Confession of a drama junkie

For the past month, I have been downloading all sorts of thing from the net just to keep me entertained. I had too because they no longer sell cheap DVDs in Low Yat. Hence, I started utilising the Limewire P2P program that I have downloaded ages ago and searched for all the tv series that I can think of.

The first drama that I have downloaded was Grey's Anatomy. Even with the slow connection, I have managed to download two full season of the show. I was so caught up with Dr McDreamy, McSteamy, McHot to notice the length of time that it took to complete the download for the whole season. Now I can't wait for them to start releasing the 3rd Season this coming spring!

Then I decided to download One Tree Hill (OTH) because I have missed a few episodes in the 1st season that they aired on Astro. One by one I downloaded them and now I am in the middle of the 2nd season's episodes. However, since Streamyx has been misbehaving lately, the time taken to download an episode had taken longer than usual and it is really testing my patience... *tarik rambut*

Since OTH's downloading became so lembab, I played around with the search engine and typed out Full House. Then came all the search results for that particular key words. Yeay! I can't remembered when was the last time I watched the Tanner families... Memang old skool habis ok.. That was the time when the Olsen twins were still cute and adorable. I have just passed all the shows that I have downloaded to my Lil Sis and she still can't stop laughing watching those shows.

One day, while chatting with a friend, I suddenly remembered the nights when every young teens stayed glued to the tv to watch Beverly Hills 90210.. hahahaha.. We both had cracked up over the hideous hairstyles and clothes (it was really cool back then though). So for fun sake, I have searched for the show online with no hope of finding any. Oh was I wrong... hehehe.. I have managed to download a few episodes and had managed to jump start the memories of Brandon and Brenda Walsh all over again... Syok!

Another series that I have been trying to download is the Gilmore Girls. I have stopped watching the series since it was switched to 8tv few years back. And it was a surprise to see that they are now running their 6th season. That's alot of seasons to catch up! I just love watching these two coffee addicts go about their lives and the way they talk - oh so fast.. So did Lorelai finally hook up with Luke and Rory with his nephew? I will just have to find out, rite?

I also have been trying to download japanese drama series but I can't seem to find any online... I am looking for Beautiful Life - starring Kimura Takuya. It's about a hair stylist and a crippled girl.. A really nice show. Anyone know how I can get my hands on this show?

So that's it... That was what I have been up to for the past month, besides the road trips and trying to get myself prepared to start tutoring. Fun eh?

What other shows do you guys recommend for me to download?

Whenever in doubt, just go straight...

That was the motto of the trip last weekend....

Since my sis needed to do some research for work in Penang, I decided to tag along to test out the new camera. Well, there are still a lot of things that I need to learn about the new gadget. Hence, the pictures taken were nothing extraordinary (normal). I guess I have to go for another road trip soon in order to get more practice... (Redang/Perhentian anyone?)

Thanks to our tour guide import and the nature of Sis' research, I got to explore the other side of Penang that I never knew existed. We went round and round (trust me, there were many rounds.. hehehe..) the city and go through the back lanes and main road just to visit all the historical places that Sis needed to cover within the one and a half day trip.

The food... Since I am not a fan of nasi kandar, I don't know how to rate it. However, our tour guide had mentioned that the place that we stopped for lunch serves the best nasi kandar in Penang. Besides nasi kandar, we also had kerang bakar and ABC at Padang Kota. Then for dinner, we went to Brown Park (Padang Brown?) and had char kuey teow, laksa and pasembor.

Wished we could have stayed longer in Penang. There were places to visit and more food to sample. However, that will just have to wait. Maybe next time...

Another road trip!

With all the things that is happening in my life rite now, I really welcome the chance to get away.

Today I ventured out to Bangi to visit this blogger, who had recently gave birth to a beautiful baby girl. The sight of the cute little bundle of joy had managed to release some of the stress that I have been feeling lately. I wish I could post up her picture up here, but I forgot to get a clearance from the Mommy.. :)

A slight detour to Jalan Bellamy, and we had feast ourselves with the famous ikan bakar.. However, I kinda noticed that they have lost the touch with the air assam because I didn't get the extra ummphh while feasting through my favourite ikan terubuk bakar...

And tomorrow.. oopss.. in a few hours time, I'll be on my way to Penang! A good opportunity to test drive the new camera.. hehehe...

Have another good weekend, ppl!

You came...

Whenever I posted some funny tales... you came

Whenever I posted some sad stories... you came

Whenever I posted some serious stories... you came

Whenever I posted something just for the sake of blogging... you came

And even when I ran out of ideas to blog about and didn't post anything for few days... you still come without fail, checking for updates...

With that I am deeply grateful...

I know that I am not a great writer and what not, but I do appreciate you lurking over just for a glimpse of what I have to say for the day.

binx: thanks!

All in 24 hrs...

We left KL @ 10 pm, Friday night by train

Arrived in Woodlands @ 7 am, Saturday

Went to the Apple Center, Ochard Road @ 11 am with the hope to get this @ 50% (after discount = RM300). However, we found out that they actually allocated 7 units per day and the crowd had started queing in front of the store as early as 7 am (the store opens at 11 am!).. Keciwa...

Went window shopping for the rest of the afternoon. There was nothing interesting though, maybe because we were too tired to explore the whole row of malls...

However, I cheered up after purchasing this! Finally!!!

And then we went to lepak at the Eastcoast park and feast on seafood galore and Singapore style - sup tulang. After stuffing ourselves with all the delicious food, we went to check this out.. Very cool display!

We crossed over to JB and took the bus home @ 9 pm...

Let what will be, be...

When the spent sun throws up its rays on cloud
And goes down burning into the gulf below,
No voice in nature is heard to cry aloud
At what has happened. Birds, at least must know
It is the change to darkness in the sky.
Murmuring something quiet in her breast,
One bird begins to close a faded eye;
Or overtaken too far from his nest,
Hurrying low above the grove, some waif
Swoops just in time to his remembered tree.
At most he thinks or twitters softly, 'Safe!
Now let the night be dark for all of me.
Let the night bee too dark for me to see
Into the future. Let what will be, be.'

Aimless drive...

Took a long drive tonight - an aimless one. I didn't have any specific destination in mind, but I know I just needed to be outside.

One would think that after the 40 km drive, One would finally feel normal again. However, I returned home with the same feeling that I felt before.

*sigh*

I just hope that the trip to Singapore this weekend will do me good...
