Great Company + Good Food = Great Night Out!

Image hosted by Photobucket.com

My jaw still hurts from all the laughs we had tonight. When four crazy girls get together, without their spouses, things tend to get a wee bit carried away.

We laughed at each other's antics, call each other stupid names, bitch about other people (especially some people's SIL, MIL and FIL *lol*), take stupid photos with funny faces (plus the binx's signature 'peace' sign *winks*) and just sit back and enjoy each other's company.

It was just like the good old days. Where work was just a dream.. Where bills are just the unnecessary stress to us.. Where marriage was just a one of the rare topics during our late night chats..

However, yeah indeed things have changed. Instead of talking about the typical teenagers' woes, the topics for the night varies from problems with in-laws, sex, relationship, work, garang bosses and the likes of it. Even though the topic might have changed, but the friendship bond still remains the same.. or perhaps it might have grew stronger over the years.

To Mrs. Wacko, Happy Belated B'day again, gurl! Hope you've enjoyed the night like the rest of us did... I can say that the meal beats the one we had last year (especially with the absence of the chefs with all the kitchen utensils banging their way out-of-tune to a birthday song). Plus, the presence of our long-lost buddy, Dublin Girl actually adds up to the fun - more than ever when she provided me and Ejan with few more missing pieces to the puzzle that we thought has been completed *winks*. Yet, I still feel that you should have told the waiter that it was your b'day and we could have feast ourselves with those yummy looking dessert/ice cream. Oh well, the mud cake was yummy too - just that we were too busy taking pictures while someone polishes it off the plate :p ...

To Dublin Girl, it was great meeting up with you again. Thanks for making the effort to actually call us up this time around. Truly appreciate the thought. Just hope that the long distance will never break the friendship yeah. Remember, please update us on your news once in awhile. Jangan esok nak kawin, hari nieh baru nak inform us tau.. Nanti I sula you :p ...

Girls, thanks for one of the best night I've had this year. Looking forward to more girls night out in the future (if Mrs. W's FIL has not decided to ground her for good for coming back late tonight laa kan - lambat ke?)... However, maybe we should pick a different location the next time around, because I don't think I can endure another day of sore throat due to all the shouting over the loud music and noise *winks*... Plus the rack of lamb was not that great either.. hehehe...

Happy 1 year, Love!

Finally you're a year older... A year older, a year wiser...

It just seems like yesterday when I first brought you home with me. I was very doubtful at first.. Yeah, of course laa.. you being my first and all. I was not quite sure that you are the one that I was looking for. Well, to be honest, you were never in my list of potentials pun. I was actually looking for a smaller package than you, something more compact. However, you come highly recommended by everyone, especially my uncle. When he says that you are good, you must be really really good. Because it is very hard to impress this uncle of mine. Hence, I took his words for it..

When I first met you, up close and personal, I was very impressed with your stylish look. I actually did some background study on you before I finally decided to check you out. I can say that those pictures they put of you on the net don't really do you justice. And I felt a jolt when we first touched. "It was like.... magic" (I'm writing this while watching "Sleepless in Seattle" for the 1000th time)

Our first encounter left me sleepless. I kept thinking about you that night, pondering on whether there is a future for us. Even though I was suppose to be concentrating on my final exam during that time, your image kept appearing before my eyes during those long hours in the library... Angau? I guess as much laa kut..

After much pondering, I've finally decided to commit. And it was the best decision I've made so far. My family loves you, my friends loves you and most importantly I LOVE you! The trips we took through out the year was a memorable one, esp. the one to Pangkor with the girls... blissful...

Though we've encountered some glitches here and there, we've managed to pull through it, rite? I have to admit that I've almost give up on us a few times, especially when the financial situation was very tight.. However, with much patience and lots and lots of "ikat perut" situation, we survived! Well, I guess we just have to wait for this future millionaire to really become a millionaire laa kan... *winks*

So, happy 1 year, Love.. Looking forward to share more happy journeys with you in many years to come.

