Until the end of time.....

I never knew that you’d be so beautiful
I never thought in a million years you'd be mine
For all my life I've been waiting
To see if dreams come true
Never once I believe
There’s someone out there like you

- Until the end of time (The wedding song)
Innuendo -

The song was a perfect description of the wedding I've attended last weekend. Finally, last weekend the couple were joined as husband and wife after almost 11 years of courtship. And the event was celebrated in a very lovely ceremony attended by relatives and close friends of the bride and groom.

After just one lafaz, Ejan officially became Mrs. R until the end of time (insyallah).. Even though she said that she was cool throughout the akad nikah ceremony, I saw a sign of relief on her face once the Kadi confirmed that the akad was sah.

Everything was done beautifully.. the pelamin, the bilik pengantin.. all according to the bride's dream wedding plan. I wish all the best to the couple in embarking on the voyage as a married couple. May your marriage be as beautiful as the wedding itself...

Suddenly everything went pitch black....

I was so in the mood to finish up my work for the week today cause I'll be on leave tomorrow... Hence, was damn motivated trying to reconcile the stupid fixed asset register... Even disregard the YM msgs that I received from fellow chatters..

Looked at the PC clock.. It was close to lunch time.. and my work is almost complete.. Just need a little tweaking here and there.. takpe laa maybe can do that after lunch.. was about to save my work when suddenly everything went black......

Arghhh... not again (there was one incident last month when the building had no electricity in the morning).. I thought it was only the building.. but found out later that it had affected the northern region of the country...

Luckily I was on the 5th floor.. So it was not that bad going up and down the stairs.. On my way back from lunch I bumped into one of the bosses on the 18th floor on her way down for lunch.. Cian that Dragon Lady.. She look as if she's gonna faint any time soon..

Things people do to kill the time in the dark

  • mengumpat - this people ah.. they have nothing better to do besides talking about other people's life.. "that person ah.. he got 3 wives you know.. and he's only an office boy.. but ah.. his wife semua kaya-kaya..."
  • clear out their in-trays - an opportunity to finally catch up with their filling work...
  • crawl under the table and doze off - aaahh.. a chance for some shut eye...
  • sort out their used papers - to be shredded or recycled
  • catch up with other fellow colleagues - since during normal working hours they don't have time even to say "hey"..

==========

I'm off to Shah Alam in an hour time to help out with the last minute wedding preparations... Yeay!.. Tomorrow tak kerja..

So.. to everyone.. have a good weekend yeah... I know I'm definitely gonna..

Henna and The Bride-to-be...

My hands smell of henna leaves now... Had spent almost 2 hours attending to the bride-to-be during her "berinai" session..

It was fun to be with the girls.. It'll be one of the moments that will be cherished always.. Just like the time during Nai's berinai session in Penang last August. I can still remember it vividly.. How she sat during the whole "berinai" session, while me and Ejan "kerja-kan" her hands and legs clumsily.. *lol*.. (you are so lucky I don't have the pic with me..). Sorry laa girl.. we're mere amateur laa.. but luckily the inai turned out ok kan.. *winks*

Ejan's inai was beautifully drawn by her mak andam.. Lawa laa.. takde laa ala' indian sangat.. But all the fuss after that.. penat ooo.. One tip when wearing henna is that you have to constantly dab water (or in Ejan's case it was air teh'O pekat and lime water) on it so as to let the moisture to dampen the henna leaves. So, for the whole two hours I was constantly making sure that all part of her henna covered hand and legs were moist. While Nai, being a good mother figure, fed us dinner.. yummy.. makan bersuap.. *smile*

While Ejan was relaxed with the whole wedding preparation, her other half was getting all jittery about the whole thing. Doa qunut to hafal.. and etc... He was frantic... And after being forced by the queen, he reluctantly put some henna on 3 of his right fingers...

Groom: ala.. kena ke B?
Bride: kena laaaaa.... baru laaa nampak macam dah kawin..
Groom: tak payah laaa.. malu laaa
Bride: alaa.... buat laaaaaaaaaa.... tak lama nya lekat.. one week hilang laa
during the one hour after he put it on
Groom: B.. dah laa.. dah merah dah
Bride: hey.. baru jek letak.. tak kisah pakai gak
into the 2nd hour
Groom: cepat laaa bukak.. dah merah dah nieh
Me: hey.. once in a lifetime experience laaa.. cherish it
Groom: no way.. mana macho pakai2 inai nieh

So, Ejan.. here's a good start to a beautiful wedding.. I can't give you any advice for I still have yet to experience the whole thing.. But I can just share with you other people's thoughts on marriage.. read it here and here.

Here's to a beautiful marriage gurl....

Enthusiastic addicts

Good Morning Monday....!

So far I'm off to a good start... Yesterday's facial was soooo good that I slept like a baby throughout the night. Woke up early this morning and took my own sweet time getting ready for work..

Got a call from J on the way to work and was catching up on our life stories that the KL traffic situation escaped my mind.. sedar2 I've reached my office's car park (and still had 10 minutes to spare).

