Well, today was not my first time taking the LRT. However, it was my first time taking the LRT during peak hours.
Imagine my horror when I saw the sardine-packed train this morning. There was no room to even breathe. However, since I had no choice but to squeeze myself in or be late on my very 1st day, I took a deep breath and plunged into the train without any hesitation.
I had barely enough space to stand comfortably. And the minah standing beside me still had time to pull out her Malay novel, oblivious to her surrounding, and started reading, while trying to maintain her balance at the same time. I wonder how she did that. Maybe it came with daily practice eh...
It was already 6.15 p.m. when I stepped down into the LRT terminal. There I was thinking that the crowd must have died down by that time since most of the offices let their staff go off early during Ramadhan. Oh, was I wrong... !
When the train came, the people, who had queued obediently at first, turned into monsters and started to pushed and squeezed themselves into the jammed-packed train. I was pushed from the front-back-left-right. Even the hot, delicious karipap that I was carrying got squashed during that ordeal. Sedey tau....
At one point of time during the train ride, I felt something poking into my butt. It caught me by surprised and I was really paranoid that someone might have taken advantage of the situation and got "excited". Luckily, it was just a PVC sling bag that a kakak was carrying and NOT someone's "thing". Horror nyeee laaa...
*sigh*
I really salute you guys that had been taking the train to and from work. How did you do it?
binx: *sad*

welcome to the commuting life, well you'll get used to it, as well as knowing where to stand (i cant sit coz i know i have to be the first fella to give up his seat), i usually stand in the middle, usually theres space there coz malaysians all want to stand near the door
psst..let me tell u a secret.
Once u get into the train and once u get a seat...
Stare at the floor non-stop.

Forgive me for the intrusion to this discussion.
Dedicated to Little Nurin
from a father of none
On this day that I saw your dried tears,
I pledge my vows and lifted my spears,
and let loose a war cry so all could hear,
I paint my eyes black and pay homage to the devil’s lair,
and wage my soul to barter this unjust despair,
I ask him unto me he would give the hideous of stare,
so that I find this son of an unholy night mare,
and hunt him down with out any care,
once he lays under my anger snare,
I will gnaw his heart bare,
while life still dangles in sinful hair,
and I will drink his blood in cups of pair,
then I will pluck each and every one of his beastly hair,
and make a lace out of that bastard stare,
so all bestial man be aware,
this world shall never be his damned soul's lair.
Oh the dissapointment. I thought some one got 'excited'!
Hehehe.
Welcome back to the working world. Next time we go out, you would have a common thing to talk about with my Hubby.
errr...just wondering, who is this demonsinme chap. Very literate..err...in his own gothic way.