Slow Dance

I received this email yesterday and it made me pause and think...

This poem was written by a terminally ill young girl in a New York Hospital.

SLOW DANCE

Have you ever watched kids
On a merry-go-round?
Or listened to the rain
Slapping on the ground?
Ever followed a butterfly's erratic flight?
Or gazed at the sun into the fading night?
You better slow down.
Don't dance so fast.
Time is short.
The music won't last.

Do you run through each day
On the fly?
When you ask How are you?
Do you hear the reply?
When the day is done
Do you lie in your bed
With the next hundred chores
Running through your head?

You'd better slow down
Don't dance so fast.
Time is short.
The music won't last.

Ever told your child,
We'll do it tomorrow?
And in your haste,
Not see his sorrow?

Ever lost touch,
Let a good friendship die
Cause you never had time
To call and say,"Hi"
You'd better slow down.
Don't dance so fast.
Time is short.
The music won't last.

When you run so fast to get somewhere
You miss half the fun of getting there.
When you worry and hurry through your day,
It is like an unopened gift.... Thrown away.
Life is not a race.
Do take it slower
Hear the music
Before the song is over.

Go away...!

I used to be happy without you. My life used to be carefree before you decided appear.

Why do you like to show up unannounced? And your timing sucks, BIG time!... You love to sneak up on me when I least expected it. The day I need to look my best, you'll come knocking on the door, that is if you bother to knock at all. At times you'll just come barging in... WHY?

Why can't my life be much simpler than this? A life without you. I take one look at you and all my anger starts to boiled up. I don't want to be starring in the mirror every morning and every night and see you starring back at me.. taunting me to squeeze you out of your life...

Why can't you go and kacau someone else? Try bugging them for a change...

Look at them... They have such beautiful face.. Flawless skin... So, go kacau them laaaa... Please... I beg you...

Oh well, I guess tonight I just have to use some protection... again!!!

This use to be my playground...

Image hosted by Photobucket.com

Ah... childhood.. The time when everything else does not matter to you. What matters the most is to have fun...

The things we do when we were kids... Fun things... I was a very notty one back then... My life was filled with many 'interesting' activities. *winks*

Apart from having an imaginary friend (who lives in Japan), I tend to live in an imaginary world of my own. I do things that are unexplainable and unjustifiable. What did I do? Well........
  1. I like to talk to myself all the time. Maybe I was talking to the lil' angel and lil' devil kut.. *lol*. Plus, I like to make up stories. Ask my parents and they'll tell you all the silly stories that I've made up. Macam-macam I tell you...

  2. I used to take back all the toys frm kindergarten.. Bukan curik.. pinjam kut. One day, I actually brought back a wooden horse, a musical box and canggih tv-like toy. How did I managed to sumbat everything in my small bag also I dunno, but I did. That was when Mom & Dad realized and asked. "Cikgu suruh bawak balik... betuuuuuuul...". However, I guess they know me better and forced me to return it back the next day. Aha... but Lil' Binx brought back something else the next day... and the day after that... and the day after that...

  3. Oh yeah.. besides toys, I love to bring back those 'Peter and Jane' books.. Those were my fave.. "There is Peter. There is Jane. There is Peter and Jane". *lol* Mom ended up buying the books for me so that I'll stop bringing back the books from school.

  4. There was once where I actually shaved part of my head (almost bald), part of my eyebrow and also my forehead. What had gotten into me? I dunno... Something told me that shaving looks fun as I watched Dad shave every morning. Hence, one day, as soon as he left for work, I grabbed the shaver and started shaving my head.. "Ouwh.. that feels good..." shave.. shave.. shave.. My aunt was stunt when she found me half bald with a shaver in one hand.. I still have the picture.. and boy do I look cute.. *lol* (mind you.. I was about 3 or 4 years old aje that time).
Ah... those were the days... Thinking back, there was never a dull moment in my life back then (d'oh... what do you expect.. budak kicik..). Unfortunately, now things are very routine and dull for me (apart from the occasional outings with my friends). Wakes up in the morning, go to work, work work work, come back home and sleep. Borrriiiiiinnnnnnnnggggggggggg...........

