Hence, there was a makan-makan event held at the conference hall on his behalf. Actually, everything was arranged by him this year. It was his treat for us.

During the makan-makan event, Uncle Singh decided to lay low and hide out at our table for a change. He was running away from Uncle Dan's probing questions on work-related problems (I think laa). Anyway, after Cik Dee announced to everyone that she was expecting (congrats again dear!), Uncle Singh decided to enlightened her on the future prospect of her future baby. This Uncle is an astrology pro. Thus, he starts to read out the signs of each and everyone of us at the table. Since he has read mine before, I didn't bother to probe more.

However, he had said something to me that had made my day... He told everyone at the table that according to his opinion, who ever that is going to marry me will be a very lucky guy. Aha.... Why? Well, according to him, I am a very special person that has a lot to offer a guy. And for a guy not to notice those qualities in me, it would be a great loss for him... Kenapa? Tak percaya ka? *lol*

Of course I didn't believe his words entirely laa kan. However, to hear him say that did boost up my ego a lil' bit laa that time.. Luckily nobody heard the slow sound of my ripping pants.. I think I should ask him to write a testimony on that so that I could show it to the next guy I date/go out with... *winks*

The thought of his words made me beam for the rest of the day.....

Met up with my girlfriends after work for our so-called monthly therapy session. It was good to see them (as always) to just relax and update each other on what's the latest happenings in each other's lives over Rhumba and cappuchino.

Mrs. W. will be switching job again (for the 4th time in 3 years) soon.. Plus, she'll finally get to move out from her in-laws house very soon into her 'dream' home.. Am so looking forward to checkout your new house with all the 'Casa Impian'-like deco. However, fret not dear.. we will come bearing food ok. So tell your darling husband not to freak out.

Ejan was excited about her department's get-away trip. She was telling us about all those expensive lucky draw prizes that she managed to secure from the company's vendor.. The coolest prize would definitely be the iMac powerbook and all those 5-star holiday getaway packages.. Girl, if you manage to get the powerbook kan.. nak trade tak? You can tak gheti guna iMac.. hehehhe..

It was a great session, girls. It was just what I needed before my class starts this weekend and the quarterly report period in 2 weeks time. Will try to absorb all the laughter and fun deep into my system so that it will keep me running during the rough period.

Note: A new template.. just needed a change laaa... For those that still haven't noticed it.. the sidebar is hidden on the top right corner of the page. However, this template is still a work-in-progress. I do welcome feedbacks, ideas and helping hand to further improve it.

binx: still floating on cloud 9
