What does it say about the management of a department or a company when 7 out of 11 people in one team resigned in one month?
Well, that was what happened to my team in August and early September.
Everything is going downhill now as the original members of the team that had undergone the 2 months solid training in the UK had tendered their resignation last month. They were not satisfied with the way the upper management handles the team. Their voices were not heard. They were over-worked and under-paid. Hence, when a rival bank, who just started up a new department and needed skilled workers offered to double their current pay, they jumped without any hesitation.
So now, from a newbie, I became one of the senior members of the team. I was put in charged to train the new trainees, as how my seniors had trained me.
I wish I could resign as well. However, after submitting my resumes everywhere, there is still no luck in securing a job *sigh*. Just hope that after being accepted as an associate member of CIMA (in October, I hope!), the job offer will start coming my way.
As for now, I have to settle with working for more than 12 hours a day and earning peanuts.
binx: back to sending out resumes!