Suddenly this song came to mind.. Dunno how it relates to this post, but......
I love this song

This used to be my playground
This used to be my childhood dream
This used to be the place i ran to
Whenever i was in need
Of a friend
Why did it have to end
And why do they always say

Don't look back
Keep your head held high
Don't ask them why
Because life is short
And before you know
You're feeling old
And your heart is breaking
Don't hold on to the past
Well that's too much to ask

(chorus)

No regrets
But i wish that you
Were here with me
Well then there's hope yet
I can see your face
In our secret place

You're not just a memory
Say goodbye to yesterday
Those are words i'll never say

This used to be my playground
This used to be our pride and joy
This used to be the place we ran to
That no one in the world could dare destroy
This use to be my playground

The Most Perfect Dessert...

Image hosted by Photobucket.com
the delicious pancake from Paddington House of Pancake

Last Saturday I found myself enjoying a plate of the most delicious dessert ever with 3 great girls. It was a welcome change to my ever so dull life.

The outing was actually our pit stop after attending our ex-housemate's wedding in Rembau, Negeri Sembilan. Plus, it was also to celebrate Syam's birthday and Nurul's success in scoring a 4.00 GPA in her Masters course!!

Congrats to Jeghing on her wedding - finally you've found your Howie D ey...

Happy Belated b'day Syam - may your years ahead be filled with love and joy and many happy occasions (hint.. hint..).

And Congrats Nurul on your brilliant success - just make sure you don't go pushing yourself too hard ok.. Need to balance it out k girl..

Meeting those girls at the wedding had brought back lots of happy memories of our innocent A-Levels days at PPP-ITM. We were all so carefree back then. Our only concern was to finish up Pn. Raenah's Financial Accounting assignment on time as to not get any scolding from the garang lecturer.

We were a tight group back then, spending most of our free time together. Those occassional trips to the TGV Bukit Raja for movies was one of the fun things during those days. Not to forget the last time I've ever set my foot in the PJ States cinema was with the girls *lol*. Nak tengok the premier of MIB (Men In Black) punya pasal, that all us of sanggup sneak out and watch it at one of the oldest cinema in town. However, I ended up dozing off during the 2nd half of the show, amidst all the loud noises and smoke-filled air. Those were the days...

The four of us had some great laughs that day, reminiscing on how innocent we were back then.

  • Jeghing with her thick round glass constantly hiding her face in the thick romance novels of hers
  • Juli in her fav. cotton baju kurung (like Orked's in Sepet) as selamba as always
  • Maliz, Irda & Ayu - the 3 SSP girls, constantly gossiping about ppl (fun girls)
  • Az and Fiza - constantly laughing at each other's antics
  • Nija - very observant girl - will notice everything and anything new.. plus the person that thought me to pay the toll using 1 sen coins *lol*
  • Hana - a very unique girl.. I shall say..
  • Kairin - the girl who spends most of the time on the handphone.. a kind-hearted soul with funny bones.. *winks*
  • Syam - the girl who like to speaks in 'pantuns' - so she forms her very own ' squad pantun' *lol*
  • Nurul - the innocent girl that will always be the last to get any dirty jokes that we cracked - if she ever gets it laa..
  • Me - hmmm.... I can't describe myself laa.. the serious one? the sweet one? the tall one?

Thanks for the wonderful company, girls. We should do the dessert outing more often...

Ok.. Ok.. Jangan laa marah.....

Ok people.. I'm crying for help here..

My sis dah mengamuk this morning about this (read it here and here). And I guess I really have to let go of the three kittens.. Errmm.. Two kut..

Anyone interested to adopt a kitten or kittens? It's not that I don't want to keep them, but I really feel that they deserve to get more attention than I can give them. Plus, there's a cat hater in the house......

Please help save my cats...