Things to look forward to this week:-

  • a friday off day from work
  • Ejan's wedding.......! (finally it's here)
  • getting the tax queries over and done with
  • wearing my new baju kebaya (hopefully this one does not ripped laa kan)

So, here's to a good week for everyone.. Cheers!

What a day...

What a wonderful feeling it is to wake up at 11 a.m. on a Sunday morning.. in fact on any morning of the week. No jumping out of bed and cursing oneself for being late for work.

==========

I had a long day yesterday...

8.00 a.m - La Bodega, Bangsar
Breakfast with the girls, ala SATC. Had scrambled eggs, toast, baked beans and chicken sausages with pink guava juice and mocha coffee.. simply delicious.. It's been quite a while since I had a real breakfast. In fact, I haven't had a proper meal for the whole week (I rarely eat when I'm all stressed out - hence, explains the ranting-like fingers and all *lol*).

As usual, my company was very entertaining, esp. Mrs. Wacko a.k.a Rebecca Bloomwood.. My god.. I really don't know how the three of us can click.. We're of totally different characters. However, that's the fun thing about it..

Ejan's all excited about her wedding this coming Friday.. which reminds me that I still haven't submitted my leave form... it'll be the first thing I'll do on Monday.

11 a.m - Wisma MPL, Jalan Raja Chulan
Went to pick up my baju for Ejan's wedding. Gila efficient minah butik nieh.. 5 days dah siap. While waiting for her to make the last minute adjustments to my baju, we went pusing-pusing in the nearly deserted building. There was one VCD stall on the ground floor that sells DVD box set at a very reasonable price. And it's original. Mr. e-d.. the Alias box set's only RM70 per season.. better get it here laa you. SATC box sets are selling for RM40..... wah so cheap one.. (binx made a mental calculation.. ah.. can buy two seasons every month... syok nya...)

For the 2nd time I've misplaced the parking ticket again! (the 1st time happened last month.. and had to rummage my car for like 20 mins to find the damn ticket).. Have paid it at the machine..but when about to approach the exit.. I could not find the damn ticket...
Nai: " Ja... what happened to you laa girl.. you used to be the in control of yourself.. but nowadays to seem to forget every single thing.. why laaa?"
Me: "Dunno laa dear... my brain dah letih kut.. help me find the tickets k..."
Finally remembered that I didn't take the ticket out from the autopay machine after paying for it... this is not good... not good at all...

12.30 p.m - Pasar Besar, TTDI
Went to the pasar to buy cinnamon sticks and bunga lawang to decorate Ejan's wedding souvenirs.. It was a welcome relieve to finally get out of the car instead hearing Mrs. Wacko going on and on about buying a piano and playing it for her guest whenever they come to visit her still non-existent new home - ala Richard Clayderman lagi tuh... haiyooo... macam mana laa I bley kawan ngan minah wacko nieh..! Luckily she can put her "mamak" connection to good use and get the uncle to sell the spices cheap to us..

3.00 p.m - One Utama
With only RM7 bucks in my purse, we went out in search for shoes.. Of course we need new shoes for the new outfits, plus my old sandals are begging to be put out of their miseries (trust me.. I wear my sandals until they no longer look like one - life span for one of binx's sandals : 2 years.. ok laa kan). So off we went searching.. 1st stop: Padini concept store.. Vincci's corner was full of people (never empty pun).. Found a nice black sandal..very sexy (hah!).. Went to the counter to pay for it only to find out that I can't swipe my card cause the purchase is below RM40! For god sake.. the shoe's RM39.90...! Haiya... So had to take another look at the shoes again and get another purchase... and got a nice pair of mules for work.. Now the total had doubled.. and yet there were still problem at the counter..
Cashier: "Sorry miss.. your card is declined..' (with a smug face)
Me: "What do you mean declined? I've just made a purchase 20 minutes ago.. and it was ok.."
Cashier: "Well.. do you have any other card...?"
Me: "Hmm....." (took out the emergency supplementary card)
Cashier: "Sorry miss.. this card is also declined"
Me: "wtf... laaa.... Can you please re-check.. I'm sure there's nothing wrong with both cards.. It's you machine.." (fuming mad...)
Cashier: (with an idiot look) "Hm..... I don't think it's the machine's fault.. but if you insist.. you can try the next counter"
Me: (fuming mad...) "ok.."
And my 1st card was accepted this time.. Hah! See I told you... idiot!!

2 hours later and few hundreds worth of debt, I dropped off Mrs. Wacko at her home and finally head to casa de'heaven..

8.00 p.m - Home
My hands smell of spice and were sticky from the excessive UHU glue.. Haih.. byk nya lagi kena buat... Ok.. slow slow..

After 2 hours of hard labour.. finally finished all the decorations for Ejan's wedding souvenirs.. Perfecto! But that's only 50% of the whole thing.. the other 50% are with Mrs. Wacko.. who was happily watching "Meet the Fockers" the whole two hours I was sticking the spices (keji sgt..).

11 p.m - on the bed
The usual activities laaa.. blog hopping.. plus going through my previous purchase.. and finally zzzzz....

==============

Looking forward to my rejuvenating facial treatment later @ 5.30p.m.. My face is screaming for some TLC treatment for ages..
